The Front Desk had a computer mix-up at check-in, with the front desk giving keys to the same room for 3 different couples; fortunately we arrived 3rd, to find the 2nd couple walking in on the 1st couple. The biggest thing that needs to be improved though is the shower head...the water pressure in our room was basically a trickle. Not sure if this was some sort of low-flow thing, but the toilet and sink seemed normal, so my sense was that it was just a cheap shower head; that huge shower would be awesome with a rain shower head. Finally, the price seemed a bit steep when compared to other boutique hotels we've enjoyed, especially considering it was off-season. The parking situation is pretty tight, but not a show-stopper.
Hotel Indigo is very modern, and extremely clean. The location in Downtown Asheville is perfect. Everything has a pretty cool vibe, from the lobby to the room! It definitely has all the elements of a top flight boutique hotel...it just needs a little more attention to details from the staff (see our check-in experience next) to the facilities folks (upgrade the shower heads). That said, I would definitely consider staying there again, but the price point would probably have to be a bit more reasonable. Hotel Indigo features an excellent restaurant for a relatively healthy la cart breakfast, which is extremely well priced.
