Carpets weren't vacuumed
Friendly front desk clerk.
Old, run down, not much of a selection for breakfast. Needs complete overhaul; carpet, wallpaper, paint, etc., room too small for 2 queen size beds
the flower baskets on every wing except ours.
didn't like being so far downtown since we were only stopping on a longer Interstate trip. The coffee maker was in the bathroom. Sound appetizing?
great location, near downtown. the kids very much enjoyed the pool and the stuff was very nice and friendly. we had great time and for sure will come back.
the location close to the Rodeo grounds and convention center
it was very old and not too up to date, pool did apear to be welcoming.
The room was very clean and the bedding smelled fresh
low water pressure
the location and the rooms were fine.
The outside of the rooms was quite dirty around the door. The rooms were clean and fine.
Location! price .tiled shower. Clean! Easy access to room from vehicle.
beds were comfortable
water in Penelton tasted bad. this was not the motels fault.
Simple and convient
not enough electrical outlets
For an old style motel, the room we had had obviously been renovated. A small room, maybe, but well equipped. The night was calm, the bed good, what. Else can you say for a price hard to beat
Was very comfortable in my room. Quiet. Was not bothered. Clean room.
Double door with next room. My side of the door not locke
Great place will stay there again
Breakfast in the morning was a nice surprise. The fruit was fresh (had an apple and banana) and the pasteries looked good as well.
Room was trapped in the 50s with nothing remodeled since then. The bed was hard, the pillows were flat, the selection on the TV was odd, and the door did not dead bolt. I had to push the table and two chairs in front of the door to sleep. I based my reservation on the reviews - I won't be making that mistake again.
The staff was amazing.
Our room looked into someone's backyard. Not so weird for us, but I would think weird for them.
Clean; good TV station p resentation
Too small. Furnishings old and uncomfortable. Musty odor
Excellent help from the manager & staff
Price was rather high due no doubt to the rodeo
Very friendly desk. When reservation was messed up by power outage we were given an even better room.
Manager was really friendly and informative on the area. Room was clean. / Cleaning while we were there was good
coffee wasn't replaced for the coffee pot.
Cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. Basic but adequate for a good night's sleep.
Nothing comes to mind.
We were on our way to a wedding and let us check in really early. Lady at the desk very nice and helpful.
Not a resort but so worth the money.
Pool. Close to downtown
We had bugs in our bed and not just one. Our empty cooler was on the floor and in the morning there was a weavel bug in it. We asked for a quiet room and she put us way to the back the second room from the end, by a side street and then very late at night she put someone in right beside us. Why would you do that if you ask for quiet. Her response to a few things was "We are a budget motel" Hot tub not working.
This is a 4* 2-star motel. It's clean, inexpensive, and Ilene, the manager, is gracious, welcoming, and incredibly good-natured. (Especially when it turned out we wouldn't be arriving 'til 2:30 am . . .she was there with a smile to check us in and told us not to worry 'bout check-out time 'cause everyone was welcome to stay for the "Round Up" parade happening the next day. It's not a new hotel but everything's been cleaned and painted; the beds were comfortable, the air conditioners worked great, our non-smoking rooms did not smell of smoke, and it was surprisingly quiet. If you're looking for a luxury hotel with spas and restaurants, this ain't it. This is a convenient, clean, 2-story motel, with a pool, that's especially great if you're on a budget. We stayed one night -- had to be a few hours away the next day -- but were so pleased with the stay, and Ilene, that we drove back to stay a second night. The internet was free and worked (!) and there were muffins, fruit, and packaged oatmeal available in the morning.
Eventually, it would be nice to update some of the furniture. The carpets were really clean but new carpeting would be good at some point too. (They obviously spent a lot of time cleaning and upgrading the overall place and that shows.) All doors should have a deadbolt on the inside and not just an integrated-lock-deadbolt.
The front desk couple was so kind, very helpful. After I checked in I couldn't get the room key to work and he walked over with me and did it himself. Later he saw me trying to buy from a soda machine that took my money. I said, "It's ok, it doesn't matter." He said, "Yes it does!" He went and got the key to the machine and after several minutes of working, handed me the soda. Very nice! The room as clean, comfortable and located just 4 blocks from a grocery store. When I checked in the front desk man told me all of the nearby restaurants where I could get a meal.
