Location is great and it's very easy to get to all the parks from this hotel. Beautiful landscaped grounds with well manicured tropical plants. Pitch & putt and cycle hire routes were great fun with teenagers. Food at Hemingway's was outstanding on the two occasions we ate in the restaurant.
We had booked 3 rooms and had to wait over 2 hours for one room even though we were checking in after 3pm. We had booked a table for dinner in Hemingway's Restaurant at a specific time but still had to wait 10 minutes after the booking time for our table. The hotel staff at check in and Hemingway's were weak on customer service and appeared unconcerned about our complaints. Beware the hotel adds charges that are mandatory - resort fee, room rate varies daily, parking plus all the taxes) so check carefully these costs before booking as they add a lot to the cost you get quoted on booking.com. The large swimming pool was unheated and too cold to stay in for a long swim unfortunately.
The property was beautiful and well kept inside and out.
The land of of hotel very big we liked the ride bicycle with the kids next to lake .Swimming pool was nice ( heated and regular pools)Rooms were big enough and very clean
Parking was very expensive parking is 17 $ /Day valet is 25$ plus tax ! Also they charge 25 $ per day for room
I felt the staff tried to accomidate our needs wherever possible but something's were out of there control. We did appreciate their effort. The grounds were clean and nicely manicured.
The Bed was extremely uncomfortable. It sagged where you are to lay and very bumpy. Also the shower leaked onto the floor and therefore was soaking wet while standing in front of the sink.
location, amenities, pool experience golf course (New)
bed too soft--pillows too small--uncomfortable for an old man like me--everything else Great!
Great facilities and location. Staff very helpful, this resort has it all.
High rate for parking
We were greeted with champagne
Hotel was old, carpet was dirty, dinning for breakfast was fair, buffet was not welcoming food had ran out at 11 on Sunday. Room had an oder, needs to be updated.
I loved the entire resort. I enjoyed the pool area the most and also all the activities that you can do around the hotel.
The price was a bit steep for some things.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good facilities and stunning pool Fantastic gym Free shuttle to theme parks (Disney, Universal, SeaWorld etc) Brilliant food
Food can be expensive: To order room service they add Tax, a $3.50 charge and 22% gratuity, meaning that you're adding 42% and $3.50 before you've even tipped the waiter. We were hoping concierge might have good deals on tickets to the parks but they ended up being more expensive than if we had bought them at the parks themselves.
All activities were included in the low resort fee. Staff went above and beyond to make my husbands birthday incredible. Planning my next trip for my sons 6th birthday and this will be our first choice! Breakfast buffet was well worth it. 5 stars all the way!
Location was excellent, rooms reasonable, views to disney resorts brilliant, and pool area pretty cool
I had the breakfast option included in my booking, but upon checkout, they charged me for breakfast on 3 out of my 7 days. Queried this and was told it would be rectified immediately. Then proceed to have our final breakfast on checkout day (confirmed to be included in overall bill), and was charged again. Had to go and complain yet again, and hey, we apologise, it will be rectified. Hate having to be kept on my toes on a holiday.. Thought I was meant to be relaxing. Also, nothing is complimentary here.. My 18month old son needed floats for swimming and the room was charged $12.78 to use the hotels floats. These things were about $3 at the local WinnDixies.. Not sure I will return..
We've stayed here before and it never fails to disappoint! While there was some lobby construction going on this week, our stay was still wonderful. Our room was recently redone and was very modern and comfortable. We had a great view over the pool, pond, and looking out towards the Disney parks where we could see the fireworks. The amenities and facilities are just amazing, we wish we had more days at the HRGC to use them all. It's the best pool ever and the staff are great.
The lobby construction, but that's all finished now!
After years of extensive travel this is the first time I felt compelled to comment in a review. Having booked hotel for business/ pleasure we arrived to see a construction site in the in the Lobby and most access closed, shops shut and dust everywhere. I appreciate that upgrades are needed, but surely a prewarning is , if not compulsory at least morally correct. As I say I was visiting mainly for business but what a let down for families on vacation. Hyatt - you should be ashamed. I will never use yr chain again and will actively deter others.
We traveled with our girls (10+7 years old) This hotel had it all! pools with waterfalls and caves, wall climbing, fire pit at night with smores, private beach, paddle boats, mermaid lessons and so much more! The rooms were a nice size and comfortable, situated around 15-20 minute ride from the Disney parks and 10 minute ride from Orlando's Premium Outlets, very close to many restaurants and Downtown Disney. Lovely staff, especially the waiters at breakfast--super friendly and welcoming:) Will defiantly be coming back on our next trip!
It was a great experience , I went with my mother and could not be better I just woul love to stay longer next time
The staff they are well trained, very helpful.
The facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great time.
No Airport shuttle. No Hospitality suite for guests leaving later in the day. Could use more shuttles to local attractions.
As much we pay for this hotel we deserve to have a free Wi-fi in the rooms as well as the parking , thanks
If you're looking for a great time in Orlando and want a daily resort routine with your family, this is definitely one of the right places for it! The pool area is amazing, the hotel rooms are tidy and the view... Unbelievable! I will recommend it to all of my friends!
Self-parking fees could have been included in the daily hotel fee. $17 is not cheap for Orlando, a place with plenty of empty lots.
Beautiful hotel inside and out Staff was so warm and comforting Pool and jacuzzi 24 hours Free glass of champagne when you check in Private Resort Many restaurants around
Will be hard to get around without a rental car because the resort is about 20 minute walk to the closest restaurants (ihop) About 25 minutes away from universal studios and 20 minutes away from disney but not a problem with your own car Parking is 17.00 a day (15 if you book through booking.com) Had to pay tax on the 25.00 a day service fee
The rooms are well equipped and large. Excellent restaurant. Spectacular pools, Own lake with beach. Numerous activities . Running tracks.
The shuttle bus runs only 1x/day to Universal and Sea World, with very unpractical timing. Better take the car.
The facilities are excellent. The pool is amazing and kids love it. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The shuttle bus service provided to the main attractions eases the hassle of driving and parking.
The $25/day "resort fee" is a bad idea. It creates the same impression people get when they buy an airline ticket and show up at the airport only to discover they have to pay several extra fees for things that should have been included. Just charge the appropriate price for the hotel room + taxes. That's it. It would also be nice if the "on-property" shuttle van could make scheduled trips to/from Downtown Disney to designated drop off/pick up points. Catching a taxi back from dd is a nightmare.
The staff at this hotel are second to none! EVERY employee we encountered was fantastic! Prior to this trip, the Pointe Orlando was our favorite place, but the staff at the Hyatt Grand Cypress definitely bumped the bar up. Thanks so much for a great vacation!! We loved every moment of it!
A refrigerator and microwave in the rooms would be greatly appreciated. I get the extra fees, go to California and you will find the same thing. But, to pay what you pay to stay here without the ability to make some of your meals or snacks in the room is frustrating.
The friendliness of the staff The facilities The location
