Front desk personnel were very courteous & friendly. Everything in our rooms (3) was very clean & tidy - big plus! Pool & movie = "A+" by our 4 teens! :-)

Porter/baggage man not courteous; rushed us; acted as if we were wasting his time! Not convenient to get something out of auto when autos are parked so far away. No elevator; very inconvenient for those who have health limits. No back entrance - inconvenient.

    Comfortable beds

Would rather have spent the night at a less expensive, yet comfortable hotel. There's nothing special about this hotel.

    The location

I saw evidence of disrepair throughout the grounds and that is not what I've come to expect from a Hyatt Hotel. Our dinner was dreadful. That would explain why we were one of only two parties at the hotel restaurant.

    - room was very clean - pool area was awesome, kids loved the slide and spray area - bathroom was gorgeous

    - spray area and waterslide closed too early - extra fees are BS. Room is already pricey, then add parking fee and resort fee??! ugh. - pillows were too squishy

    Nice quiet location spacious room

Self parking long way from room.Difficult exit from parking due to poor room key auto exit. Many cars backed up awaiting exit gate to open. Expensive resort and parking fees

This property needs a major upgrade. The rooms remind me of a motel like structure. If the hotel were located in any city other then Newport Beach, I would not pay more than $120 per night

The thermostat control for AC in the room does not work. Called engineer, and he could not figure it out

Room 424 was so loud... Door had a huge gap and lights were so bright outside it was hard to sleep and being next door to an oxygen room or whatever it was... Super noisy.... I love this resort and will come back but I will not stay in this room as I didn't get much sleep at all...Noisy, noisy, noisy!!!!

Our bathroom door did not close all the way- designed that way! Room location - many stairs and no elevator.

Rooms are very big compare to other hotels. Lots of pools so you room to play. Kids pools area is nice,

Parking fee,Wi-Fi fee are very high I think they should just add it to the room fee.

The location is good, the grounds are 4 star. The golf course is beautiful. The pool w/slide is a bonus for families traveling with kids.

We checked in at 7:30 at night. The front desk person said there was the only 1 room "ready" that had a king bed like we requested. No worries, we were fine taking the room in back of the resort, by the pool & self-parking, but he did fail to mention this was a handicapped room. While spacious, it was also a bit funky & weird. For a Hyatt 4 star hotel, the luxury was clearly missing from this room. Hard scratchy towels, random sensor lights on the floors that went on every time you walked past the bedside tables. Kind of a mildewy smell. Plus, we were on the second floor & the only elevator to get you there from the parking lot was a service elevator. Dirty & not something guests should have to travel in. While I'm sure there are many wonderfully appointed rooms & locations at this hotel, we did not get to experience that during our stay.

The location was great. And the valet service was very good. The pool area is very nice too.

It took a very long time to check in. For a hotel of this size it seems like there should be more staff at reception. There were no elevators or ramps for rolling bags and a lot of steps to get around the property to our room. We ordered 2 iced teas at the pool and it took over 30 minutes for the one cocktail waitress to serve us and when she did, she did not think to bring sweeteners. That took an additional 10 minutes. The TV in our room was not working. We called the front desk at least 3 times over a 45 minute period, before the serviceman showed up. They did offer a free movie to us, but since we were trying to get to sleep early for a 5:30 AM marathon, it was too late to start a movie at that point.

This is a great hotel/resort for a business meeting or a break and at very affordable prices. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and pleasant and to make sure that a stay is as enjoyable as can be. We stayed two nights in a double queen room on the third floor with a balcony and a terrific view across to the ocean. The room was welcoming on arrival and well serviced during the stay. The efficiency of the bar staff, their abilities to mix cocktails or their advice on whiskies and bourbons.were welcome. The food was well presented and served and one can dine outside. There is a good variety of offerings at breakfast through to the late night snacks in the bar. If you are not there for the business or the booze, a romantic getaway or a family holiday there is a great deal else to do on the site and nearby. Room Tip: A higher room with a bay view is best for peace and quiet and wonderful views.

Although the hotel appears to have a strong commitment to the environment with wxcellent ratings, there is an exception of the gas fired fire pits and outdoor heaters.

Staff were friendly and helpful.Pool area including slide was really good for the kids, they enjoyed it very much.

WiFi coverage in the room was not good, needed to go to pool area or reception to get good coverage. Limited room service menu for family and kids. Food not suitable for kids.

Relaxation possibilities with 4 pools meaning never over crowded. Staff superb and a good location. Rooms modern and very clean.

The only bad point was a chicken wrap ordered in the restaurant which consisted of all the brown poor quality chicken meat some with skin on but we fed that back to the staff.
