The lobby eating area was quite nice.
The pictures on booking.com site show this as a nice large, comfortable room with comfortable sitting areas and there is none of that. Very uncomfortable for sitting around. (an old hard wooden chair and a bench with a foam mat on it.
Warm welcoming reception.
It was perfect would have loved to have more than one fire log a day but otherwise perfect.
No table and only one chair. (But a folding chair was just outside the door.)
Tiles in the bathroom were not attached
The enter net has a place that looks very nice, But when you get there it has changed. The rooms are old and out dated. The step are poor and need a face lift. The pool and hot tub are bad.
the location, not much else.
the whole experience, beds needed upgrading, really un- comfortable, rooms appeared dingy & not looked after well. we booked for 3 nights, checked out after 1st night. however staff were good, very helpful refunded remaining nights , no problem.
Comfortable bed. Couch that didn't sag when I sat on it. Comfortable.
2nd floor was more like 1.5 floors up. Some noise early in the evening. Breakfast didn't start till 7. We left at 6:30 to catch the ferry
musty smell in room, smokers everywhere ....needs a major update...its just tired
A bit run down
Nice view of the water. Fireplace with lightable log a nice touch. Pleasant recetionist. Breakfast ok. Town is an interesting harbour town. We found a floating boat show at the Cap Sante marina.
Place more dated than I expected. Room seemed dark. Breakfast area cramped.
We are a return customer but this time we had our older dog with us. I unwittingly booked a second story room but our dog could not negotiate the staircase. Upon request the hotel staff graciously allowed us to relocate to a first level room which made our stay much easier. Plus the warm bread loaf in the morning was delicious. Thank you again all so much for a great stay.
They upgraded me to a KING suite! It came with a fireplace and the pool and hot tub were very nice after a long day of travel
Staff very friendly and gave me so good recommendations (also telling me what was not worth doing) that I stayed 3 days instead of one.
shower temperature fluctuations
Our room had somewhat of a nice view. The street noise was loud. The room was fairly clean. The bedding was nice and so were the various condiments such as shampoo and soaps.
The motel is old and in need of restoration. The shower in our room borders on dangerous. The hot water was very hard to adjust and could readily scald a person taking a shower. The shower controls and shower head should be replaced. Our bed was miserable. The mattress was way too uncomfortable and we almost left to go home if it wasn't so far away. Our door number was falling off the door. The whole establishment could do with some major tlc.
We had a great overnight stay. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast.
Cost, pet friendly
Pool was a bit dirty
The location was good. . . not too far from the ferry dock. The staff was extremely helpful.
The breakfast coffee was terrible and the "free" breakfast was mainly packaged carbs. The room was adequate but left a lot to be desired.
We were close to downtown, shopping, restaurants and the marina. Loved the idea of a fireplace in the room even though it was too warm to light a fire.
It would be great if breakfast was served until latest checkout time.
A little dated
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Lena helped us locate an address our GPS couldn't & was amazingly efficient & kind when we later experienced a medical emergency. She even co-piloted us to the emergency ward. We are so grateful to Lena and the two guests who provided first aid.
Though clean, our room was dark and much in need of a renovation --fresh paint, new bed & floor coverings, complete bathroom update.
The size of the room was great. The in-room coffee was plentiful. Obviously the owners have tried to make the motel comfortable, but it is a very old property and there is only so much you can do with it.
The mattress wasn't comfortable. I have sleep apnea and need to use a C-Pap machine. There were no plugs on the wall near the bed. I had to find an extension cord, which thankfully the motel provided.
quiet friendly clean
hot tub crashed
