Hyatt House San Diego Carlsbad  

We stayed in a 2 bed suite. It had a sleeper sofa. Good size for 2 adults and 3 kids. Room is big and comfortable. Enjoyed the mini one walled kitchen with bar counter.

Our first night evening snack was a disappointment. After 30 min, food and fountain drinks ran out. We sere told that there would be no drinks delivered for 2 more nights. I think it was due to inexperienced staff. Next morning breakfast and evening reception were different. The staff looked experienced. Food and drinks were quickly restocked as they were taken. The free shuttle to the outlet and Legoland was good. But, we did wait 30 min in the cold evening for pick up from the outlet on our first night. (We made total 3 phone calls for the pick up and each was told "5 more minutes.")

We stayed at the 2 double suite. The extra sofa bed was handy. Room is good size. The free shuttle to Legoland, beach, and outlet was great convenience.

Our free social night was a disaster. Food ran out in 30 min. Non alcoholic drinks were "ran out" in the beginning.

Overall our stay at the hotel was okay however the information provided about the hotel at booking.com is absolutely Misleading. Infact I feel as if I was cheated when I booked the room. I would like to find out who is responsible for the false advertising of the rooms. While booking the room we were able to see detailed photographs of the rooms. Unfortunately the rooms shown in the pictures appear to have 2 room suites, with luxurious interiors. The room that we actually got was not a suite, it was less than half the size of the one in the pictures. Whats really frustrating is that I specifically contacted the hotel and inquired about the room and they informed me that the pictures were accurate and infact all their rooms were suites. Not true. The rooms were clean, and very well kept but not at all what we were promised. Oh and what makes it worse is that they charged me nearly 25% more than the price indicated on my confirmation with booking.com. I have been too busy to call the hotel about it since we got back but I will be calling them in the next day or so.

Excellent amenities and rooms. Good breakfast and evening snacks.
