The view is beautiful. The staff are friendly.
The thin walls so can hear everything neighbours did. the bed was too springy
The view was amazing and it seemed as though you could see it from almost any room. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The location was also good, as it seemed to be centrally located to explore the area.
I would have liked to have used the pool when we returned from our day, but it had closed at 7 pm (a little early?)
will not find may hotels with a better view , great deck for dinning over looking the hudson river
only two things are an issue , no customer laundry and no gym , otherwise great place to stay
the view and location
The view was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the wicker chairs in front of our room with our coffee in the morning and enjoying the view. The breakfast, itself, was pretty good. The staff members were friendly. The location was very nice and fit in with our plans.
When we were checking in, a man came in with what appeared to be a "woman of the night". I was immediately on alert. But on the other hand, this may occur in other hotels around the U.S. We are from a totally different geographical area where this is not accepted. Also, the Inn is older, but New York is older than where we are from (the 'old' west). So how do you compare these two diverse areas?
Being able to dine outside overlooking the Hudson was a real unexpected treat!
Overall, the Inn was excellent. Nice views of the Hudson from our balcony. The Inn is clean, comfortable. A bit pricey, but the location from NYC gives it the right to be a bit on the high side.
Quite noisy. Trains, barges, traffic on the nearby Rt. 9 made it tough to sleep for this country boy whose used to hearing only the whisper of the winds at night.
We enjoyed everything.
Location. Convenient to Rte. 9 and cute restored small downtown area in Peekskill.
"View of the Hudson" neglects to mention "view of the nuclear power plant". Noisy. Bathroom and shower backed up first morning along entire line of rooms. "Free breakfast" was packaged muffins and coffee. Room was the size of a closet. Carpet covered a small step up inside the room, tripping us whenever we went the two feet from the bed to the desk to the bathroom. Would not stay again.
Great views, lots to do in close proximity!
Beautiful view, nice linens
Freeway and train noise, dated decor, loud karaoke on Thursday nights.
Great location, beautiful are, convenient to train to NYC, excellent staff
Great location and great view. Good value for the money. Helpful staff.
Terrible continental breakfast.
Location was good to visit H udon River V alley sites.
We were given a room above the restaurant. They forgot to mention to us that there is live karaoke every Thursday & Saturday nights. From 7:30 to 11:00 our room was shaking & vibrating from the noise. Also, our socks were black from walking on the dirty carpet.
View over Hudson
Closeness to trains Noisy environment Poor maintenance of facility
rOOMS WERE CLEANED
CHECK - IN PERSONEL COULD BE A LITTLE MORE FRIENDLY , BUT THATS NEW YORK
I chose this hotel partly because of the outdoor pool however it was closed as they had no lifeguard during the week.
The beds were comfortable. I like the duvets.
The room was shabby. The desk chair was broken. The staff at the desk weren't always helpful. At one point I asked for help with transportation and the man at the desk said he didn't know the area, he was just sitting in for someone else. The location by the river was gorgeous, but when I walked into town, it was clear that the neighborhood was run-down and perhaps even a bit unsafe.
mattress too soft, tv small. remote old fashioned, bathroom door stick, closet doors stick.
good breakfast. the sunset!
mattress to soft. quilt should be replaced.
No hot water Front desk staff was cold and unhelpful
The restaurant was fantastic!
The rooms where in need of renovation. The carpet had tears, the bathroom was dated, hallway to ice machine ugly
Location to where I work plus the very good restaurant at hotel
It had a nice view, that was partially obstructed
Not worth the money at all. The train runs just below the hotel, all night long and makes a lot of noise, the bed was uncomfortable, old, not clean, and the "continental breakfast" was embarrassing
Great location. The bed was very comfortable and the room nice and clean. Breakfast options were good.
My shower door wouldn't stay closed. No emergency amenities to purchase...toothpaste, etc... Would have been helpful, but there is a CVS pretty close.
