Wi-Fi was sketchy at times. Bottom floor room was loud (thin ceiling, and to near lobby). About a20 minute walk from downtown main river walk (which was fine for us, but if you don't like top walk, catch a river taxi). Staff made up for any negatives xxx as they were so willing so solve any problems.
The hotel interior is very modem and clean. The rooms are huge with high ceilings. It's out of the way but near everything. But the staff.... Ooohhh the staff. Originally we had a ground floor room, which was gorgeous, but right of the lobby, so it was loud. I went to the front desk and mentioned it, and had a key to a top floor room within seconds. The young lady was so polite and eager to accommodate! The bartender knew every nook of nightlife, and gave me a list of venues with live music when I asked. I never felt like a bother to any of these people. But the real kicker was this: we decided to take a cab to listen to some live jazz. I asked the front desk for the number to a cab company. The young lady said she'd be happy to call for me, which she did promptly. The cab company told her out would be about 10 mins. After about 10 minutes, there was a shift change and the young lady left out the front door. Then I saw a bishop go outside. Then, the new clerk also went outside, leaving another gentleman making the front desk. After 5 minutes, we decided top sit outside to wait for the cab, as it was beautiful. We got outside to find the first young lady motioning to us that our can was here.i thought she had gone home. Then I realized, when our cab hadn't arrived on the dot as promised, all 3 of those staff members, the two clerks and the security guy, went out to the curb and spent 5 minutes hailing a cab for us! They went out of their way to ensure we had convenience. It was just outstanding, aware, proactive service.
