Gorgeous facility, easy walk to the plaza, lovely large king room, great seating area and balcony.
for the price it would have been nice to have free wi-fi.
Paying for WiFI expect it as standard now days!
Good location. Beutuful building. Staff very good.
Problems with my reservation. Pool closed despite 85 degree weather.
We spontaneously stayed for a weekend to just chill. It was perfect. Lovely view of the pool and the plaza. There was live music near the pool, a gentleman playing classic rock and other songs with a Caribbean sound. We sat right next to him but I could still read my book. The mature plantings around the pool completely cut off the street and it feels private. Excellent breakfasts and superb waitstaff. We remembered one staff member from a previous stay. This is a very quiet hotel. We have never been disturbed by too much sound from the hallway or another room, and that's important to us.
The beds, parking, air conditioning in the public spaces. Value for the money. Old hotel.
The bugs that was in my room surrounding my lights then they wouldn't accommodate me to the same type of room I paid for then I was supposed to be refunding my stay and recharged my american express for $374.00 I will never stay there again n would never recommended anyone else to stay there euther
My room was invested with bugs
Location is great, nice facility!
Continental b'fast just very average. Wait for a table was slow
We loved the extra amenities organized by the staff for our anniversary and my birthday, the always friendly and willing staff from food servers to the front desk to housekeeping staff. We can't wait to oh back! Beautiful view of Plaza was always enjoyed. We loved the well lighted and convenient parking garages as well
No problems here.
The location on the Country Club Plaza is excellent. Nicely appointed and comfortable bar area.
Needs updating. The carpets in the halls are worn and need cleaning. Wallcoverings need replacement. There are hotels in the area that are better values with nicer rooms.
Location size of room
V small and dangerous balcony
Plaza view and being in the middle of activity
Add on fees and room rate makes this hotel not a "value" stay.
The room was fabulous! The lanai was a real treat. Everyone was very helpful.
Great hotel at the best corner of the KC Plaza. VERY generous room, amazing walk-in closet, large bathroom, comfortable bed. The lobby provided a great meeting place, with an outdoor patio and pool that was gorgeous! Liked the entire package...
Everything was EXTRAORDINARY! We will be back. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay a memorable one. VIP Lounge is worth the extra, great food, appetizers and breakfast.
Firm mattress, down pillows
Friendliness of staff, and how they made you feel like VIP.
Properly run 5 star hotel
Vacant cupboard where the mini bar used to be....ridiculous for a top end hotel.
Old coffee maker No Fridge Old telephone Old carpet
Location was excellent staff was amazing
views were hit or miss depending on side of hotel - we had a view of parking lot
Superb staff from valet, bell hop, front desk, bar and dining room, excellent location walking distance to the plaza area of KC, large well appointed room and great wi-fi.
The nice man that valet parked my car has been at the hotel since 1972. That was so nice to hear. The bar was nice, we had a lovely breakfast in the Oak Room. We didn't interact much with the staff minus the car man. Our room was lovely and spacious with a view of the Plaza. We were able to walk everywhere. It was a beautiful anniversary trip.
One of the best food with free breakfast.
Toothpaste and brush was not included.
The staff went above and beyond. They were excellent. Location to Plaza was great. Breakfast at Oaks restaurant was wonderful. Our room was large with a great view.
The room looked a tad tired...bed's dust ruffles were too long and hanging all over; our bath towels hanging in shower were fraying; the air vents were filled with dirt/dust; we had to call for a fan to make enough noise to cover the sounds of the poor little puppy crying in the room next to us while we tried to go to sleep; our room did NOT have a simple refrigerator...had a place for it; In a hotel that is over $200 /night, I would think amenities such as this would be included. We were told someone could bring one up for us. =-( The bathroom was stocked with bare essentials of shampoo, conditioner & lotion...nothing special or additional...The electric mirror did not work. Someone needs to be going through rooms once a month to evaluate needs for updates. Hate to complain...but for being one of the more expensive hotels in KC...should expect more.
The staff at the front desk were great!
TV and remote poor quality No fridge or microwave No fan in bathroom No recliner, only one chair for two guests
