Tons of wildlife on the property, and one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever eaten in. Great staff, tons to do
Great for a family vacation and staff is very friendly.
Pool general ambience good reastaurants board walk to Whalers
Unacceptable to not have barista made coffee at breakfast.
Amazing helpful staff Beautiful buffet breakfasts every morning Amazing restraunt Japengos beautifully clean room every day Fantastic concierges Amazing reception areas
designated smoking area was too far away !!! We were never able to get a chair poolside at 9am in the morning chairs were always taken by invisible people that had claimed them for the day with a towel and magazine !!!!!!!!!In 4 days we NEVER got a chair poolside
Beautiful ocean view, great location, one excellent restaurant (Japengos), truly excellent staff, charming penguins and a genuinely nice ambiance. This is a great place to stay and a good launching pad from which to explore the rest of the island.
We found the bathroom itself (bathtub/shower & toilet) to be very small and cramped, and the general cleanliness of the bathroom area could have been better. But this is only a light complaint. By no means was it "bad". The steak restaurant was not as good as Japengos and very pricey. But if you just want to stay on the property it is nice to have two very good restaurants to choose from.
Everything! The location was fantastic, the room great with a lovely view and ideal size. I would certainly go back again and recommend it to people going to Maui!
Old rooms, built in 80's, but resort is kept immaculately clean and groomed.
Time share salesmen were overbearing and caused us some grief. Prices were a joke and definitely not worth it.
I liked the amenities (extra cost though) and the decor of the hotel. Staffs were friendly. The hotel was very family oriented.
I didn't like how when I booked the hotel, I selected 2 bed (queen/full) and when I got to the hotel, I was offered King and a sofa bed. If that was the case, I would of selected another hotel.
Facility is undergoing improvements hopefully making this property a standout destination resort. Met Jason Abrams, food & bev resort manager. This guy is a plus for the Hyatt. Made us feel special. Go PSU!!
Rockier end of the beach.
It was great. I would stay again if i have a chance..
The gym, pool and spa.
The rooms could be a little more luxurious.
Very efficient staff and warm and welcoming !
Spa/work-out view of ocean. Food! Grounds very beautiful
ocean too rocky
Location. Pool. Nearby shopping, fast food, etc. Courteous, friendly staff. They were always helpful.
Beds. Mattress was almost on the floor. Self parking lot. Spaces were so narrow and distance between rows of cars was so short that parking was difficult. Card reader to access self parking lot seldom worked on the first try. Many others seemed to be having the same problem. Hotel finally issued a special card just for the parking lot. Hot tub was almost always an expanded kiddy-pool complete with inflatable crocodiles, etc.
1 Restaurants quality Son'z: very good food with excellent service. Umalu very poor food quality (from a bin?) with good service. Japengo: unhelpful, lazy stuff, no food experience. 2 Pool Area Much too small for the size of the hotel, mostly very crowded (chair by chair), lots of loud children. Cabanas (more privacy) are rentable. 3. Stuff On the surface nice and friendly. No will to fulfill individual requirements.
Loved the pool area, the gym was amazing - very big for a resort. The room was spacious too.
We felt the food & drinks were very expensive. Also the daily resort fee is a rip off as we didn't use the pool everyday as we had a car so explored the island yet we had to pay for the daUS we weren't even at the resort. I guess that's standard all over Hawaii.
come on...hidden fee such as parking and resort fee are ridiculous...so I book a stay and then upon getting there I pay a resort fee to use the amenities that I paid for...A SCAM TO GET MORE $
From the moment we checked into the hotel the staff was top notch! Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Our room had a partial view of the ocean and a beautiful view of the mountain. The pool was extremely fun and relaxing despite lots of sunbathers. The grounds were kept well manicured and the ocean and beaches were fabulous! Our room included the hotel breakfast buffet which was very well done. We also attended the Lua at the hotel which was a lot of fun too.
The only thing we noticed that really wasn't a big deal was that the housekeeping of certain things in the hotel was lacking. The big things were clean, but some things weren't Of course it is a tropical resort and different culture and area so it was easy to overlook.
1. The spacious lobby with beautiful plants and birds 2. Very friendly staff, especially the Filipinos 3. Value for money 4. Good deals for activities when you attend the vacation club presentation 5. Beachfront location
1. Beach right in front of the hotel is dangerous to swim . Hotel should have advised us which is the best and safest swimming area 2. Lounge chairs on the beach not free for hotel guests. Cabanas quite expensive .
We had dinner at the restaurant/bar by the pool, and the service was very poor. Our order was delivered piece meal, and parts - including a side dish and kids meal which were still not done by the time we finished our food... Also the overall food cost was too high and not a good value.
Just an average all inclusive hotel, way too expensive for what you get
The grounds are lovely, rooms have a nice lay out and are nice but need to be updated.
Pool area too crowded and not enough chairs. If you don't get there early you can't find a chair, and everyone is sitting on top of each other. Also did not like having to pay for parking.
I liked that our room was ready early and the staff was very friendly. I love that the staff (valet, waitress, and front desk) made me feel welcomed and were very personable. This was a last minute decision to stay there and I am very glad I did.
We booked a room that advised was going to be affected by construction. We were lucky and didn't experience any noise and had the post amazing view of the ocean. Such a great deal!
Food was expensive.
such a nice hotel, kids friendly and well faciliated
do not like the sales in the hotel
