The location is good if you come to Chelsea for fashion work, etc. The staff was professional even though they had problems processing my Europe-issued credit card. Valet parking is OK as well, you can call the reception ahead from the city and they bring up the car within 10-20 minutes. The room is very well designed, that's definitely worth a mention -- lamps, chair, tables to work from, all well suited. The price, given last-minute booking, and NYC scale, was fair. I'd stay again if the price makes sense. NB: around the corner you have Whole Foods Market open until 11pm; and, best place for breakfast is Madeleine Patisserie, Paris-quality small French cafe on 23rd street. The gym looked unattractive. The lobby toilets being located on lower level was not very convenient and the cleanliness of these was a bit neglected. But all in all, this is a nice hotel without anything that would make my stay uncomfortable. If I could have the same hotel in Paris, I would be very happy, especially since the quality of the in-room arrangement is so excellent. |

Staff was friendly and courteous. Very professional. The room was as it appeared on the web site. A bit small, but comfortable and very clean. The food was outstanding. Everything we had was delicious, right down to the popcorn in truffle oil. Certainly not over priced either. Gourmet breakfast buffet as well. |
