The location, the great view from our room. Nice fitness and pool area.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The room was rather small. The price for hotel parking was very steep.
Good location Beautiful foyer Restaurant was great
Poor poor customer service Staff is unconcerned
Location and friendliness of the staff
All was great!
Parking was 67.00 thats crazy
Staff was very helpful, food was great and location couldnt have been better!
The staff tried their best to accommodate the issue but only the following day.
I booked a room with two beds but when we arrived they didn't have a room with two beds even though I had called the day before and they to,d me I had a room with two beds. They put us in a room and gave us a roll away bed but there wasn't really room in the room for a roll away. That was frustrating.
I liked the hotel. Overall a great hotel and staff.
I was told that I got the gym for free when I arrived and after using the gym I got charged. Was not happy to see that. Also when room was cleaned we did not get new towels.
Good overall experience
Would have liked to had faster service at front desk.
The Location The large pool art deco
Very noisy heating system. I had to shut it down even if the outsite temperature was -18 degree centigrade.
Aww staff Great location
1) we paid wifi and does't work, only on one divace - second and laptop doesn't. Heater in the room is sooooo toooo loud. We had to turn off over the night, because we can't slept - in the morning was in the room only 62F and around the window frames were ice!!!
I didnt like that it cost $65 to oark my car over night.
Not enough staff working. Waited over 20 minutes to check in with only one person working the front desk. Checked in at 5:00 and the room was still not ready.
I liked the older part of the hotel verses the newer. It was a classy hotel.
The only part I didn't like was the wait at the front desk checking in or to ask questions always a wait.
Excellent location and facility. The staff and accommodations were fantastic. What a great old art deco building with a great bar and restaurants.
Nice size room
No dresser to put clothes away, only a closet
Nice entrance. Quick check in. Great location in the heart of Chicago.
Ceilings had water damage. Not enough drawer space. Dirty night stand. Bell hop didn't offer to help with bags.
The elevators were very slow which led to them being full so that we had to wait many times for an available elevator.
Great location as very accessible to shopping & sight seeing!! Awesome beds slept great!! Great help from consineers for restraunts!! Will come again!
Slowness waiting on elevators & Michael's bar drinks not the best
-Location -pool (though didn't use) -front desk person gave me free wifi which was very nice -Starbucks attached -cheaper child rate for breakfast buffet -next time will opt for including breakfast -not very informative staff. No interactive channel on tv. Everything just basic. -Some dude walked in my hotel room even though my door was locked and said "Oh I'm sorry!" and scurried off. Scared the heck out of me!!! Kept room double locked.
-No jacuzzi -only has a wine/cheese restaurant and michael jordan's steakhouse during day/evening. All mj items have some sort of bacon/pork in it and if they don't they smell of bacon/pork. Fries are fried in beef fat. Yuck. Very expensive. -Breakfast items/breakfast bar all (supposed to be)warm food was cold -very expensive breakfast items -seemed to be the only starbucks in Chicago and therefore all of Chicago was in line, no food left in Starbucks -long check in line -some dude walked in my hotel room even though my door was locked and said "Oh I'm sorry!" and scurried off. Scared the heck out of me!!! Kept room double locked. -Above all: no safe!!! Had to keep all my electronics / valuables with me the whole trip! Was very inconvenient. Was shocked there was no safe.
Room service was great. The location was good!
They need to get new management at this hotel. I read the reviews and they all share the same complaints. Rooms small, uncaring staff, slow service. They do not bring up your car when you need it even though they charge $65 a day for parking. You can not reach the front desk from the room phone. I can go on all day. Will never stay here again!
I liked the location on Michigan. Room service was very good. They were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean.
The size of the rooms were very small. I booked a superior double bed room. They argued that I ordered a average room when on the site I booked there were no average double rooms listed only superior double beds. The staff on the phone acted like you were bothering them when you called for help. We come to Chicago frequently and would not stay here again. We booked three rooms which were all very small, there was hardly room for the small chair they had in the room. They need to update their website the rooms are very different from what is on their site.
Quite and relaxing. Shopping and eating was accessible by walking.
Wi-Fi wasn't free?! This is the information age. Parking was $65 per night. Uber made money this weekend. The refrigerator was full of products for sale. No room for my leftovers.
Great location. Walk to everywhere Eataly was awesome. Maragritas around the corner...so good!!!
Location Breakfast inclusive Indoor pool
Rooms in Tower section are small, suggest upgrade to larger rooms in the historical section as I did.
We chose this hotel because it was close to the three things we wanted to see in Chicago: the Field museum (about 10-minutes driving); Eataly (5-minutes walk); and Museum of Contemporary Art (5-10-minutes walk). There are a lot of closeby restaurants, as well.
Nothing! The stay was excellent. It felt very private and was pretty quiet. I would suggest that people park at public parking instead of hotel. Price-wise, the difference is $20 a day; distance-wise, it is only a few blocks away from the hotel.
