Great hotel and a good location. The breakfeast restaurant, although a little pricey but in line with the rest of San Fran was casual, inviting and accommodating.
I liked that our room was high above the noise of the streets. That is what most people complain about in regard to San Francisco Hotel Rooms. We also had an amazing view of the bay and city. The staff were very friendly and professional. I liked the "Green" approach. Decorations were beautiful. Shower was amazing. The spa is over priced, but the spa staff were wonderful and didn't try and sell me things during my treatment. I would stay here again.
The mattress was not comfortable at all. I would have expected more high end for the price (bedding was fine). Restaurant and room service were over priced. I would have like a cheaper room service options. $17 for a turkey sandwich...common on guys.
Great location in SOMA - 5 minute walk to corner of Market/Powell Street where all the action is, including the Westfield San Francisco Shopping Centre. Union Square is a 10-15 minute walk away. Rest of SF easy to reach by public transport, including BART at Powell Street Station. I arrived at 9am and was allowed to check in at 10am even though check in does not start until 3pm! Great room with very comfortable king size bed, well stocked bar fridge with the usual inflated prices. Did not use any of the facilities in the hotel such as restaurant, gym or spa - spent too much time exploring beautiful SF.
The wifi IS free if you sign up to some free membership, which has not flooded my email with spam so far.
We chose to stay here as I was attending a convention at the center which is very close by. Overall very satisfied with rooms and cleanliness
Expensive, Lobby small and dull. Charge for Wi-fi
Excellent and friendly front desk, very clean and well furnished room, centralized location
The view was great and the spacious bathroom was ideal.
It's a bit pricey and there are not enough perks to warrant the price.
The pool was excellent as were the gym facilities. Great location! Large clean and comfortable rooms.
Parking was $60 per night, where as the car park next door was $10. No free Wi-Fi. Paid Wi-Fi $30 a day!!!!!!!!
The place was clean , staff was friendly
For 3 days is the same price of my mortgage for the entire month ... Waaaay over priced !
The room was very comfortable and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The telephone in our room didn't work. We wanted to order a snack before dinner via room service. So we went down to the bar instead. We were seated immediately and given menus but then we waited, and waited...Finally we decided to forego our pre dinner snack and went back to our room. It was for the best since we ended up having a big dinner.
This is a very nice hotel, near the Moscone center, Yueba Vista Gardens, and a lot of downtown businesses, and also close to the more touristy areas near Powell. Very nice fitness center that is open 24x7. Surrounded by excellent restaurants.
They charge $15 for Internet access for a day, which seems weird for a city that has worked so hard to promote the Internet. There are a number of homeless living in the streets in San Francisco, which is a sobering reminder of the gulf between the haves and the have nots. (Despite this, the area appears to be safe and not dangerous - this seems to be a characteristic of this warm, weather friendly city.).
Very clean and comfortable hotel, with modern furnishings. It's ideally located in downtown SF. Away from the madness of Union Square, but still walkable to all the tourist sites and public transportation options on Market street.
For the price and the quality of the hotel, I expected there to be free wifi.
Security in the hotel,
The rate is expensive for 4 stars hotel $400!!!
Noisy location. Dodgy district!
Refrigerator was not working. Bed covering close to carpet was stained. Location is quite shady! Neighbourhood smells like urine.
Clean, convenient location. Bathroom was really nice. Rooms are good size.
Although convenient, the location is close to a rough neighborhood
High quality experience Very helpful staff Excellent food
Office/business facilities were needlessly expensive and simply left a negative experience on what was a lovely stay.
If you are headed to Moscone Convention Center, there isn't a better choice for a hotel. The staff provided the best customer service I have experienced in a long time - friendly, helpful and timely. Great place to stay.
Only one dining choice and a very small bar.
Brilliant hotel, because of the amazing staff. From reception to wait staff, cleaners to concierge everyone courteous and genuine and made me feel very welcome. Doesn't matter the star rating of a hotel, it is the employees who make it wonderful. This hotel could be cold an impersonal but the staff made it a pleasant delight.
Petty I know, but all condiments in a triangular box seemed wasteful considering green Eco credentials of hotel. Separate out, no box!
The location was very nice; by walking, you can rich many places.
We arrived Thursday, President Obama arrived Friday at which time then we could not get back in to our hotel room to get ready to join some cast members of Pippin before their show that evening. We missed out on dinner with the cast and then after some time complaining we were going to miss the show we were escorted out the back of the hotel as no one was being allowed once again from entering or existing the hotel. For two days the streets in front of the hotel were blocked so you could not access a cab and my girlfriend travelling with me is having hip surgery so now walking blocks to get a cab just didn't work. Obama left Saturday and Sunday hundreds came in for a convention called Dreamforce at which time you could not get an elevator. I would say to check what events on taking place before booking but when I mentioned this to the manager they are not allowed to and do not know in advance (wow the President goes last minute) when these situations are going to arrise.
Had to pay for morning coffee.
They take 300 us D More from my viza and no refund yet
The way the staff staff handled my reservation, they offered an upgrade with no extra cost. The location was perfect, every thing you need is within a walking distance.
- well equipped, spacious 24hr gym with adequate weight machines and dumb bells - location is less than 10 min walk to Union Square, lots of shops around - staff are helpful and polite
- nothing but free wifi would have made it truly exceptional
