On the parade route. Viewing stand.
They charged $75 per person to use the viewing stand. Huge cockroach in hallway for 3 days. Tried to charge me for mini bar items that I didn't get.
Restaurant food was good. Variety, service and taste. Coffee at the bar was excellent. Location (esp during Mardi Gras) was brilliant. Concierge was also brilliant.
Made to feel second rate by the barman when he told me I was occupying "prime real estate" during Mardi Gras and not drinking what others were, nor as much. Check in staff also made little or no effort to inform me of the goings on during Mardi Gras they even forgot to give me wrist bands to let me back in the hotel.

On the parade route
I booked on booking.com a room with two double beds . When I went to check in I was told the room would only have a king size bed. I explained that was not what I wanted and had I known I wouldn't of booked the hotel stay.
Walking distance to French quarter and other attractions, located next to the street car line and taxi stand right in front of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, enjoyed the full breakfast.
Booked the room for 2 adults and 2 children (up to 19) with breakfast but at check in, was told that breakfast is only for two. Had to speak to the manager next day to get it corrected. Highly recommend having a print out of the booking confirmation with you. The rooms were very clean but the AC vent and plumbing was noisy. The pool was under repair but it was not mentioned at the time of booking. A big disappointment since the kids were looking forward to it. The hotel just didn't seem to live up to the standard of other similarly priced hotels.

I love the decorations of the lobby. The rooms it self a 10. I have stayed in many hotels in New Orleans. This one has been sold. Will stay there in just a few weeks from now.

Decor and staff was great.
First room was not clean. Second room was cleaner but missing stuff from mini bar and had no balcony. Overall I enjoyed our night but was a little disappointed.

Asked for a quiet room specifically and received a room on the streetcar line. Beds need more than two tiny pillows Had to ask for bathrobes

Construction going on, very loud, they charged my credit card twice so I couldn't use it for anything.
Did not have a room for us even tho we had reservations for 2 months. Check in receptionist was very rude and never apologized for us not having a room available. Waited forever and were finally told they would put a rush order into clean a room and would call us by 4pm when it was ready. After 6pm we finally called them and they had no explanation to why we were never called bc it had been ready. Tried to speak to the manager but he was too busy. Had to call twice to get our luggage to our room. Was a bad first day! Rest of the stay was fine.

I wasn't advised that this property was under renovation during my time of stay. Jack hammering over my room started at 8 am on Saturday morning and lasted all day, til 4:30. Worst hotel experience ever in New Orleans.

Service was mediocre and health club was dated. Entry under construction.
We were greeted upon arrival by a great team of valets. The rooms were as advertised for layout and the beds were extremely comfortable, so much so that I will be researching what type of mattresses they use. Location to Bourbon St. and the tour routes is convenient-just a couple blocks off Canal St.
At check-in the young lady was very friendly but a little scatter brained about programming the room cards, we had 3 rooms. It took 2 trips up and down the elevators to finally get the room cards correct. 1/2 of the channels on the TV did not have sound. Common hallways had a light scent of urea-think litter box, rooms were fine.

The hotel under construction so it's painfully from 8 am to 4 pm. When I complain that I shold now about this when I made reservation they told me that booking . Com now about it and the manager in duti offer me free lunch in very low profile way. It's unprofessional
