Price and close to work

Blood stain on sheets. DVD player doesn't work and not the first time. On other visits it didn't work. Had to call to get another from the office and they take a long time to get one to us or they want us to come get it. Not friendly staff. Towels not clean enough.

We felt like we are in Alcatraz prison, so many locks around everything, staff treat you like a criminal, they don't even open the frontal door for you to go in and say you have reservation, We did not like it at all, We will never go back ever!!!!!

The location of Imperial Inn Motel, Oakland was what our family liked the most, just one block from BART, a stones throw from San Francisco, a few blocks from downtown and Lake Merrit if you enjoy walking. Among all the motels on the W.Macarthur Blvd. and Telegraph strip, Imperial Inn Motel was by far the cleanest. Good water pressure from the faucet and shower head. That was important to me, especially staying in a room on the third floor.

I did not like the fact you could not get a room without booking a reservation in advance. Whereas before you can get a room as a walkin as long as there was a vacancy available, even on the busy days of the week.

I really liked that it was a short walk to the MacArthur BART station. The management was very responsive. The parking was free and well lit. There is a charming bagel shop around the corner. The value for the San Francisco area is super. I would definitely stay there again.

I wouldn't walk the neighborhood alone at night, as a single female. There are not a lot of shops in the immediate vicinity but we stayed there to have ready access to the BART, which gave us everything we wanted/ needed.

i loved how clean the room was. completely clean beding and was very clean and the room was big it wasn't loud or nosiy.

It was very convenient.

i noticed some cigarette burns on my duvet and toilet seat.

The bath mat was made of paper and the blanket had holes.

The price was reasonable, the decor was nice, at least in the room we stayed in.

We notice makeup stains and tears on the pillow cases. The seat on the toliet was lop-sided and complimentary shampoo was already used.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms seemed perfectly adequate. As far as I'm concerned, the location was great; I know some people have complained in the previous reviews about the neighborhood, but I have honestly stayed in much worse, so I have absolutely no complaints there.

I don't really have any complaints other then that when we first checked in the room smelled a bit like bleach, but hey, at least that gives you the idea that it was recently cleaned.

I think the price is ok and close to San Francsico.

We have 4 person and book two rooms,we also think the bed is dirty,and restroom is already dirty.

Rooms were nasty and dirty; the bathrooms were atrocious. The maids threw the bedspreads on the outdoor walkway when "cleaning" the rooms then put them back on the beds. One bar of soap per visit apparently and only one paper bath mat. Towels were tiny and thin and they never gave us enough -- always had to go down and ask. Tv had no volume -- except randomly; air conditioning was equally random. Neighborhood was very sketchy. I'm shocked that it got as high a score as it did -- I love Booking.com and its recommendations, but this one was waaaaaay off the mark.

It is close to the MacArthur BART station so it's easy to reach SF. It can be useful if you travel on a budget and if you want to save some money. It's cheaper than average SF hotels.

Facilities are very basic and cleanness is just sufficient. The area around MacArthour is quite isolated and not the best during the night.

I didn't like the service the front service gives they are rude. The room was not clean, the bed sheets were dirty the whole bed was full of hair, same as the shower, I ask for t he sheets to be change they gave an attitude...they need to change their beds everytime a customer checks out and really clean their rooms,. My family was really disappoint because the hotel was on a good location and we read reviews before choosing this hotel and it was not nothing like the reviews said on the cleanness.

The staff were very nice. The sheets were clean. The location was exactly where we needed. We were able to have our rooms close together on the main level, which we preferred.

Old, yet clean, rooms. Tiny bathroom.

Good value. Nice courtyard with fountain and well-tended flowers. Clean rooms, a little past their prime, but that's to be expected. Well kept up budget motel overall. Nice and friendly, helpful staff.

Not a terrific surrounding area, but the parking lot and the motel itself seemed fairly safe. There were security cameras watching everything, so that was comforting.

Excellent service, very friendly and kind hosts. Not too expensive. I stayed there for a total of two months.

Reasonable price, close to public transportation (BART) to SF.

The neighborhood didn't feel too safe.
