Rooms getting old need a revamp towels in bathroom too small
We loved our hotel room, it was a generous size, and the view from the window was amazing! The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The Mark Hopkins hotel is in a great location in San Francisco and very close to Union Square. We'd love to go back there!
Nothing - everything was wonderful!
comfortable bed, great view, great location, good morning coffee downstairs
Room was on the warm side, esp. in the bathroom - I had to set the AC temp at 65 to get it cool enough. AC does work - but usually if I set it at 65 I am freezing!
The suite upgrade. The staff was super accommodating to our needs. Meryl Quimbo is awesome!
beautiful location, comfy beds, very clean. Some employees were very helpful and cordial
no refrigerator, water pressure in shower was poor. Not a lot of amenities (compared to Fairmont across the street). Hallways could use a bit of sprucing up. Some employees didn't seem to want to be bothered
Time for a deep clean. Is old and tired.
So, the key didn't work, and was asked for my id getting a new key. Trouble is, left the ID in the room before my morning walk. Like this has never happened before. Shame on you for your being rude to me because I don't carry ID on a morning walk. Was it really necessary to ask 5 questions to verify my identity? For $400 a night, one would expect better service, and a little understanding.
Staff was receptive and quick to address any Concerns we had.
No group exercise classes.
the room it had an ice machine outside and there was a constant water gush outside my room, the bar had to pay to go and sit to have a drink not good should have been free for guests. The other bar closed at 10, and was very small.
The InterContinental Mark Hopkins is a place to treat yourself, but it doesn't come cheap. What I liked - the service, the grandeur and opulence of a classic American hotel, location on Nob Hill, and an elevator ride from the Top of the Mark.
Not great value for money, wifi isn't free (actually quite expensive), no complimentary shuttles to SFO.
Love the Hotel location the history of the hotel and the surrounding area.
Bathrooms are too small, not enough coffee and cream in the room. No parking other than 52.00 a night valet.
Very clean nice location
The air did not work properly. It was hard to cool the room.
Location and hotel facilities were great. Quality of sleep was excellent.
Staff at the reception can be a bit friendlier. Wifi was not free.
The staff were absolutely fantastic - no question was too absurd, everyone was extremely helpful - they go out of their way to assist. The rooms were spotless, and the food was delicious. The Top of the Mark Lounge has a fantastic view of the city!! It has a great location to everything. For my first visit to San Francisco, wanting to experience the city, the shopping, and walking UP those hills, I could not have chosen anything any better.
The only thing that would make this hotel "better" would be to offer a guest shuttle to and from the airport on a regular basis.
1. Good old-fashioned`hotel with class. 2. Very nice housekeeping 3. Very clean (although the old carpet in the room had history...) 4. Very nice view, windows can be opened a bit - fresh air. 5. coffee machine in the room
1. Air condition in the room is very noisy - and doesn`t cool down at all. 2. I got the confirmation for a late check-out (4pm), which was in the end not possible, unless I would have paid an extra night. 3. Staff nice, but not especially helpful 4. Clients: many congresses and groups, looked like `mass tourism` 5. Location itself very nice (Nob Hill) but very tiring to get up there by foot. One depends on taxis or (mostly full) cable car. It says `10min. walk to Union Square. True. But 10 min UP the hill. Not for elderly people 6. Bathrooms very small
A comfortable stay and friendly staff - breakfast a highlight!
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was great!
We didn't get tickets to Alcatraz in advance. The hotel was able to get us tickets as well as a 48 hour pass for the red tour buses in San Francisco. We had to pay $130.00 per person "cash". The trip to Alcatraz was great the Tour Buses were unreliable and a big disappointment. We ended up using the red tour buses only once while we were there.
The hotel, up on a hill, offers great views and has a grand old hotel atmosphere, nice beds, relaxed but attentive service.
Internet is not included in the basic room price.
The hotel was in a great destination and close to union sq. the top of the mark bar was a superb addition to the hotel!
Rooms were not cleaned daily very well and dust accumulated after 3 days.
I thought it was a good hotel but not great based on the high price. I liked the location but my wife found it too far out of the way (up at the top of the hill).
Noisy outside early in the morning.
From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant a possible. The front desk, doormen, etc., were wonderful, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the city. Our rooms had views that were to die for, and our accomadations were clean, roomy and beautiful. It was amazing staying on the top of Nob Hill and we felt like we were experiencing classic San Francisco. We will definitely be back!!! Don't miss a cocktail at sunset at The Top of The Mark - breathtaking!!!
The Top of the Mark was a wonderful place to capture the incredible view
Well located, clean, professional staff, and quiet.
A couple of firmer pillows would have been nice The Fitness room was way too warm (~73 F) and I mentioned it...twice. In addition, there were no antiseptic wipes to clean the equipment after use. Attendants at front doors were not always readily available.
Comfortable, great views, quiet Breakfast staff and food was excellent.
Smell of the room, size of bathroom. Limitations of lift, size and number. Lobby was disorganized when busy.
Average hotel No thing was bad
Location is on the highest point of Nob Hill. Though, distance is close to Union Sq. and fair to fishermen
