Great spot for South Beach and Ocean Drive. Lovely bathroom (upgraded to suite) Staff were very friendly and helpful
The sofa bed was very uncomfortable I'm afraid!
Staff was great.
Being one street back from south beach and with the hotel behind the restaurant it was lovely and quiet at night. The hotel has a Tuscan charm about it and has all the facilities you could want.
Friendly staff. Valet is fast and courteous. They ask to be notified 20 minutes before you need your car so they can get it from the garage but they always seemed to be very fast
$10 for continental breakfast per person. Parking without valet is difficult and valet is an extra $25 total for your stay. Hotel front is tucked back between buildings so easy to miss if you don't know where to look.
Good location, few steps away from beach, restaurants, Art Deco buildings and nightlife. Good bathtube.
Recently renovated (2012) it shows already signs of deterioration in the rooms and scratches on walls not promptly repaired. Not very clean, particularly the windows ( don t open them) and filters of air conditioning. Frigobar empty. No elevator. Definitely not a luxurious room (despite this claims appears on the hotel brochure) nor boutique hotel. Friendly staff at reception but only 1 guy doing everything (including help with luggage) , it tooks us 25 minutes to check out
I liked the glass shower.
I wasn't a fan of the tile floors. Also the room needed some fresh paint on the walls. There were lots of scuff marks. The room itself was small and there was no view.
The front desk reception was pleasant.
The room was outdated and walls needed a touch of paint.
Great location, very comfortable room and very helpful staff.
Breakfast wasn't included in my rate.
The location was central to everything & I loved the secluded entrance. The bathroom was spectacular, especially the shower & the bed was very comfortable.
Location is great just two minutes from the beach and very convenient for fun and great shopping. Staff very polite. Good continental breakfast. I will stay there again for sure in the future.
Courteous staff, smaller and quieter than bigger hotels, a certain european atmosphere, nice italian restaurant in the building.
Hotel is squeezed between buildings, you look through the window and all you see is a wall. You have to carry your luggage up the stairs - that might be a problem to some guests. There is a big construction going on now on Collins Ave, right in front of the hotel. Access was difficult. There is dust and noise. A strong vibration and a humming sound woke me up at 4am! The hotel did not warn the guests (who could choose another hotel) about this, and worse - did not adjust the price. I think the hotel is better than the local average, specially for the courteous staff, but the ratio quality/price is high.
Everything, very comfortable, close to everything, parking across the street at 13th and Collins, easier to park yourself and walk over to Hotel. Felt like a Tuscany bed and breakfast place. Will definitely stay there again.
That we could not stay longer
Breakfast was really basic for 10$ by person
Loved the service staff, they were always really friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location. Just cross two streets and you're at the beach. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and I loved the rain head shower. I've stayed at the hotel next door (La Flora) and I prefer the Imapala because it's quieter and the entrance is quaint with a beautiful trellis lit with tiny white lights. The restaurant in the hotel (Spiga) has awesome food. It was my partners birthday, so we ordered room service and the food was excellent and arrived quickly.
This is no fault of the hotels, but I wouldn't recommend using the valet parking service. I paid $50 for two nights of valet and had to wait close to two hours to get my car. There's road construction going on and there was no valet attendant when we needed to get our car at 11 am. I'd recommend circling until you find a spot in the lot that's right next to the La Flora hotel and just going back out every 8 - 9 hours to fill the meter. It's about the same price and you don't have to wait for your car.
Location, staff, size of suit, breakfast facility
worn down, old worn furiture, dirty old carpet in bed room, dark room, no outdoor facility linked to room, high cost ås compard to standard of the facility
Litlle and nice hotel without noisy crowd
Breakfast shoud be much better
Location-near to shopping, South Beach, restaurants but in a quiet area. Jerry's Famous Diner 3 blocks up was fantastic-great food reasonable cost not like on the beachfront. Good room size. A/C worked well. Bathroom roomy and clean. Staff very helpful.
No plain kettle to boil water for tea. Had coffee maker but completely unsuitable for tea drinkers. Marked Facilities as fair due to this but all other facilities good
Excellent staff and nice decor
Can be noisy as it is so central
Room and bathroom were nice size, very clean.Bed and pillows very comfortable.Staff extremely helpful with advice and nothing too much trouble.Location was excellent, near beach, shops and restaurants.Excellent value for what we paid as booked early.
Our room was 102 and we found it quite noisy as it was next to a store cupboard and what looked like a staff stairway. These seemed to be used at all hours.
The room we stayed in was particularly spacious and had everything you needed. The location was excellent.
Parking was an issue here both for ourselves on motorcycles but also the Valet parking for other guests didnt seem to run too smoothly either.
I booked this for my brother and sister-in-law and since there return they have raved about the hotel, the location, the staff. It was there first time in Miami and thanks to the hotel and staff I'm sure they will return. Thank you so much as having booked over the internet I was abit worried but no need it was fabulous.
We loved the staff. They were fantastic and could not do enough for us. We loved our room. 2 years ago we spent 3 weeks travelling around Italy. Every time we walked into our room at the Impala it felt like being in Italy. We will return to the Impala when we return to the Miami Beach area again.
Did not have bottled water or other beverages available for purchase on site.
The initial room we were assigned did not look like any of the pictures on the hotel's website. When we expressed our disappointment to the front desk, we were reassigned to another room that was exactly what we were expecting. Staff was very friendly and helpful in all things. Good continental breakfast (not included in room rate). The optional parking service worked very well. Our car came quickly every time we needed to use it. Hotel has a nice European ambiance.
