No elevator - unheard of with 3 flights of narrow stairs!
I loved the historic feel of the place and all the unique furniture and lighting fixtures. The staff was great!
For as old as the place is, a few extra amenities or updates would have been nice to make the price worth it. For example, a continental breakfast, newer bedsheets/comforters, coffee maker in the room. Small improvements would make a huge difference.
Great location, quiet, clean. Large room, kitchenette was a great bonus.
The air conditioner was needed more to move the air, not so much for the temperature. It wasn't in good working order. I was constantly adjusting it. Bring your hair drier as there was not one in the room. Also, there were few power outlets in my room.
I enjoyed the old world styling of the room
Third floor room and no elevator. I have Parkinson's disease and the stairwell was challenging. Nice view of the Space needle though
Location is perfect, older style hotel but good staff and good facilities.
No elevator and no porter.Older people will struggle with luggage.
Was in walking distance to everything.
Old run down building and no parking.
The position is the only advantage.
The hotel is run-down, in very bad conditions. Staff is unprofessional and not collaborative.
The location and employees
The bar across the road. Free coffee in lobby.
No lift, no kettle, bathroom very small and needed serious refurbishment. Generally a scruffy hotel. Some of the staff very friendly others just ignored us as we walked past the reception in the morning. Wi-fi rubbish. Noisy.
Location and price
Needs updating, walkway needs repair as it is a tripping hazard
close to space needle and grocery stores.
the hotel is very old, the room is not clean. the pictures of the room in the booking.com do not show the current situation. there was a bad odor in the room and we told that to the staff. but instead at solving the problem, we have been told that it might be due to the carpet cleaning and we need to keep the window open....I would not recommend this hotel.
Excellent location. Friendly staff.
Poor wifi connection.
Location is great
Wifi is hard to connect
perfect location for attending an event at Key Arena.
Nice court yard and outside look. Good location to Seattle Centre and can walk to and from downtown easily. Did not use the car for the entire visit.
Some cosmetic work done but still shows its age. Mid summer prices high - paid $150 through booking.com but hotel tried to charge me $280 for 2 of 3 nights there and the room is definately not worth $280 a night. I would say low season should be $100/night.
Location is great.
Room was old feeling and not in a good way. Weird noises in the hallway.
Location is great. Right next to Seattle Center. Walking distance to piers. (And walking distance to our son who we were visiting.) Lowest cost of all hotels in that general area (but overpriced for what you get).
Bathroom in dire need of upgrade (worn tub; peeling paint), and there is no elevator. Had to walk up to 3rd Floor. Had to request hair dryer from front desk.
Location, location, LOCATION!
Requested a room with a view...that required being on the street side of the building and there seemed to be little in the way of soundproofing. A lot of the decor felt very outdated WEAK water pressure in the shower Old building so no central A/C, window unit seemed to have "frigid" and "melting" settings only
Location. Clean. Great staff.
Older hotel. A/C unit did not keep up with heat in room.
Location- Close to bus lines and yummy restaurants Staff -Polite and Easy Going Building -Clean, very quaint decor
Building- Cracks in ceiling make it feel dated rather than historical Stairs could be an issue for those with mobility problems
They had an old ac unit, a lot of places in Seattle don't
electricity problems, no parking, no coffee pot, dirty dirty old bathtub, no elevator, maid even checked to see if we were out before we officially checked out and left our door open. We ran to starbucks and came back to the door stuck open from our "do not disturb" signing getting stuck in the way. Our room was wide open. Worst hotel stay EVER.
Location is good, if you need to be in lower Queen Anne or have good access to downtown. Right next to Seattle center and the monorail (which gets you downtown in 5 minutes). fair choice of places to eat and drink around the hotel, and a great 24h supermarket just a few steps away. quiet. very nice staff.
The hotel feels old and out of date. No elevator. Had to climb to 3rd floor with luggage. Internet didn't work! Air-Condition is an old window unit which works, but makes a lot of noise. Shower-head was very low. Had to bend my knees to wash my hair (and i'm not even 6ft tall). In general the hotel needs to be renovated and updated. Feels old and out of date.
The location was excellent. Close to many great places to eat and drink, close to Seattle Center, and just a short walk to downtown to hop on the light rail to the stadiums or to go shopping in Belltown. The beds were very comfy. Television was great. Staff was very friendly. Great location for the price, but you get what you pay for.
It's very much so outdated. We were under the impression there was going to be a sofa for our third person to sleep on, but instead we had to sharsies, which was fine. The wifi was very sketchy. Water pressure was weird; great the first day but the second day it was like we ran out of our allotted water and practically was dripping out of the shower head - like showering from a hose. Outlets were oddly placed and scarce. Would have liked to have a second key, as we were two groups of folks wanting to do different things but were unable because of the one key per room situation. Maybe with some remodeling this place could be one of the best in town. But would probably stay there again if needed to be in that area, however probably not any longer than two nights.
