Just had dog groomed (cut very short) day b4 arrival. He was for sure flea free b4 arrival, but after 24 hrs., when 1st noticed, he was infested w/ 100's of fleas! Unbelievable and shocking (to us) to see so many. We think they came from room, b/c saw fleas on a white pillow that had fallen on floor--why would they be there(?) but cannot be totally sure w/out more thorough investigation, which we didn't have time for. Dark carpet made it impossible to see if they were on floor. Never seen so many fleas (on him) in our lives. In addition to pest control, we comb him daily, hence is flea free. Because of this "flea problem" we could not stay the 2nd night altho had paid in advance. We were refused a refund b/c they said it was "Not Booking's policy--they insist on 24 hrs. notice, but we didn't notice this problem soon enough, were so busy/tired. Had only paid for 2 nights. We arrived the 27th, went directly to a party, came home late, went to bed exhausted, didn't notice fleas til next a.m. Had to bathe, comb, dry him to totally deflea which took over an hour in bathtub. This made us late to our brunch party. We took our small Yorkie dog w/ us. As soon as got back from party, we reported problem, but they said "too late" for refund. We had to pack up and leave, totally exhausted.
Good beds. Nice pool. Good TV and WIFI. Nice staff and they tried to give us bottom floor room requested.
