Historical building Location Top floor bar/ restaurant View from the room over the city Very noisy room - mine was separated from the neighbour room by a thin wooden door. Could ear everything that was said by the occupants... Very NOISY plumbing, you can ear the whole floor flushing their WC or taking a shower Lack of facilities (gym, restaurants) INTERNET is charged another 16$ per 24h for a crap connection. Unacceptable from a hotel of that range and Intercontinental brand. We're not in the 80s anymore, Wifi access should be complimentary and universally accessible. an Evian 25cl water bottle proposed in the room is charged 7$ ... You better drink from the tap Customer CROWD are pretty middle-class and don't contribute to raising the standard of that hotel.

Great location, superb staff. The Concierge Club was a very good deal. And our bed had the most comfy mattress ever. Top notch all around.

This hotel is in a great part of the city. It is a beautiful establishment, and the room was very comfortable; lovely in fact. The room service was superb, the staff friendly and helpful. They do not accept reservations for The Top of the Mark in the evening. We waited 20 minutes to be seated and were then seated at the bar. They did move us to a table after we asked, but that was another 20 minutes later.

It's a beautiful hotel, located right on top of Nobb Hill. The view from Top of the Mark restaurant is awesome, but the wait for it is ridiculous! Be sure to make reservations! It is a beautiful hotel although I think there are many others in the area that outshine it. So many beautiful hotels in san fran, it's hard to compete! Some of the staff are fantastic, some come across as rather snobby. Also, while the view from the top of the mark is great, being on top of nobb hill can be a real pain for getting around the city! That hill is steep! Depends how much time you have and if you're willing to wait in the lines for the cable car up the hill

Everything but particularly the extreme quiet of the room we occupied:No air conditioning hum coming from the wall.No street noise. No neighboring room noises. Total peaceful comfort and isolation from the outside noise intrusions. We slept extremely well. The room decor was also in perfect good taste.The bathroom was a gem of comfort and floor/walls detailing. Some of the hotel guests we saw were short of civilized manners and their dress code was that of commercial truck drivers. Particularly obnoxious visually was the wearing of dirty,discolored baseball caps in the restaurant while having their meals. Not just one guest but several. We expected a more distinguished looking class of guests at the Mark Hopkins.The times have truly changed for senior, world traveled people like us.

The gentleman at the entrance The quality of the room, the cheap towels, the mini-bar (a refrigerator would have been better),the lighting in the bathroom and the howling toilet at 3am, and the ridiculous charges on my bill for things I did not use!!!

It is veru well located. The rooms are very confortable. Excellent view of the city. Parking is expensive, but there is more convinient rates near the hotel.

The service and concierge was wonderful. The rooms were cozy, but they were just regular hotel rooms, hardly worth the price. The hotel is getting by on reputation, not on wonderful food, rooms, drinks, entertainment, etc. The most disappointing thing to me was that there wasn't a spa. The hotel had to call someone from the outside to give me a massage...which was only mediocre. As great as the service was, we'll probably choose to stay somewhere else next time.

The hotel is in a great location. Away from but close to all that San Francisco has to offer. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel shows a little wear in some areas. The bathroom in our room had some minor mold spots.

Location was great. Very Friendly staff. Rooms were a little small for the money. The views were very nice from the rooms. The views from the Top were marvelous and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. The staff was very warm and friendly to my child. A luxury hotel that was very kid friendly.

We just loved this hotle. We were able to walk down to the shops and all over the city. The staff was super nice and helped out in anyway the could. I would have to say it was the bestest stay I have ever had in San Francisco. We will stay here again. Oh one more thing they had up graded our room because we were there for a Honeymoon and they had left a nice card and bottle of champagne for us too. Great service! None... The hotel rocked!!!
