Score from 520 reviews Wonderful
breakfast buffet good quality food. Great coffee.
The quality of the pillows, no sleepers in the room. Light is not for makeup is more for a man room
I like the location of the hotel and the view. Accessible and right at centre of famous landmarks.
Great room, great bed, enjoyed drinks at Top of the Mark. Will stay there again!
Top of the Mark closed down at 12:30 on a Saturday night. Parking is over the top expensive. Having to pay for WiFi in 2015.
Location and Buffett Christmas Eve at the Top of The Mark was a great experience.
The $200 plus a night room was very small with zero view. The non existent hot water was very upsetting.
View from the top of the mark
Sort of older
Location is iconic. Despite age, rooms are comfortable.
Food at top of the mark was insipid. Restaurant does not offer anything than a $30buffet for breakfast, no menu. Slow valet service.
comfortable bed. Pretty central to things
Price. Should offer free water
Staff were all helpful and appeared to enjoy what they were doing. Went out of their way to say good morning, have a nice stay, how can help, etc.
That we only stayed one night
Every thing about this hotel was perfect from the door man to the porter and office staff if anyone is looking for the treatment of feeling sophistication and ellegance this if the hotel thank you Mark Hopkings staff for making my family stay one we won't regret
Can not say any thing bad about this hotel
Ambience and history if facility give this place a distinction not easily duplicated
The price of the breakfast buffet was too high for a family of 4
The location of the hotel is awesome! Buy a bus/cable car daily pass to ease the stress of driving in the city. There are many historical sites to see within walking distance. Walk a very short distance to the Nob Hill Cafe for lunch or dinner. Awesome Italian food! The Top of the Mark is the cocktail lounge on the top floor. It`s the place to be at sunset!
Good price for SF hotel
Very expensive bar menu for snacks. Very expensive overnight parking fees.
Great position, so far as being central and having a great view of the city. Grand old hotel, lovely fascade but not as welcoming as the Fairmont across the road.
Position is very inconvenient as far as the effort required to go anywhere and the walk up and down Nob Hill. Paying for wi-fi? What is this, 2005?
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & felt very comfortable. We were also empressed by how knowledgable & helpful the staff were of Opera.
The use of the WiFi should be included & not charged separately. This service could be an option as a guest rather than per fee!
Great location. The best doormen. Very nice historic hotel with all of the contemporary amenities expected except included WiFi.
The days of charging extra for WiFi are over. And if you want a bar in which guests may have a table, go somewhere else. The bar at the Top of the Mart is a tourist attraction making it nearly impossible for guests to get in without a waiting line. "No reservations," so get in line! We failed to get in on each of 6 attempts over 5 days.
Beautiful view of the bay from our room. Room service was excellent, too.
Top floor too crowded for us to see.
Location is stunning with views of the city. Beautiful hotel with old world charm. Close to all tourist spots or within a quick taxi or Uber ride. The staff was awesome, they were all helpful and eager to accommodate.
Parking fees were ridiculous.
The view from the hotel.
Walking up the hills of S.F.
The views are great, and the room was comfortable. We had thanksgiving dinner at the top and it was good. It's definitely the best place for a cocktail and music
Noise between rooms is a little loud, and the concierge floor was in the main restaurant in the lobby which was a little off putting. The lobby was not decorated as nice as many other hotels in the area. I would definitely come back.
The hotel was beautiful inside and out and very convenient to union square. Easy check out.
Having to pay for parking, and not being told about the cheuffeur service. The hidden $150 deposit fee that I was not expecting to pay.
The view was spectacular; the room decor was calming; the bed comfy; the windows open - best feature! Danced up at Top of the Mark - great band! Wish I could have stayed longer.
location, view, size of room, coffee/tea maker, robe/slippers
carpets around the edges were very dusty. Bed had some sort of mattress on top of the regular mattress. It was comfortable but moved around.
