Service was friendly and helpful. Good size room, comfortable bed, charming character hotel. Breakfast which was complementary was simple and healthy. Short walk to bus, and bars.
Noisy and to much light coming in the window, noisy aircon.
Though a little dated, our room was comfortable and clean. The property is close to public transit and in a user-friendly neighbourhood.
The coffee at breakfast was a little weak.
The value is great compared to the service and location. I would stay there again.
Nice clean place, good neighborhood comfortable
Friendly staff, convenient, near to shops
Staff Professionalism of staff Cleaning ladies/ very helpful with extra blankets. Expensive parking Cleanliness of room.
Uncomfortable bed Needs grab bar in bath/shower. On access to coffee maker all day We did get parking on premises/ convenient but very expensive.
This place is a joke. There were 4 groups staying in the hotel. The three others paid way less than we did and had animals with them. The room was so small we had to take turns standing up! The hot water dribbled out of the faucet. No hair dryer! The floor had not been vaccuumed and we could sit straight on the toilet. The bathroom door didn't open fully had to squeeze into the bathroom.
Everything! The rug had boards with nails sticking up through it. The room was so small you took turns standing up. Felt like I was in a 1920's old house that was made for midgets! No hot water. And no electrical plugs available without unplugging the air conditioner
My job as a flight attendant requires me to stay at a plethora of hotels. And they all seem the same to me. They try to be the most glamorous, or the most modern. If i had to choose to stay at a big name hotel or here, I'd choose this place again. They were unique. It felt like they had a story. This hotel reminded me of an apartment walking through the hall, and I really liked that because it was different. Employees were extremely friendly. Asked for restaurant recommendations and they gave us tons of options as well as directions. Lots of things to do walking distance wise. Had your average continental breakfast (cereal, bagels, juice, etc). Free breakfast is always a plus! Room was extremely clean. Had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Cable and wifi available. I had a great experience!
Elevator fits only about four people but didn't bother me, I used the stairs.
Location Cost vs benefit Quality of the breakfast Service Hospitality
noisy aircon, no hair drier, no ironing board.
Able to walk to Wrigley Very nice and helpful staff
Parking was over a block away
The breakfast very good
Nothing, the room was very bad, the bed Nothing conform, bathroom very gross and small with the tile broken I will never back
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I also thought the continental breakfast was good with plenty of items to choose from. The location was fantastic and I will definitely return to this hotel
We reserved a room for 3 people: 2 adults and a child (16 years old). After the reservation was approved I noticed that the additional bed had to be requested and I did it. When we arrived at the hotel they told us that they weren't able to add a bed so we, 3 people, slept in a double room packed together.
Easy walk to Wrigley Field, we were from out of town. Close to business and restaurants.
No small frige in room.
The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. I walked to Wrigley field. I'd stay here again.
The place is old and could use a little facelift. The door to the bathroom hit the toilet could not be opened all the way.
The area was great. Plenty of food and beverage establishments to visit.
The parking was inconvenient for those who stay more than one night. Having to move a vehicle to renew the parking permit is an interruption to the stay.
Great location. Vibrant, active, safe neighbourhood. Pretty clean. Nice, friendly staff. Affordable parking with two options. $15 for offsite but in a very safe lot. $30 on-site. Able to park and unload on-site without any issues. TV, WiFi was really good.
Bed was a little uncomfortable. Breakfast adequate but could be improved.
Location is excellent!
Bedside lamp not working, shade coming apart. Papers and plastic cover for ice bucket left behind bedside table on the floor. Price was outrageous for the accomodations.
The location of this hotel is one of the major reasons we stay here. We can walk to Wrigley. There are several very nice restaurants in the neighborhoods.
While we know this is an older property, some of the items were very worn in our room. The armchair was dirty and torn. The AC needed to be turned very low just to keep the room comfortable. The rest of the room was fine.
The old style of the room/hotel... reminded me of the show Boardwalk Empire... The breakfast was very good. The desk staff was very friendly, pleasant & helpful as well....overall a very nice hotel.... only 1.2 miles away from Wrigley Field so we were able to walk from the hotel to the ballpark.
The tub didn't have have a shower mat, bottom of tub was a little grubby looking, it really needed that shower mat. Thank goodness I didn't drive....I've never heard of having to pay to park at someplace I was staying at, holy smoke, I'm already paying for the room & you want to charge me to park too!??!
Staff was great, very Convienient location
Rooms could be nicer, more updated for the high price to stay there...
Location and price
Noise. Bed Space availability
