Close to the boardwalk.
Air conditioner hard to adjust and very noisy. One bed unable to sllep on, uneven. Smoker next door opening and closing the door throughout the night, interrupting sleep. Rough toilet paper.
There was nothing to like about this place. He fooled me with his friendliness but then when problem after problem started he got nasty.
When we first got into the room we looked around and it wasn't clean but decided to make the best. We cleaned up what we could. All of the dish's in the cabinets had food on them from who knows. That night we went to go to bed but couldn't because the bedroom had ants all over the floor, night stand, and dresser so I'm assuming they were in the beds too. So we decided to sleep in the third bed in the room where there were no ants. We woke up the next morning and the first thing I see running across the bed was a bed bug. Needless to say but we checked out.
Quarters consisted of a large bedroom with 2 king beds and a living room with a full bed and a sleeper sofa. Thus the sleeping situation suited our family (consisting of my wife, me and my 3 college aged daughters) almost perfectly. The kitchen which included a stove, cabinet space and a full size refrigerator allowed us to get groceries for the week and prepare a number of meals in the room--which allowed us to save money on food during our stay. The pool and hot tub were nice accessories and my wife and daughters spent a lot of time at the pool. Most impressive was the motel's proximity to the boardwalk and beach. We were a short 1 block walk from the boardwalk and beach. Indeed, we could see the boardwalk from the balcony outside our room.
Upon arrival we were informed by the desk clerk that we would have to pay extra because our daughters were not considered children. It was late in the evening when we arrived; we were tired and just wanted to unload our luggage, check in, take showers and rest. I believe the desk clerk understood our situation and took advantage to increase the rate. Significantly, when we booked the room, we indicated that there would be five family members staying at the motel. We arrived as a family of 5 so I did not understand why our rate was increased. In addition, the full size bed on which my wife and I slept was not as comfortable as we would have liked. Overall our stay was pleasant--we had a good time--the motel was a good value and we would stay here again.
Elevator always broken, had to take 3 flights of stairs all the time was a problem for someone handicap in my family.
Very loud ghetto people there. Wouldnt stay again. The pool was so crouded with obnoxious kids an adults that my kids couldnt even swim. The picture showed a stove and a private balcony wich I got neither
the pool & hot tub & the view of the 'lightshow' on the ferris wheel on Morey's Pier from our room & the close proximity to both the boardwalk AND to a Wawa store!
the 'pillows' were flat & useless.....the mattress uncomfortable....& one of the beds had a VERY LUMPY mattress!.....the back bedroom was stuffy/hot even with the air conditioner (which was totally NOISY!) going in the front room.....& lack of electrical outlets
the pool and the jacuzzi
That kids couldn't go in the game room. The elevator broke and a host of other things
View of pool, ice, close to boardwalk(Moray's Pier),
Lots of unknown hair on blow dryer, beds rock hard stuffing falling out, no 1st floor rooms hard carrying bags up/down
Our room was sweet! 2 kings, one double- 2 rooms- full size fridge, microwave, tv in both rooms, a/c was on and the room temp was very comfortable for staying at the beach temperature wise, and amenity wise. Plenty of drawer space to put our things. Maintenance personnel was always walking around checking things, making sure they worked. Pool was nice- we stayed in hot tub most of the time, that was relaxing after walking all day on the boards. We were close to the at arcades, and shops on the boards. Staff was excellent! We will definitely stay here again :)
The bathroom vent sounded like it was going to fly out of the wall at times, also my husband went out and bought electrical power strips so he could plug his gadgets in- there weren't too many outlets in the room. Also, my husband has a broken leg, and the elevator was out for one night- nobody's fault, but we had a room on the 4th floor, so getting him up to our room was a chore. The management was very apologetic, offered to call someone to help carry him, but we made it. I will stay here again in the future.
