All throughout the hotel it stunk like sewage--except inside the room. The lobby, the hallways, the dinning area, the elevators all smelled like poop. They clearly had pluming problems. I have never stayed at a hotel that smelled that bad. I hope they fix that problem quickly. Also, my hotel's bath tub clogged up, which was not fun.
The front desk staff was pretty friendly and understanding, however, the was a huge disparity on the way the custodial/house keeping staff is treated. The house keeping staff was nice, but while on their breaks, I could tell they weren't happy. Over all, I got the sense that management lack leadership, and does not treat it's workers with dignity and respect. I felt bad for the staff, event front desk staff, which didn't seem to receive enough support. Clearly, more work needs to be done to provide support for the hotel staff. Incentives, trainings, and good leadership is key. Knowing that the people I am paying to help my vacation be a good is experience aren't being treated well made me feel upset at the management. Suffice to say, that I was very happy with how front desk staff switched me rooms so quickly when there was a pluming problem in my room.
