Location Staff Size of room
The staff was one of the best things about the hotel. They would wave and smile every time they saw us coming. I'm so glad that they had a complimentary shuttle that would take you anywhere within a 3mile radius. The hotel itself was like staying in a beach resort instead of downtown dallas. It was a lovely hotel and I wouldn't mind going back again.
The A/C was motion activated so at night it will turn off and you will burn up. Then when it is on you will freeze. I came back from my trip with a cold. The elevators ran slow at times. Only 2 of the 3 would work at a time. Plus they were small and cramped if a lot of people got in at one time.
Young people yelling in the middle of the night
Loved the location. Great price.
Didn't like the room. If the tv was on the opposite side of the wall. It would have been a better stay. Was staring at a wall for our view and had glare in tv. *512*
Good location on main, close to dart station. Clean and a really nice facility
Wifi was pretty much non existent
Good downtown location, close to dart transport stations and points of interest. Liked the view from room High mattress on bed and 4 pillows, made sleeping very pleasant. Love the colour scheme in the hotel and the rooms - blue and yellow - it's calm and pleasant, welcoming. Breakfast area is equally enjoyable, good variety of choices for breakfast. The hotel employs older staff - I always like places that do this, that don't just have young people on their staff Has businesspeople staying there, which points to it being a good hotel overall.
1)Check-in and check-out is slow because front desk is staffed by one person only at most times ( hotel management should change their policy about this ) 2)Once we'd checked out the porter/shuttle driver who had been friendly and helpful was dis-interested, made himself scarce, didn't help, and "didn't want to know". 3)Worst of all was the ill-tempered, yelling, belligerent "valet"(outside on sidewalk)/shuttle driver who abused us AND the front desk staff when we were leaving - he left such a bad impression with his behaviour THAT IT RUINED THE FEEL OF THE STAY AT THIS HOTEL. 4) Most of the house staff - maid, cleaning,etc- did not speak English - very difficult. 5) Couldn't lock the room door from the inside. This because the sign for how to lock the door from inside is incorrect - and hotel/security staff KNOW that the sign is incorrect. Why hasn't this been fixed?
This place was wonderful. Cute set up in the rooms & very comfortable. AXC was awesome
The location and the complimentary shuttle was great.
The elevators were under renovation during my visit which caused delays but this was for a certain period only.

Very helpful and friendly staff
The wifi would only work on one device at a time
location and deco
cordiality of rfront desk attendant
Love the location. We were downtown within a few miles of several areas we wanted to visit. Walking distance to Deep Ellum and very short drive to the West End, the Perot museum and the Dallas World Aquarium. I liked the room decor; it was cheerful and cozy (not too bright like others have complained). The hotel itself had charm too, being an older hotel that's been updated on the inside, it felt like a boutique hotel I might find in New York or San Francisco. The room also came with a fridge and microwave. Overall, good amenities and location for the price, since most hotels downtown were $50-$100 more a night.
The facilities have some issues. When we first arrived, my husband found our toilet was clogged, so we had to call for someone to come unclog it. I will say the handyman was very prompt and courteous. However, even after he spent 15 minutes working on it, the toilet continued to drain slowly the whole time we were there. The day we checked out, it clogged up completely again and wouldn't drain, from just a little bit of toilet paper. The doors were also very thin and the locks were questionable. However, scariest of all were the elevators. Every time we got on them, I was terrified we would get trapped, based on all the creaks and moans. In the hotel's defense, they are in the process of replacing the elevators, which meant only one was in service while we were there (the scary one), but they are in the process of replacing them all and said it would be done within the next month (August).
no free parking, no swimming pool, no free breakfast, room doors don't seem secure. you need to start including that in your ads, especially for people with kids. I can to spend time with kiids and grandkids and was so disappointed. I would hve moved had I not gone through booking.com.
Excellent hotel in downtown, friendly staff, very laid back feel to the hotel. In town for one night, for music in Deep Ellum, short 10min walk to venues/bars. Definitely worth paying a little for the breakfast, the in house restaurant was delicious!
Wifi didn't work very well, just turned it off and fast connection on my providers network. One elevator was down, out of the two, but it was being upgraded? Overall didn't impact us much.
I thought the staff were just fabulous. From the front desk assistance to the restaurant staff everyone was welcoming and helpful. Hotel Indigo has a boutique hotel atmosphere of welcome and warmth.
The staff was AWESOME
The staff were all very friendly and service oriented at all touchpoints. The hotel while older is very clean and thoughtfully, freshly designed. I really enjoyed my stay.
Everything was great. Great breakfast very friendly personal. We enjoy and everything was very clean. Its right in de middle of Dallas. Good parking availability. We will come back.
Nothing great hotel very good price !!!
Good place, good price and if you want go like me to the electronic Night clubs.... This is the place, clean, good location!!!!
The way it looked.
The receptionist in the front had an attitude when we were checking in, she was rude and inconsiderate the whole time we were checking in. Never coming back to this hotel
I was charged $100.00 more a night than my original booking price because of the convention I was in town for. I ended up checking out after 1 night and went to the Hyatt Regency which was cheaper than the Indigo
The staff were very friendly and breakfast, wifi and location were also great.
I didn't like being in an adjoining room as both nights the people were very loud and one even had a dog (very unfair on the person next door) It also seemed that everyone was loud on my floor after 11pm. So not much sleep for me on my last night.
It was a really good stay with very cozy rooms.
Poor coordination among doormen while they were calling out a taxi. We got ripped off twice.
It was very quiet on the 14th floor. The bar and restaurant were great. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Extra extra extra clean. Room was spotless. I will b there often.
Not one thing!
Very nice Hotel considering how old it is. The shuttle was great just wished it ran a little later then 10:00pm. Great location for sites and concerts at the Gexa Energy Pavilion.
When the AC came on it rattled the windows and made a horrible whistling sound when it cut off until it came on again. The walls or very thin, heard alarm going off for 30 minutes in room beside us. Needless to say only slept 30 minutes all night. If ever stay there again will definitely bring ear plugs.
