The location was great. You can walk to most of the major spots and there are stations nearby that you can use to travel up or downtown. The breakfast was great and staff very friendly.
The noise from the streets and loud sirens can be a nuisance. There is nothing the hotel can do about it, so just be aware of the issue and prepare accordingly.
it was near from everything including subway, times square and empire state building. It was also surrounded be restaurants and coffees. Again perfect location and i strongly recommend it for all manhatten business and tourist visitors.
Breakfast was great! Staff very nice. Beautiful smell in hotel lobby. Rooms were small for 5 but good. Location was fantastic epically to Macys and Time square
Sofa bed was okay mattress was a little thin. Would have liked them to have left all bedding for sofa bed in room but when I called they did provide
good location breakfast option room size good for NYC staff friendly
wifi inconsistent could not get two rooms on one floor - 3 kids on one floor and adults on another despite booking and checking in together - offered option of room on same floor next day housekeeping - glasses not replaced and could not get bottle opener to room
Quiet; very clean; good size room especially for NYC; comfortable beds; great staff
I usually stay midtown so some places I go to are a very long walk; subway not too convenient; breakfast not too exciting
Nice, clean room and bath. Newer finishes, flat screen TV and nice bathroom. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating.
No view from room.
Friendly service...Comfortable Beds and the location is perfect for going anywhere in Manhatten
Our view from the 22nd floor. The excellent diner/takeaway next door to the hotel - very cheap especially for fresh and tasty salads The location was excellent for exploring by foot and close to the subway for other excursions You could open the window.
A fairly basic room for the price. The breakfast was very limited and repetitive - a little better over the weekend. Plastic/melamine plates and cups in the breakfast room. Paper cups were also provided!
The fact that I was not too high up since the elevators take ages
The fact that I was misled upon checking in that my Hyatt account would be credited with the requisite points for my 9 night stay only to be told at check out and afterwards on email by a less than generous manager that I would not be credited any points since I used booking.com HENCE no more use of booking.com and no more stay at Hyatt Place NY for me
Clean Pleasant Staff
Noise (construction kept me up and staff offered me earplugs) Price Neighborhood
The location is good but hotel is average. Only 2 lifts for 29 floors means you can wait a while for a lift.
Room has a sofa and more space than average NY hotel, location is top notch, elevator is fast, breakfast is very good with eggs, muffins, fresh oatmeal, room window is wide and can actually open a bit to let air in, street is quiet enough- for NY-. Staff is definitely good. the hotel is spotless clean and feels new. 24hrs food menu available.
Too Pricy during the fashion week, the wifi is great and fast but logs off every 10 mn, overall nothing really negative to say.
They were all wonderful to help with anything you asked about. We were also comped drinks because it was our 50th wedding anniversary trip.
The location and the perfect functioning wifi.
the room was small. The windows of the room unbelievably dirty. Breakfast very bad and poor, incredible in NYC. The day before check-out I ask if they could store my big suite-case, given that I was booked for another stay 4 days later. After some negotiation the receptionist agreed. At the check-out, even ensuring that I was taking all the responsibility on me, they refused to store my suite-case due to the company policy. Lack of flexibility denouncing lack of attention to the customer. After all, I was booked for another three nights stay! Unfortunately NYC was all booked in those days, otherwise I would have changed hotel!
The location. Breakfast was ok.
Elevator took forever to come. Room for 6 is ridiculous.
very expensive ( sept 14) and rooms on the street very very noisy ( construction work all night in the street)
Location, friendly staff, quiet in the busy city.
I was very happy with the hotel, nothing to dislike.
We arrived much before the checking in time in the morning, but they checked us in straight away and most importantly upgraded us to a room with double beds and a view to the Empire State Building!!! It was amazing. Hotel is very nicely decorated with contemporary art. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. Staff are very nice. Fantastic location.
Bagels at breakfast could be better quality.
central to alot of the tourist attractions. we were on the 22nd floor and there was no major noise. clean and comfortable.this is not a luxury hotel so if that's what you want the hyatt is not for you however it was perfect for us.
fitness centre was terrible. not alot of equipment, although this is a small complaint for an enjoyable stay.
Location, clean, children friendly.
The hotel has 2 elevators. One doesn't work . For 5 days we had to wait 15 min. Each time for an elevator
I like the location because it is pretty close to subway, shopping, tourist spots, eating places. The free breakfast is excellent and has variety of choices. Victor, the guy who helped us with our luggage is very friendly and answered our questions quite well.
The guy in the reception when we checked in the morning didn't seem to have patience answering questions. Fortunately, the girl who was helping him was able to help us with our request and questions.
Everything. Very dilapidated facility from entrance to elevators poorly working, carpet completely bare threads, not sound proof. Needs a complete renovation or tear down