This was my second stay with my granddaughter and one of her friends. I only live about 40 minutes away in Egg Harbor Township, but we had two day tickets for Morey's. Morey's rides are a little more exciting than OC's. This motel is fine for the three of us we all have our own bed and there is a kitchen area for snacks, etc.
Great location and easy access to beach and activities.
Old rooms. No A/C in bedroom so we had to run the living room A/C on full blast all night long and leave bedroom door open to keep the bedroom cool at night. Table lamp in bedroom didn't work either. Only 2 luggage dollies in entire place & we had to wait 15-20 to use one.
The pool was very dirty, did not get wi-fi signal.
The outside pool area was ok. There is a grill you can use which is nice.
The staff of 2 were not friendly. The elevator smelled like tons of bug spray. There was a microwave as advertised but no outlet to plug in. The beds are on wood platforms. I was glad I brought a can of Lysol and my own pillowcase. Wouldn't go back.
Everything except reception people. They were trying to do best but overall not good place for the money
I liked my stay at this motel but I think the price is a lil high for the quality. I enjoyed the pool with my family and it was very close to the boardwalk.
I didn't like the fact that all the furniture was old and outdated.
close to boardwalk and beach price
made me wait till exactly till 3pm to check in
staff and location
Motel was old and outdated. Roof leaked, wireless did not work in room and very slow outside. Beds not comfortable. Overall just not good
Floors were filthy in rooms, sand all over even after they were "cleaned" Staff was not helpful at all; took 6 hours and 3 requests to have someone unclog the toilet
Wi-Fi, large refrigerator
Rooms needed major repairs, room door lock was a joke, kitchenette was of no use, hot tub was filled with kids, but when my grandchildren went in, they were told on one under 18 years old, ( I guess because we are not hispanic or black - they were allowed in)
Pool overtaken by thugs drinking jugs of alcohol and throwing trash cans of water all over each other -couldnt use pool or jacuzzi at all-it was also dirty personal items strewn about the pool - room disgusting- full of ants, toilet seat had deep cracks in it, wires hanging off wall with cords attached, no blankets on beds had to beg staff for them, staff rude, gang graffiti on doors, pot smokers next to us, towels worn, small, and so thin they didn't even dry you. Left a day early due to our disgust and staff didn't even ask why???? Would recommend not booking this dump!
- The size of the rooms - Rear balcony
The brochure and the on line description of our room boasted 2 king beds in the bedroom and a full plus a sofa bed in the front room. In fact, there was no sofa bed and the 2 king beds were queen. The a/c was loud and inefficient and never made it into the bedroom. There was no exercise we could find, and the continental breakfast was lacking eye appeal and taste. The elevator was slow and sometimes didn't work at all. Both rooms were extremely bright at night - the vertical blinds did nothing to block out the light. There were no comfortable chairs to sit in and the a/c was so loud we couldn't hear the tv in the front room, especially since the volume didn't go up. The pool hours were all wrong - they should have been 8am to 10 pm, not the opposite. We had a thunder storm on our last night and our room flooded from under the door and from above. All-in-all, a poor experience. We will not stay there again.
The size of the rooms were awesome. The staff was very accomadating. The rooms were clean but needed some updating.
The wifi was very slow. The pool was overcrowded and rowdy. It was not conducive for young children. I didnt feel safe with the children in the pool. The rooms could use some updating. The water pressure could be better.
Location to boardwalk
Beds are on plywood
Had enough space for our large family
Staff was very friendly, especially those who checked us in. Pool was a good size.
Beds were very uncomfortable and smelled. Cleaning staff were terrible all week. They only cleaned the toilet, never cleaned anything, inlcuding the coffee maker they provide, the table for eating, or the microwave. Pool rules are not enforced, giving way to late parties and lots of noise late into the night. Water pressure is terrible and constantly wavers between scalding hot and very cold. Air conditioner doesn't work well, so the back room got no air, which is where my kids slept. The lamp shade was shredded in the front room, the table leg was broken, and the back room TV had lines across it. This place is a dump.
