The Hyatt is the first hotel along the beautiful Ka'anapali Beach. We walked barefoot in the fine sands from Canoe Beach to Black Rock (1 mile) and then returned by using the cement pathway, which allows a close look at the 7 luxury hotels (and their amenities). We loved the manicured and diverse grounds around the Hyatt- mountains, ocean, golf course, bird sanctuaries, pools, bridges, palm trees, and a bluff which overlooks sand, rocks and reef. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The Japengo restaurant, was where we enjoyed sushi and live music under the stars.
Upgraded to ocean view room! Great pool bar. Wonderful breakfast buffet.
No bad experiences.
Beautiful grounds, helpful front desk and valet, fun luau
The building itself is nice, pools nice. Lots of things on-site to do, including shopping and restaurants. Decent rooms, nothing special though.
Unimpressed with staff; not very friendly. I felt like for the price, I over-payed and didn't feel at all like I had gotten my money's worth. Parking wasn't super convenient, and I felt like I was annoying the staff whenever I asked questions. This was for our honeymoon so regretted having chosen this hotel. We also stayed in a similar establishment in Kauai and thankfully so - we know that there are much better places for less money elsewhere.
That the beach was not swimmable, and you had pay for snorkel equip and paddle boards etc. And also shuttle to the airport was extra. For $750/night, I expected WAY more.
I enjoyed how helpful the staff was. I went to Umalu each night to eat dinner and they anticipated my every move. The room was clean and housekeeping was on it.
Beautiful resort with lovely gardens. Loved everything. Room clean, spacious, great bed and pillows
Nothing. Would love to go back
The pool area was great
The hotel was a little older but in good Shape.
Clean staff good
Dining here is bad bad bad. Small restaurant onsite. Anything else walking > 30 minutes & Loooooong line. Be prepared to Starve here !!! Absolutely NO TV to watch. movie $20 each. Try to BORED your guests??
Scenic ocean views, great pool and good activities in the resort. Good location, we rented a jeep. Staff is amazingly friendly
Extremely expensive breakfast and starbucks, they gave us a room with two twin beds for our honeymoon
Room was expensive for what you got. Lighting was poor in bathroom and vanity area. Self parking area was very narrow for the extra cost you had to put out for parking.
Great workout facility, beautiful pools. The grounds are amazing! The Luau is wonderful if you choose to go to it...
The night we arrived, we had trouble finding the elevator to our room because the resort is so huge...
The location and facilities
maids were very courteous. rooms were ok. very comfortable.
When these places gives you a price it should include internet, parking and all the amenities, not add and add. The parking was so far away. The parking stalls were so small, I had to let my wife out before we pulled into the stall. My wife is very slim. Every thing there was priced for millionaires. 3.25$ for a coke.5.00 for a fruit cup. It goes and goes on. It would be nice to know all the taxes with the price per night. The Royal Lahiana light years ahead of this place. There were a lot of ants crawling every where.
Great fitness centre and pool bar
Service was EXTREMELY bad. Hotel staff and restaurant staff.Rooms are very outdated for the price and breakfast buffet very average. Pool is always packed and not enough lounges for the amount of people staying.
The staff was courteous and tried to be helpful. The facility is well laid out. The food was wonderful. Great workout area.
The assigned room did not have full ocean view as we paid for. Moved to a new room with live worms in the bathroom area. I was too tired to be asked for another room so cleaned the floor on hands and knees. It had not been cleaned for many days. Did not sleep well. In asking for a refund I was offered a massage instead. Since I had to tip I didn't save money but rather spent more. I only asked the staff to do what the CEO would do. The answer is to never refund money only offer amenities. Sad.
Everything was perfect. Clean, Nice n affordable. Even if Maui is the most beautiful island, you really don´t need to leave the Hyatt Resort!
The people who work there.
The hidden $25.00 a day for a gym, hot tub & other ammidaties we did not use. The website that shows a room with a couch & kitchenette that wasn't there.
Beautiful surrounding nature.
Tiny bathroom. Insufficient sound insulatin to corridor. Aggressive time share salespersons
The penguins, flamingos, ducks, swans walking around the resort!!! Swimming pools with waterfalls and slide Excellent service Concierge really helpful The view from the room to the ocean
Too expensive (400USD/night) Not recommended for smokers, like all Hawaii.. There is only one smoking spot inside the whole resort.
The pool and other facilities were nice, as well as the staff and restaurants.
The rooms are over priced for what you get. Room was too small for our family of four. For the amount we paid, we expected at least a separation between living room and sleep area. With everything cramped into one room, it meant that we were in bed by 7pm every night when the kids went to bed. Wouldn't book here again, as it's far from ideal for young families.
So pretty. Kids loved the penguins in the lobby
Pool area was great
A BIT PRICY FOOD.
Large ocean front room
Overcrowded hotel with incapable personnel. All restaurants were fully booked for New Year's Eve: we ended up with room service and ear plugs to cover the noise of the band at the Pool Party just below. The concierge had failed to answer promptly and accurately to my question 2 months before upon booking my room. Regarding cleanliness be prepared to have your meals surrounded by dozens of birds. Regarding the factory, as in low class hotels, jump at 7.00am to the poolside with your beach towel to book your sun bed for the day ! Of course the hotel rules say otherwise but no one cares... This hotel is totally overpriced and a major disappointment. Hotels in Wailea seemed to be a better option (and sheltered La Perouse Bay is closer for snorkelling...).
