This place is REALLY special - great attention to detail and really high quality happy hour wine/cheese and home made breakfast. If you fancy a quiet and luxurious night in outside of LA's madness, it's a great choice.
We had problems with the plumbing in our bathroom & ultimately had to use the WC in an empty guest room & it really put a downer on our otherwise beautiful room. By far the most expensive place we stayed in California but also most unique.
If you need a hotel near the airport, this is great. Excellent breakfast and wine and cheese at 5:00 pm. plus free bikes to ride along the nearby beach.
location and general comfort (big rooms and not too many of them)
Noisy A/C; looking over the Szechuan restaurant next door; breakfast adequate but not more; baked goods need a lighter touch!
Peaceful and relaxing. Very nice and friendly staff. Lovely rooms. Excelent homemade breakfast. Near Venice. I will repeat.
The staff were the best!! They went out of there way for us every day we were there. The food was great and the rooms lovely, but the standout here are the people.
Very good homemade produce and attentive staff. Enjoyed the relaxing happy hour
We loved every minute of our stay. After the first night we booked another night in the end of our trip just because we loved it there. Great and helpful staff, nice breakfast and room. A extra plus is for the wine, cheese and crackera that is offered in the afternoon for free.
There was nothing we did not like.
stuffs are very friendly. The room's deco are so nice, just like home! the location is near to the beach, you can ride bike alone the beach in the morning, so relax!
little bit pricy
Quality for price Location
No refrigerator in rooms
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. This is first class accommodation and service.
Staff was so friendly and accommodating! The building was beautifully decorated and so cozy!
Very nice hotel close to Venice beach. Free parking is a great plus in LA
A bit to far away from the Central LA ( Beverly Hills etc.) but if do not miss those places - it is very good choice.
My husband and myself stayed here while doing a road trip from LA to Seattle and it was amazing! We are so glad that we found this place as everything was really wonderful, from the staff to the rooms. We have raved about it since coming home!
The staff and the place. The area is going to be reaaly trendy with all those restaurants and on. However it's not just a bit noisy. Just few blocks to the beach that is not that crowdy like others. Yo can take bicycles for free.
I guess it's a bit pricey
Fantastic place with ultra friendly and helpful staff. The rooms (as we stayed at the beginning of our road trip honeymoon and just had to come back for the last few days!) were huge, bright and luxurious. Have already recommended to friends and family to come stay. So peaceful and relaxing with everything you could need.
The staff are helpful, conscientious people and our charming room was a welcome respite from busy LA . This place is a lovely, quirky anomaly in the L A accommodation scene. We were delighted with the breakfast too. You do need a car to stay here.
Didn't expect the breakfast to be so good. Loved it as well as the muffins left out for all the evening before. My wife said those were the best she ever tasted.
Nothing except maybe be sure people know to contact you if they are arriving late. Otherwise they would not have the code to the gate I believe. We had no problems. Wonderful stay.
staffs are very friendly. they upgraded our room knowing we are on honeymoon. a small sparkling wine and some chocolate displayed on the table when we arrived. very considerate. love the toiletry product, better than 5 stars hotel. dining room for breakfast is fab! and the homemade breakfast is ace as well.
a bit expensive for B&B . no laundry room available. and the view is not very nice with a big wildness which looks like an abandon field.
Just LOVED it! The Staff were awesome. The Chocolate Chip Cookies were Delicious. The Availability of Free bikes to was Terrific. We loved our long bike ride on the Beach. The Experience was AWESOME - would come back anytime!!
The Sunday morning Breakfast soufflé was marginal - but there were other food selections.
I loved the décor of this beautiful establishment. It crosses an old English style with Old Hampshire, and shabby chic distressed look. Gorgeous!
It was expensive for what was essentially a bed and breakfast establishment. For that money, I would have expected AT LEAST a couple of bottles of complimentary water in the room fridge. The fridge was running but nothing in it! I wasn't too impressed with the breakfast either with no meat, such as bacon or cold meats. We left a little hungry.
We loved the luxurious, comfortable furnishings and atmosphere. The inn has a lovely fresh, warm breakfast in their charming dining room (with fireplace and views of the wetlands). In the evenings there is complimentary wine and cheese and veggies in the living room (also with a view of the wetlands). We enjoyed conversations with several visitors. In the evenings the staff put coffee cake and/or cookies out in the dining room for a late snack and cup of tea. Backing up to the wetlands is a treasure and a delightful find in the midst of LA. It is only a short walk to the beach. It was only about ten minutes from LAX and about the same from Santa Monica.
Limited number of restaurants to walk to but loads to choose from in just a couple minutes drive. This is not the place to stay if you want to walk to shops.
Staff was very friendly, holiday decorations vey beautiful and felt like home. Daily wine and cheese appreciated. Freshly baked goods each morning were anticipated! Just delightful!
TV location was awkward with the cabinet door hitting the bedpost.
Location, decorating style, attention to detail, and personal touches like a handwritten note welcoming me with home baked cookies. I would recommend it to everyone but am not sure I want everyone to know about it.
I liked everything. They will have to pay attention to tiny maintenance details in the next few years.
