web check in/out. Very friendly staff and bartenders!
Too expensive overnight valet - $42
The staff was very polite & accommodating, a couple of issues arose and they took care of them with no question.
We had to stay in an ADA handicap accessible room. The bathroom was not really ADA rated. The full tile floor was VERY dangerous to someone who had trouble walking. My wife almost fell 3 times. The shower also should be refigured, it does not make sense the way it is designed, it floods the bathroom the way it is now. I also think breakfast should be included in the room rate.
Rooms were clean and spacious. Restaurant food was good. Excellent location.
The person who answered the reservation line quoted one price for valet parking, Booking.com has another price listed, and I was charged a different price. When I inquired, I was initially dismissed, then told it was tax (which it's not). The indifferent, sometimes hostile customer service was the norm throughout my stay. Not a bad hotel, but there are many others close by and slightly cheaper. I travel often, and I won't choose this Hyatt again.
Staff staff and staff. Give please credit to their helpfulness and friendliness! Views; location great although a bit of a walk to the city center. Food; conference but yet the buffets were delicious, so were the break snacks. Gym; a good size gym well used by the guests.
If I need to find an item to list on the 'to-be-developed' it is the elevators. I was on an upper floor (21st) with magnificent views over Delaware River but I missed a couple of session begins in my conference because of waiting so long for the elevator. The high building needs an extra set of elevators, or the a Destination Control i.e. more intelligence to the elevators to optimize the travel between the highest and lowest floors between four cars. Get KONE Inc. Elevator people to the building please! :)
The walls were a bit thin. I woke up in the middle of the night to people walking and ralking rather loudly in the hallway. Never thought I'd be able to hear a perfect conversation happening outside my door while I layed in bed. The bed was uber comfortable though.
The staff, especially Chris Matlack, all genuinely helpful and engaging. The location, with views over both city and river, within a few minutes' walk of the centre.
The lack of a pavement ("sidewalk") from the front door to the main road, only a ten metre stretch but an oversight none the less.
Went away for my 25th Anniversary and the staff spoiled us silly. They made sure everything was great and did everything they could do to make us happy. Helped with cabs, hotel shuttle, extra towels....just great people and a beautiful hotel.
The bar restaurant for happy hour was the only thing that was very plain. No thrills on food and the tables were all chipped up. But in the big scheme, it really diddn't matter.
Location was great for walking around and having access to a rental car at the location
We arrived at 12:30am and had to walk to the local market to get a sandwich as they stopped room service at midnight. Room was not cleaned the following day as we checked in in the "morning". Room was dusty and we saw only one cleaning lady cleaning the entire floor. Overall would not recommend this hotel
The view from our room was amazing!! The room was quiet cozy and extremely comfortable. There were a number of attractions close by. This was a great choice
Accommodations were excellent. On the map the location looked a bit distant from the historic mile; but it was very well situated. Staff was very helpful helping to plan our tour.
The bus took us to restaurant and picked us up
Great location. Convienent. Most comfortable bed around.
Poorly run. If you have ever worked in the service industry it is so obvious how many flaws they have. The staff, not there fault, has been poorly trained. The management has no clue on what they are doing. I assumed hired outside the company. I could get in more detail. But it would go on for days. Go elsewhere for the money
Easy to get to visit the best tourist spots in Philly. Easy walk to a lot of good restaurants.
Wine list needs help. Suggest looking at 90+ rated wines the nearby Sheraton serves.
Location and view were great. Room was updated and clean. Room service was fast!
Bar was somewhat crowded around happy hour and we stood at the bar for 5-10 minutes with no service so we left! Room service stops at midnight...
Convenience to everything yet very comfortable and quiet when desired. Would have liked an early morning coffee bar... Even if you had to charge.
It was all good
Good location with the park just outside and walking distance to most
"King" bed was much closer to a queen, and not very comfortable. I also had to catch and correct several double billed items at checkout
Location Old City Wharf Facility - pool and exercise room Staff - very nice
3r night - People in the room next door were loud.
I enjoyed my time at the Hyatt. I was there in Philadelphia for my birthday and appreciated the view of the water and the city from my room. If we wanted to my friends and I could walk about twenty five minutes to center city or catch a cab for about nine dollars. If we wanted to stay in, there was the pool, restaurant, and fitness room to keep us occupied.
Well I definitely didn't like paying thirty dollars a night for parking. And charging twenty five dollars for microwave usage isn't flattering either.
The hotel was nice and clean.
My credit card was charged for various things and when I called it was very difficult to fix. The charges were not explained and I am still trying it get it off my card. The hotel stay was nice until this incident.
Convenient to local attractions
Could have used a jacuzzi tub & wished the room was more spacious
The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and comfy and the view was terrific.
parking was a bit pricey!
Concierge was great to help us get to Septa. Room was great, very clean and the view was great!
The area was great and we were very close to where we needed to be for a event...Great place
Although we did the parking and breakfast package the parking was expensive since we never used car
Good location....on river next to park and water activities...great workout room and indoor pool. Just a short cab ride from Society Hill restaurants and night spots. MLS soccer teams stay there. Excellent meeting facilities.
A long walk to downtown...if taking a cab make sure you know where you are going and the fastest way to get there...or else you may take a sightseeing tour around Billy Penn...
