It was additional withdraw from my bank account, the amount was even bigger that for the whole stay. It happened because of system error, but this explanation doesn't help. Not all staff is helpful. Some guys just say that they will fix but there were no actions. But there are some very helpful and friendly staff whom I asked to provide to me manager's contacts and Jennifer Post (Assistant Manager- Front Office) helped me responsibly and quickly, thank you a lot Jennifer!! So if you want your problem be solved be persistent with staff and ask directly for manager.
Design of the room is nice and stylish. But it may be inconvenience if you have different time regimes with whom you stay there, because a washbasin locates in the same room as the bed. Totally clean and tidy room with nice view. Cosmetics from C.O.Bigelow is fantastic! New and well equipped gym. Convenient location (close to subway, park, nice bars and restaurants), good area with a lot of cafes, shops and everything that tourist needs.
The design of the rooms and the location
Very quiet... Easy access to transportation...
towels could be fluffier - a little scratchy
the location is fantastic the facilities are great rooms a nice size and comfy beds very clean bathrooms great great dining room and bar
- 1 min walk to Union Square station which is a hub for all subways - silent, clean room with a really comfortable bed - fitness and complimentary wifi - friendly staff
Small room, small wardrobe, small sink
Outstanding Staff. I Flew in for a rock concert at nearby Webster Hall. Room was ready for early check in, entire staff made feel comfortable & welcome despite my scruffy appearance/attire. Room was great & exactly as described on the site. Highly recommend!!
This is an expensive hotel, and doesn't seem to offer the full service to match the price. I asked seven--yes, seven-- times to borrow a kettle, which never came. Room service stops in the evening, so if you come back after the theatre wanting a snack you have to go across the road to WLgreens for a sandwich. They charge for Wi-Fi, which is slow and intermittent. Wardrobe space is laughable; enough for one person staying one or two nights only. The bathroom, too, is tiny. This was in an Alcove Loft at a higher price, not a basic room.
The room was light with windows all around, and the bed was marvellously comfortable.
The Hyatt Union Square is the perfect NYC hotel. Walk out the door to great restaurants, shops, even Whole Foods and Trader Joes! Walking distance to The Public Theater.
Great room, clean, and bed was comfy; no view (or rather, we viewed a lot of fire escapes, but this was not a priority, therefore not a drawback). Staff was great about holding our bags before and after check-in's. Would definitely book again.
Lighting in room and bathroom was awful! Impossible to put on make up, for example.
Very friendly staff, super comfortable bed. Ideal location.
The shower faucet/ handle fall off. No shower cap/ minimal anemity, no info we can ask for additional anemity if needed be. Room cozy, yet very small though.
Apparently wi-fi is only free if you book with booking.com! Otherwise it's expensive. Only valet parking which is expensive although hotel directed us to parking garages nearby which were much cheaper..
Walking distance to Union Square subway, shops and great restaurants. Cool artsy hotel that makes great use of space. Rooms small but have everything you need and bathroom sparkles.
Room was small. We had requested no down bedding which was not what we found. We had to call housekeeping.
Very clean and contemporary.
Great hotel in NYC because it is new and clean Good for couples and single persons Staff efficient and friendly Great restaurant
Excellent staff , nothing too much trouble
For such a trendy hotel with young staff and in a youthful location, the staff was very sweet and accommodating to an elderly couple.
The hotel is relatively small and was nice to come back to after a day in the city. The staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable. I also enjoyed the adjoining restaurant, The Fourth; good food & drink.
Small room, but to be expected in NYC. Food was pricey, but again, to be expected for this quality in location.
Excellent location, just off union square. Very funky hotel with great food.great, large shower. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly waiter and bar staff.
Room heating was weak. I did not like how the lobby smells. There is a very strong scent that I would rather avoid.
Room service, breakfast quality, room design and fixtures quality. Excellent bed. Good location.
The main restaurant staff seemed indifferent and not particularly attentive. Service was very slow and the drinks were terrible. The bathroom doors were difficult to close and open.
The location. The housekeeping staff was prompt. The room was very quiet.
The staff was great.
Room was comfortable but awfully small -- needed more spacious closet/storage. Had to leave bags out lying on the floor.
Terrific choice -- restaurants & lounge very good; perfectly located.
Staff made me wait for 45 minutes while they tracked down my reservation when I arrived. I was not offered a drink or any type of additional comfort while I waited. It felt extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate for a hotel of the Hyatt's caliber. Very disappointing. A top notch hotel would have tried to make me comfortable while I waited.
Rooms were the most stylish and comfortable that I have stayed in recently -- exceptional, and I would highly recommend them Lobby felt fresh and modern Location was good but perhaps a bit too removed from the energy of Union Square
The hotel is in a great location close to our daughters who both live in Union Square. It is very conveniant to major name shops and a cineplex. It is just a short cab ride to the Village for great restaurants and great shopping in nearby Soho. The on site restaurant,Fourth, had excellent breakfasts during our fantastic 8 day stay. We will definitely choose this hotel again for future stays in NYC.
