Bathroom is very basic - noisy at night (back of building) - Kitchen smell in the evening - Internet performance not very good. Wifi / Bluetooth jamming?
The room was so small that the two of us had to get out of the way when we needed to pass each other.
The room fittings were fine but now more. For an expensive park view suite, not that impressive. Breakfast is overpriced. Sofabed was uncomfortable, even for young children.
The location and lobby area were grand.
Great location for shopping and sightseeing (city tour buses stop right outside the hotel). Perfect for families with children as Central Park offers several play grounds and a little Zoo to visit. A lot of good cafees, restaurants and delis in the area. Luxurious hotel with professional and accomodating staff.
Outstanding personal service
Unfortunately on our last night water leaked into our room and we had to move during the night to another room .
Great location , friendly staff , Classic Decor .
Fantastic "heritage" hotel, with many retained original features. Great location next to Central Park.
Minor issue with restaurant staff that was not accommodating. Resolved by the front desk manager who had to intervene.
Excellent location and the room was spectacular.
However some facilities are a little bit old and inconvenient.
Location is great. Old and nice style. Good customer service.
Cost of breakfast.
Loved the staff. The concierge staff was AMAZING!!! Very helpful, great recommendations. Great location.
- Staff too busy serving customers they have already known - No swimming pool - Not update to date bathroom facilities
- The view is worth it although we went there during winter - The location is great with good source of taxi and subway - Walkable distance to MoMA
The views of Central Park from our room . The staff were amazing !!!
The location, the room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful
The wifi was confusing and one staff said I had to purchase it while another said different and I never was able to log on. The breakfast was great but a but too pricy. The bathroom sink is a bit weird with handles on end of sink which get the floor wet and bathtub was a chipped paint on parts
The beds are super comfortable. And the presentation and lobby are lovely. Location is great!
No in room tea/coffee making facilities. Coffee in restaurant not good. These days so easy to have a Nespresso or equivalent.
Location. Room. Space. Cleanliness
Location & staff
My first room was on a floor where a guest was smoking extraordinary amounts of pot and cigarettes. Checking in took too long.
The lobby is nice, and bed was very comfortable.
Smal room, old and warn.
No coffee in the room
Location , facilities , spacious rooms Great friendly staff
room very small staff friendly
Only complaint, the charge for WiFi.
The hotel is a NYC landmark. Marriott keeps it in impeccable shape. The lobby, elevators, and rooms are superb. Our bed was among the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The bar/restaurant is fine, but there are better options in the area -- except if it's pouring rain as it was for us, and then you will be glad it's there. The staff is wonderful.
All staff were very friendly and helpful The location is AWESOME. It overlooks Central Park skate park, boulders, etc. We could see them even from our side windows room that was on the back of the building.
