Score from 85 reviews Very good
Public spaces were "impressive" but should have put their money into upkeep of rooms.
Breakfast with room price. Other type of eggs other than scrambled. A lot of different place to eat in court area. The 2nd room a lot nicer. Like the fact that there extra plastic chairs to sit on court yard or on sidewalk next to room door.
Not enough trash cans in room. I was issued room 126 on my 1st night there very out dated. RR very small, AC did not work well. Changed to room 154 very much nicer. GYM very outdated. Would prefer less items but more modern stuff.
Maintenance staff was excellent. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Front desk personnel was very helpful and apologetic.
I didn't like that the front desk put us in a room that had a problem. They must have had an overflow in the restroom and had a huge blower in the room. It smelled really bad.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Water pressure was low.
The room was clean. A little old but not run down. We were there with our teenage daughter and her friend. They enjoyed the pool.
Parking was cramped. It was difficult to get in and out of parking places due to the nature of the lot. If we had been in our truck I think I'd of had to park on the street. We were on the 2nd floor, and the people below us must have wanted to wring our necks. The floors creaked. A LOT! I can only imagine how that sounded downstairs. Breakfast was ok. Powdered eggs. blah. Other than that, not bad.
The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable! When walking to our room, screens were falling off of windows. Very run down.
Mold on ceiling in my room.
Newly acquired property for Howard Johnson. I hope their remodeling efforts make it a top-notch facility. I like the location.
Room was more than expected!!
staff was very nice at check in
the pool was dirty, cold and the hot tub did not work. There was a wedding party and they were very disruptive while trying to put the children to bed.
The place was very nice and room ly. Lot of small little areas to eat other then the breakfast area. Wt. room kind of outdated. Pool was excellent. Stores near by. Fridge & micro were nice to have in our room. I definitely preferred the lower floor due to age. AC was great.
I had to get duplicates keys because the set I was given did not open door. This was done twice & stayed three nights. The TV a little too big had to get close in order for control to work.
The atmosphere of the area.
The squeaky floor in the room we were in.
Everything, the picture was not what it appeared on the web site. The staff was very surprised to hear it feed back and when we asked for a refund.
I liked the room and the pool
The manager was rude and miss informing
I like the location, easy access to restaurants.
Gates locked for security.
Cleanliness. Not good - in and around hotel.
Staff was very pleasant, roons were decent, goos location.
People were slamming doors next door at all hours of the night.
the room ok and staff
non wifi (whent to work and could not cause non connection) so i leave and steel waiting for my money back
Location was good.
It was like an old run down motel that the Howard Johnson bought out and put there name on it. Did not see cleaning cure in 3 days of staying there. It felt like more people lived there instead of them visiting. My family did not fill safe. We only hade two towels in room for 3 people. Call once for more, they never came. Oh and the free breakfast looked like it has been left out for days, did not eat any of it. Will not book again. Very disappointed.
location and price
This property is being renovated and there is a ways to go. Dated but has good upside if done right. The big courtyard should completely redone as well as rooms updated.
Staff was very friendly.
key card kept failing....place was obviously a reclamation project by Howard Johnson.
The room next to us had their door kicked in at midnight by the guests after an hour of yelling and pounding on he door causing our room to shake. Police were directly outside of our room interviewing a very loud woman until 1 am. My one year old was terrified and we could not get any rest. When we told staff while checking out they only gave us $10 off and said "we weren't happy about it either". I have now been charged for two nights at full rate when I only stayed one night and was supposed to get a discount.
location- tv was ok
drafty door-noisy refrigerator-coffee maker was a joke-wind rattled door all night-pillows uncomfortable
Key card failed, if my husband had not been in the room I would have been locked out. No comforter on the bed had to request a blanket that did not fit the bed. Carpet old and ratty and felt dirty. Felt unsafe at night
Very small bathroom and sink area; facilities are old & tired. Not enough electric outlets for our cell phones to charge. The hotel had changed hands and had new signage, but no word of this when I booked, so I had to circle the block a few times and go to the front desk before I was sure it was the right place.
