The location and amenities met my needs perfectly.
As my room was situated directly off the stairwell, it was difficult to sleep while people opened and closed the stairwell doors. This was mainly in the early morning, but as I'd had a late night, I would've liked to sleep in for the rate I paid to stay there.
I liked the Parking which was convenient.
I thought my room was stark, not clean and the bed was too soft. I do not plan to stay at your hotel again.
Location, convenience, efficient staff, clean room
Room key takes some jiggling to get right, dim lighting (adds to charm??), small room, barely any usable outlets, WiFi didn't work in our room
Location was the best part of this hotel experience. I am not sure how it is a 2 star facility.
The walls are bubbling under the wallpaper. Room smells old and musty. Bathroom tiles are coming off of the wall. There are no outlets to pull in anything other than a sad extension cord with a power strip. The smoke detector hung down off the ceiling as it wasn't connected anymore.....sad sad sad.
love the old but updated rooms
The hotel is older than any other place we have ever stayed at-but we loved it. The staff was friendly-helpful and really cared about our comfort. It is close to a lot of restaurants and bus lines-we look forward to returning.
The surroundings are good, many restaurants nearby. the staff is very friendly and helpful, especially at the checkin desk.
The bathroom in the room is very very old. The maid was about to step in my room in the morning while I was in intimate moments, even if I hanged the board "do not disturb please" on the door.. And I was so pissed that I checked out 2 hours before the deadline. The price is too high compared to other solutions I got in downtown.
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed 5 blocks from railway station to downtown. Good shower Very fast free WiFi
Feeble hot water supply in washbasin. Only a cold buffet with polystyrene/plastic utensils Iron and board on request only.
The location was convenient for my needs and parking was easy.
For $155 a night I felt you should have available an iron, ironing board, hair dryer and refrigerator in your room. I knew the room was going to be small but never expected the size of a sardine can. I have stayed at another hotel in the area for less money and it had all the ameneties I mentioned. It was full that is why we stayed at the Inn.
Service was friendly and helpful. Good size room, comfortable bed, charming character hotel. Breakfast which was complementary was simple and healthy. Short walk to bus, and bars.
Noisy and to much light coming in the window, noisy aircon.
Though a little dated, our room was comfortable and clean. The property is close to public transit and in a user-friendly neighbourhood.
The coffee at breakfast was a little weak.
The value is great compared to the service and location. I would stay there again.
Excellent location, with reasonable rates for Chicago. Parking is an addition $30 per day which is not so bad for Chicago. On Michigan Ave you pay around $60. Not a fancy place, but if you are looking for a place to sleep and relax a bit and cheap, this is a good one.
Wi-Fi didn't work at the room like advertised. It did work at the lobby and there was a workstation at the lobby you can use. Old but decent rooms.
Nice clean place, good neighborhood comfortable
Friendly staff, convenient, near to shops
Staff Professionalism of staff Cleaning ladies/ very helpful with extra blankets. Expensive parking Cleanliness of room.
Uncomfortable bed Needs grab bar in bath/shower. On access to coffee maker all day We did get parking on premises/ convenient but very expensive.
This place is a joke. There were 4 groups staying in the hotel. The three others paid way less than we did and had animals with them. The room was so small we had to take turns standing up! The hot water dribbled out of the faucet. No hair dryer! The floor had not been vaccuumed and we could sit straight on the toilet. The bathroom door didn't open fully had to squeeze into the bathroom.
Everything! The rug had boards with nails sticking up through it. The room was so small you took turns standing up. Felt like I was in a 1920's old house that was made for midgets! No hot water. And no electrical plugs available without unplugging the air conditioner
My job as a flight attendant requires me to stay at a plethora of hotels. And they all seem the same to me. They try to be the most glamorous, or the most modern. If i had to choose to stay at a big name hotel or here, I'd choose this place again. They were unique. It felt like they had a story. This hotel reminded me of an apartment walking through the hall, and I really liked that because it was different. Employees were extremely friendly. Asked for restaurant recommendations and they gave us tons of options as well as directions. Lots of things to do walking distance wise. Had your average continental breakfast (cereal, bagels, juice, etc). Free breakfast is always a plus! Room was extremely clean. Had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Cable and wifi available. I had a great experience!
Elevator fits only about four people but didn't bother me, I used the stairs.
Location Cost vs benefit Quality of the breakfast Service Hospitality
noisy aircon, no hair drier, no ironing board.

Parking was over a block away
The breakfast very good
Nothing, the room was very bad, the bed Nothing conform, bathroom very gross and small with the tile broken I will never back
