Old hotel, furniture is to be replaced, rooms needs full renovation!

The lobby - real style. The staff - very friendly and good attention to detail. great location - 5 minutes from subway and 10 minutes from Times Square.

The hotel is an a brilliant location, the staff were excellent couldn't be more helpful. The room was a good size as so many in ny are on the small size. Breakfast was very good a huge selection to suit all.

The worst hotel service-wise I ever experienced in my life: nosy room (conditioner of the own room and if it is off, than neghbour ones is making huge noise). Stuff is very uhhelpful and unfrliendly. Broken safe in the room: was not repaired after my multi requests. Each question, which I had was taken as: "again she is with her demands". Bathroom: 10 minutes you have to wait until warm water starts in the tube (19-th century). For the rain I got broken umbrella (discovered it much later, when there was necessary to use umbrella). The same umbrella they tried to give next day (fortunately I knew it and checked). The most unfriendly person at the reception: Elizabeth. Hotel should definitely pay attention to the stuff.

The Intercontinental Barclay makes Motel 6 look good! Unfriendly staff with an attitude did not help to improve the experience in this run down, decrepit, old and totally overpriced place. Oh, did I mention that WiFi isn't free of charge? And simple items such as voltage adapters are sales items at this place? Charging $46 for breakfast is steep even for New York given what you get and where you have to eat (dark corner in the lobby area). Simple conclusion - never ever stay at this hotel!

Charging for WiFi - totally unjustified!

Location is perfect. Midtown and close proximity to attractions without the hustle and noise of Times Square. Historic property is beautiful and reminds one of a bygone era.

The restaurant is overpriced even by NYC standards and the service we had at breakfast was awful. Never got half of what we asked for and spent a $100 for 3 people. Eat elsewhere!

Very comfortable rooms (would loved to have taken the pillows home!!), staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Would have liked to had free wi fi in the room or at least in the lobby.

Position Staff were friendly

Toilet constantly ran - not Eco friendly. No fans in toilet. Can't change water pressure in shower. Double beds only - small double as well. Wifi should be free.

Breakfast was outstanding as was the staff.

Noise from plumbing made it very difficult to sleep. Every time someone flushed, it sounded like it was in our room

Elegant furnishings, good NYC location, helpful staff

The decor of this hotel is wonderful and the rooms were well appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel.

Barclays was elegant, comfortable, clean, maintains a friendly staff, is conveniently located and serves a great breakfast buffet.

Bathroom was small but worked OK for 3; placement of toilet paper holders on wall next to door is tight (jabs you on side). Needs re-positioning

The hotel is simply lovely and I had a great time there. It's close to the main attractions and all the staff is really heapful. I would definitely stay here again.

loved being able to walk everywhere and "come home" to a pleasant, centrally located hotel, that felt like a New York Hotel...

Location was just perfect. Dining room exceeded expectations. Lobby was beautiful to see and to sit in and enjoy.

Room was a little small. Bathroom was a little tight.

Fantastic location within walking distance of so many major sites, shopping and great little out of the way cafes. The room was small but very clean and we found the staff to be polite and courteous.

The walls seemed a bit thin. We could hear conversations in the room next to us. We unfortunately had two restless nights due to loud neighbors (barking dog one night and let's just say a very "friendly" couple the next). The floor didn't seem full so I was a little disappointed that they would put people in neighboring rooms when it didn't appear busy. I enjoyed the rest of the hotel but would consider staying elsewhere due to the thin walls (I like my sleep).
