Being close to the ferry. Being right at Jack London Square
Quiet, No smoking, Choices to eat out, Waterfront, Talking with local individuals.
Walking through some of the groups hanging out on the streets - felt like I should keep my back to the wall.
Proximity to restaurants and ferry services. Staff were friendly and helpful.
No fridge in room. Train noise.
Hotel was fine, good restaurant next door. Good safe parking although you pay for it.
It was further from SFO than we thought but able to use ferry or underground to get there.
Nice staff comfy bed
Thin walls could hear everything they them
Buttercup diner was good
The room is big and the beds are confortable.
My room was switch very quickly when I complained of bugs in my room. The staff was on point. The price was very reasonable, compared to other hotels. The Buttercup restaurant next to hotel awesome. In general nice area and lots of restaurants.
Rooms are very small,to much furniture for rooms that size. You constantly hear other guest walking past the room.
This was an absolute terrible stay. We ended up having to switch to another hotel because of the condition of the room. This hotel needs an upgrade desperately!! The toilet sit was to small for the toilet, the mattresses for extremely sunken in, and when we turned on the shower water came out of the faucet and shower at the same time. Whoever owns this hotel should be ashamed of even having it available for booking. Disgrace!!!!
room was clean, comfortable, outdoor pool area, friendly and helpful staff
It is close to several really good restaurants and things to do--an excellent farmers' market on Sunday, the wharf, and a movie theater. In spite of being a couple of blocks from the train tracks, the room was quiet. Must have had great sound proofing! The staff was friendly.
The shower was pitiful. The water pressure was almost non-existent and the temperature fluctuated from lukewarm to scalding with no warning. The internet was slow and very spotty. Also, there are way too few electrical outlets. We had to crawl under the desk to plug in the phone recharger. The hotel is obviously an old motel that has been renovated. There is no lobby (just a place to checkin) and the rooms were decorated similarly to most middle range motel chains.
Good quality hotel. Nice and helpful personnel. Free parking.
WIFI of low quality No breakfast. You can have an excellent breakfast at the nearby Buttercup Diner but at additional cost
Friendly staff Access to ferry Access to restaurant Convenient parking
The staff, cleanliness, the shower, the Buttercup restaurant next door and the easy access to Amtrak.
The bed was very soft and hurt my back.
Comfy bed, quiet
$15 parking fee
comfy beds, good pillows good size TV screen close to transport, ferries, trains, buses
low shower height
- staff were responsive and as a traveller from overseas that is important to me - the desk - good working height for computer related work, the chair height is adjustable YEAH
shower heights - low for a 6 foot tall person!!
great location and close to good restaurants--nice running area for an early morning run--hotel was quiet, and therefore, restful
the disconnect in the buildings--how I had to take one elevator down and then walk across and take another to get to the front desk--that was my only complaint
The location was great. Walking distance to eateries and Jack London Square. Easy access to freeway.
Great location, close to lots of restaurants and the Square. Not far of a walk to the 12th street Metro/Bart. Also nice place to stay for taking the train out of Oakland ($5 taxi). It has the feel of a motel in the middle of the city. The pool area is very large and open. The rooms and basic and in good condition with maintenance and cleaning. I would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area. The noise that others reported we didn't find to be a problem - we noticed the train sounds but it wasn't too loud. The restaurant immediately next door had a good variety.
A small item - not to make you want to stay here or not..... But I hate when they put a small bottle of water in your room and want you to pay $2,75 to drink it. There was a drink machine down the hall. I just find it annoying and takes up space and I feel like I'm trying to be tricked into the added cost. (especially since the tap water wasn't the best). Maybe it's a big money maker but I certainly don't think outweigh the impression it gives.
We arrived late by train and took ferry to SF next morning, staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms recently refurbished, lobby could use some sprucing up as it does not give good first impression. Adjacent Buttercup restaurant excellent.
Location was central to my excursion that day. Staff very friendly. Room very clean with a comfortable king bed.
No toothpaste available. Forgot mine at home
Nice pool, quiet, room had everything I needed.
Even, though, we had confirmation of our booking 10 days in advance of our stay at our arrival there was no reservation of a room.
close to the venue of my event
I cannot believe that I paid more for a Thursday night than I would have for a 5 star in Vegas. Staff was rude upon arrival. I will not be using this service or Inn again as I am highly disappointed. For the short amount of time there this was NO bargain!
