the girl at the front desk was very nice
the first room we went to smelled horrible the second room wasn't much better the location is awful unless you like having a strip shopping center wrapped around your country inn ...
We happened on the Inn by chance. I looked for something at a convenient distance from downtown Seattle. I didn't realize then that the distance was across the Puget Sound. It turned out for the best. We left the car on the island and commuted by ferry to downtown, which takes half an hour. The ferry has a restaurant, so we had breakfast going in in the morning, a glass of wine coming back in the afternoon. The Inn was fine. Clean, good beds, good service, good location with restaurants and stores nearby. But the communication with downtown Seattle earns the star.
Staff was nice
Everything old and worn, beds old, pool was dirty, hot tub not working
Wifi, breakfast, A/C
The owners are clearly over owning this property and don't mind showing it. They are disengaged and unfriendly.
Check in and out was easy. We booked at last minute so appreciated just having a place to sleep.
The room smelt like pee, there were obvious stains on the old, worn out carpet.
Inexpensive compared to Seattle prices and just a 35 minute ferry ride. Good location and amenities near by.
Hot tub 'under renovations'(tarp) not actually been worked on for long time looking at the garbage and dirty water in the bottom. Breakfast area small. Business Computer in lobby out of order.
Spent two nights at the Island Country Inn. The room was large and quite comfortable. Not really modern, but clean and had what I needed. Breakfast was a help-yourself to bagels, yoghurt and cereal, and bake your own waffle - which was wonderful. Coffee free flowing in the lobby. Staff were very helpful; when I realized I had left a file behind, they were more than helpful in getting a courier company to pick it up and send it to me.
Slightly old rooms.
nice selection of TV channels, appeared fairly clean, the staff were very nice.
beds were smaller than advertised, walls were a little thin, was a stain on the bed had to get it changed.
We had a hard time finding the location initially.
Booked because this was only place that had a pool on Bainbridge. Arrived and was told pool had been closed for 2 years. I asked them to cancel our reservation; we found a place in Pousbo instead. They said it was fine that we cancelled and helped us locate a place with a pool. Upon returning from the trip, I checked my bank account and THEY CHARGED US ANYWAY. After several phone calls, THE OWNER REFUSED TO REFUND THE CHARGE.
Large room. Granite counters and updated decor.
Hard, lumpy pillows. Need to update bedding.
Tired property. Need to invest in TV,pool, beds, toilets
The rooms were clean, and a nice size.it was close to the main part of town with free parking.
The breakfast was pretty limited.
I liked the location on Bainbridge Island.
The first room we were assigned smelled heavily of smoke. They re- assigned us to another room. We asked to be allowed to cancel our reservation without being charged but were told that they could not because of Bookings.com. The heater was extremely poor....they offered a space heater. The blankets, pillows and bedding for the worn out pull out couch felt old and dirty. This experience has left me without trust for Bookings.com because we did not just fail to show up but were dissatisfied with the level of the room but were still told that we would be charged for the night even if we did not stay. The charge was extremely too high compared to another clean place where we could have stayed for the night. This was a bad vacation night!!! This was a bad way to spend vacation money. Evelyn Murray
The location was good
We had been upgraded to the king suite due to maintenance issues. WE were excited to hear that until we went into the suite. The ceiling in the bathroom was leaking so much that the washcloth on the counter was soaked. It was also strange that there was no TV in the bedroom. The couch and carpet looked dirty and not too appealing to sit on. The bed was comfy though!
Slightly the best of the 4 quite good hotels I've recently stayed in in the Poulsbo-Bainbridge Is. area. Best breakfast of the four - best value with booking.com special - and very friendly staff. Convenient to Seattle ferry.
Like just about every other hotel in this area, it's located in or beside a shopping mall - but it's quiet nonetheless.
Courteous staff, relaxed atmosphere, convenient location, very comfortable bed.
Lack of microwave/fridge in room.
Free Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable.
Toilet and bathroom sink were not clean.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating, especially in working with me to find a fragrance free room (had to look at quite a few). Everything was clean and nice. A good value.
Location was nice and even though we were 2 hrs early for check in we were able to get into our room which was nice.
The room we stayed in felt dirty. Just like it hadn't been cleaned in quite sometime, there was dust on the lights. Which I have bad allergies so it made for a long one night stay. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. There was a mattress pad put on top of the actual bed I'm assuming to make the bed more comfortable but all it did was slide around all night.
