Location, vintage but updated feel of the property, Top of the Mark on Thursday night, Great band and ambiance, friendliness of the staff, especially the bellmen,
didn't like that there was a charge for the wifi
The staff were lovely and the buffet breakfast was good! We paid extra for breakfast.. It was worth it for us cos otherwise we would have had to pay $80 for two people for breakfast every day!
The bed was really uncomfortable and the room was quite small! Overpriced hotel. Would have preferred a cheaper hotel with a bigger room.
Drinks and food Very expensive
Cost of parking
Staff is exceptional very attentive to details and requests
you need to change the beds ,seems to be very old fashioned and uncomfortable. I know everyone needs to conserve water ,but you need to allow a little more water flow from the restroom sink, very difficult to wash face ,brush teeth or shave.
Cumbersome WiFi, need to log in each device every day. No free bottled water. Bathroom too old fashioned. Annoying water saver shower.
The location doesn't get any better and all the staff is so lovely and friendly. For an older hotel it's still clean, comfortable and roomy. It's going to be my go-to hotel from now on.
1st class hotel and staff
Very loud street noise all night on the 5th floor front. Who knew that cable cars were that noisy?
The views from our room and "Top of the Mark" keep us coming back for more!! There couldn't be a better central location when visiting San Francisco. Knob Hill is the most lovely spot I town. With the dramatic views in every direction, the California Street cable car just outside our front door, the Tonga Room across the street and with only a 5 minute walk to Chinatown, Union Square, Polk Street & North Beach, what's not to like??? We'll be back......
Expensive parking, and a WI-FI fee.
Really awesome fitness room.
Overnight parking was 55 dollars.
San Francisco taxes you for everything! City sucks. Couldn't sleep from all the sirens outside.
Good location, nice staff, good breakfast.
The hotel did not match my expectation of an Intercontinental hotel. There was no attention to details in terms of cleanliness of rooms and corridors. The facilities are worn out. A renovation of facilities would be advisable.
front desk staff are not friendly and professional at all .
Hotel building exterior and its nearby location.
Poor pillow, noisey room, small bath tub expensive overnight parking $54 per night, wifi for $14 per night and slow as anything. Pleas do yourself afavor and stay else where.
Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. I lost my glasses in the top of the mark and someone found them the next morning for me shortly before we checked out.
Very drunk young women arguing in hall late at night. Went on far too long. Found it difficult to sleep.
Hotel location is nice, TV channels.
Pillow not comfortable. I paid extra for deluxe king room and was given room at 3rd floor which was too noisy and small. Went back to reception and was given room at higher floor with apology. Room was smaller in size by quite compared to one at 3rd floor. Bath tub was tiny and will not fit adults . Parking also is $54 per day. CEOs the street there is fairmont for much better room and hotel,
Price of EVERYTHING was so expensive. Insulted to have to pay $16.00 for self serve coffee machine in restaurant, then expected / imposed to give a tip for handing me a bill. We had 1 latte & 1 cap- horrible! Not happy! Will go to Fairmont next
The food was delicious
They use my credit card many times without inform me and they charge me the last day breakfast even my booking included breakfast
breakfast buffet good quality food. Great coffee.
The quality of the pillows, no sleepers in the room. Light is not for makeup is more for a man room
I like the location of the hotel and the view. Accessible and right at centre of famous landmarks.
Great room, great bed, enjoyed drinks at Top of the Mark. Will stay there again!
Top of the Mark closed down at 12:30 on a Saturday night. Parking is over the top expensive. Having to pay for WiFi in 2015.
Location and Buffett Christmas Eve at the Top of The Mark was a great experience.
The $200 plus a night room was very small with zero view. The non existent hot water was very upsetting.
View from the top of the mark
Sort of older
Location is iconic. Despite age, rooms are comfortable.
Food at top of the mark was insipid. Restaurant does not offer anything than a $30buffet for breakfast, no menu. Slow valet service.
