InterContinental Hotel San Francisco    

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable for that part of the city. Located in the SoMa region, we were in walking distance to the ballpark, shopping and close to Fisherman's wharf.

This was not a big deal but we could hear a some street noise from the 10th floor. It didn't bother us at all but may bother other travelers.

I did not like the way we were treated. We did not have a city view which is what we paid for. The rude front desk clerk tried to tell me it was an upgrade, not! Front staff was just plain rude. I will never be staying there again let alone any Intercontinental. I'd rather stay at The Ritz or Four Seasons and pay more $$$ than stay here again. I shouldn't have gone against my gut to switch hotel companies!

The receptionist is the rudest I have ever met. The guy Micah refused my booking.com reservation even I showed him my reservation. I have travelled all over the world and never have encountered the similar situation in a well-known hotel. The manager eventually agreed but they should train their staff how to treat customers.

I appreciated the personalized service of every one in every capacity.

$52 a day parking

The room was very comfortable and gym was fantastic. The towels were soft and the bed was awesome, I didn't want to ever get up!

The only negative of the eoom was that the bathroom was freezing with no way of warming it uo, at least they have slippers. The main negative was although I was told an early checkin was an option as soon as I arrived it was a complete upsale to get an early checking. I checked in on a Saturday and it seems unlikely that only the club level rooms were available early but I was tired post red eye flight so I didn't have any other options.

The view. We were arranged a corner room which had an excellence view of the city. We like it so much.

We have to pay on the Internet fee. Unlike from other hotel, No free wifi service in hotel area. Parking fee is a bit higher than expected.

They did not tell us how much the parking cost until we left and they were extremely unorganized in the valet, it took way to long to get our car

I was very annoyed that there was a $15 charge per day to use the Internet/wifi. When paying the price required for this hotel, this is unacceptable.

We were able to check in early. The staff was very nice and the location was ideal.

We have always loved the San Francisco Intercontinental. We would stay there for romantic nights while living in SF and now that we moved to another country, Intercontinental San Francisco is now our hotel of choice been visiting San Francisco on Business and Leisure.

We booked the hotel on Booking.com under the impression the room would be around $189 (and possibly peaking around $230 or so for a night or two during our 6 night day). However upon check-in and signing a touch screen displaying the per night rate, we were surprised and disappointed to see the rate jumped to $300 and $360 during our stay and the Booking.com total didn't include the total cost (including taxes and fees which tacked on a substantial amount). The Intercontinental is a great 4 star hotel, but $360 a night is steep.

all the bums! and high PARKING RATE! parking should be free! would make everything more convinient!
