The view was spectacular; the room decor was calming; the bed comfy; the windows open - best feature! Danced up at Top of the Mark - great band! Wish I could have stayed longer.
location, view, size of room, coffee/tea maker, robe/slippers
carpets around the edges were very dusty. Bed had some sort of mattress on top of the regular mattress. It was comfortable but moved around.
Extra blanket in room, extra robe, comfy bed, good wifi, great bathroom products, umbrella, fabulous view and very courteous staff
Valet button on phone (to order car) was always busy, but "instant service" button was always answered on first ring, so no complaints, really.
Great staff and awesome beds. The location is great and the rooms are beautiful.
Food and drink are pretty pricey but that goes with San Francisco in general.
everyone was respectful kind and courteous
Over priced food
The room is very nice and comfortable. Staff is friendly.
Thermostat doesn't produce noticeable difference in temperature. Bed is a bit deformed and soft.
great bed, great washrooms, quiet rooms
staff could have been more pleasant and attentive
We were so happy to reach the beautiful Mark Hopkins after fighting some terrible city traffic. The beds and room were comfy and the location is wonderful! Close to union square, but set away on top of Nob Hill enough so you feel safe and sound!
Trolley car started up early in the morning and being down on the 3rd floor you could hear the street noise quite a bit!
Being a native San Franciscan,I have fond memories of the Mark Hopkins from years ago.I Loved their attention to detail, every member,of the staff made me,feel welcomed and special.
although quite close from union square, the hotel is on the top of a mountain, requiring us a tough walk everyday, once the tram is full most part of the day
Well located to everything.
It is time for them to start redecorating hallways.
I loved everything about my stay except the fact that there were not any dental care products? Not sure if that was in all rooms or just the room I was staying in, but it was definitely missed.
No dental care products in the restroom. (toothpaste, toothbrush, or mouthwash)
Gorgeous and classic old hotel with modern amenities.
Cable cars right outside. Right across the street from the Tonga Room. Beautiful view of the city and bay. And just a comfortable, beautiful, historic hotel with fantastic service.
A bit on the pricey side. And parking is pretty much valet only.
I liked all the above items. The staff could not have been friendlier...and more helpful...I had a wonderful time in San Francisco and appreciated my stay at the Mark Hopkins.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like about the Mark Hopkins.
Rooms getting old need a revamp towels in bathroom too small
We loved our hotel room, it was a generous size, and the view from the window was amazing! The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The Mark Hopkins hotel is in a great location in San Francisco and very close to Union Square. We'd love to go back there!
Nothing - everything was wonderful!
comfortable bed, great view, great location, good morning coffee downstairs
Room was on the warm side, esp. in the bathroom - I had to set the AC temp at 65 to get it cool enough. AC does work - but usually if I set it at 65 I am freezing!
The suite upgrade. The staff was super accommodating to our needs. Meryl Quimbo is awesome!
beautiful location, comfy beds, very clean. Some employees were very helpful and cordial
no refrigerator, water pressure in shower was poor. Not a lot of amenities (compared to Fairmont across the street). Hallways could use a bit of sprucing up. Some employees didn't seem to want to be bothered
Time for a deep clean. Is old and tired.
So, the key didn't work, and was asked for my id getting a new key. Trouble is, left the ID in the room before my morning walk. Like this has never happened before. Shame on you for your being rude to me because I don't carry ID on a morning walk. Was it really necessary to ask 5 questions to verify my identity? For $400 a night, one would expect better service, and a little understanding.
Staff was receptive and quick to address any Concerns we had.
No group exercise classes.
the room it had an ice machine outside and there was a constant water gush outside my room, the bar had to pay to go and sit to have a drink not good should have been free for guests. The other bar closed at 10, and was very small.
