veeeeery bad internet connectivity veeeery poor breakfast

Great location very helpful staff

Wi fi and Internet access was very bad and unfortunately the kitchen is being remodeled so restaurant not porn for lunch or dinner weekend brunch was way overpriced for what they served

Everything was great. Quiet room, nice location, attentive staff, and all that for more than a reasonable number of dollars. Would recommend everyone.

The location is great. "Hanah" at the front desk was extremely helpful.

The close proximity to Central Park, easy access to tourist bus routes. Good choice of local eateries to suit all budgets. The staff at the hotel excellent.

Rattling air conditioning, maybe just our room 643 grouting around bath need replacing.

The location was absolutely superb, the center of the City and Central Park at your feet! The staff were diligent in our requests and very friendly at EVERY level. We could not be more pleased with our stay at the Essex House. Absolutely terrific!

Location was spot on... Room was fantastic.... Anything smaller than a King Room is a rip off Patrick the Duty Manager is a Gem!

Had a horrible check in experience... Requested a late check in... Got into hotel at midnight... Was checked in very quickly.. Got into the room and it was terrible... Booked a king room... Was put in a queen (the size of a closet)... Called reception and check in attendant was very unapologetic and just kept saying, well we are overbooked so you just have to manage the Room and we would give you a $50 discount... After spending $600 a night.. It was insult... Night manager was just as insultive... Luckily met Patrick (Duty Manager) next day and was able to sort it all out... Accompanied with a handwritten note and fruit plate expressing his sincere apologies...

I think the price for the breakfast is too high for the food you offered

Location

Poor breakfast facility 1 small 2 slice toaster, very little vegetarian no mushrooms, beans or similar. No bar when private function on which was most of the time. Little or no ambience or atmosphere. All 4 of our rooms had awful views. Having cost 15000 dollars for 5 nights we expected a little more, also virtually impossible to open blinds in windows. No facility for in room tea/coffee making. You could however had a cup delivered which would have cost 18 dollars + tip.

The location is perfect. The room looked pretty and it was comfortable, even if we had absolutely no view out our windows. The enclosed concrete roof view at least gave us quiet at night.

We got a good price from Booking.com so it's hard to complain. The staff was repeatedly unresponsive to our requests. The gym is mediocre. This hotel wasn't up to the jw designation. Just a typical Marriott.

the staff were friendly and helpful. michael, the Concierge was enthusiastic and wonderful. Gave great recommendations.

We changed 2 times the room because of noise, there was nobody to clean the room,in total- very chaotic! Many people, very friendly but not good in their business!!

Great room with 2 double beds. We shared room with our 14 yr old son. Roomy. Great location fir theatre an shopping.

Rm stated breakfast included then charged us for another adult. Breakfast very expensive.

The concierge Kevin Owens was THE BEST!

Your staff was commendable. Very courteous, professional and helpful. I also want to single out Cezar Vasquez. He was excellent in how my family was handled. Kudos to the team!
