Location , facilities , spacious rooms Great friendly staff
No coffee in the room
room very small staff friendly
The hotel is a NYC landmark. Marriott keeps it in impeccable shape. The lobby, elevators, and rooms are superb. Our bed was among the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The bar/restaurant is fine, but there are better options in the area -- except if it's pouring rain as it was for us, and then you will be glad it's there. The staff is wonderful.
Only complaint, the charge for WiFi.
All staff were very friendly and helpful The location is AWESOME. It overlooks Central Park skate park, boulders, etc. We could see them even from our side windows room that was on the back of the building.
The beds are ok, but need the dust from head board gone.
Paid over 560usd per night, gave me no view except a brick wall from my window. No coffee maker in room and lights were very dim, no bottle of water. Staff were not very caring that I wanted a room with a view especially when it was requested before check in. Service at breakfast was lacking personalised service. I had to get my own coffee as everyone else had there own pot of coffee. Internet was 17usd... and didnt work very well from my secluded end of the hall way behind 2 doors room (with dungeon view) dusty corners in the room made my son sneeze every 15 minutes. I chose this hotel based on it being "the marriot" but I will stay in other hotels in the area that are either more expensive on the same street or half the price 1 block back. I travel the world endlessly and to fly from australia, hongkong, los angelas then Lima and Santiago to stay here was a big mistake. Business traveller or young family, please spend your money somewhere else where they will at least appreciate you more. Regards Ex Hotelier G.J.Warne
The room is spacious, and staff is excellent , the bed is comfortable, very clean and beautiful , top of the line, Love the rooms.
The dinner menu was not good, need improvement, also the breakfast offered should include pancakes for kids like mine.
The location of this hotel is outstanding. The people working in the hotel were always helpful and friendly. Cannot fault anything about the accommodation or the service.
The cost of the breakfast can mount up if you have not included it when booking. That said, it was a nice breakfast.
The size of the room - and bathroom!!!! Terrific location.
The built in cabinets in the bedroom need a face- lift
I like a well maintained older property with character....this hotel fits that description. The location is good, across from Central Park but close enough to walk to Times Square and Theaters. Staff was great. Bed was comfortable.
Our rooms did not have a view and were a little noisy with nearby construction and mechanical equipment running.
Hotel perfectly located and is a high standard hotel. Staff friendly and rooms more than adequate for a New York hotel
Silly.but they were shooting a TV programme on the Monday morning. That seemed to take significant presidence over hotel guests. Whilst i understand that they have time limitatations etc I found it iritating.
Old tired decor bath sink & shower. Changed towels but not duvet covers. Extortionate mini fridge, poor value breakfast, & disappointed with having to pay for wifi. Poor view from room.
Never staying here the staff had attitude issues paid $800 for New Years eve biggest rip off ever.
I liked the room view - it was great to wake up in the morning and have the park view. The restaurant on ground flour had a nice ambiance and good drinks. location was good.
I saw a cat laying down in the hallway on my room floor. I didn't like the fact that there was no coffee/tea machine in my room. Also I stayed twice at the hotel.. the first time I had a nice fruit basket in my room but not the next stay despite the fact that i paid more money the next time for the same room.
The room was spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable
No kettle or tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Didn't appreciate being asked to finish our ( expensive) drinks in the lobby when we were told the bar would be open
For the most part, the staff was very friendly. The location was unbeatable, and
The valet was disrespectful and rude. My bathtub wouldn't drain. And missed a breakfast with friends while they fixed it, having not put it back together totally by the time we left 3 days later.
location is great as long as you enjoy horse and buggy ride, shopping at mall in Columbus Circle, going to Central Park and all the many places of great foods in the pubs and restaurants!
Wifi for $?? Did not want to let us leave our luggage for few hours!
CONVENIENT UPSCALE RELAXING BEAUTIFUL GREAT LOUNGE GREAT STAFF
CHECKING OUT WOULD HAVE STAYED LONGER ........
Run down a bit
Doormen didn't help with opening door when I had packages nor did they help push the revolving doors.
amazing location in NYC even if you don't have a room with views, a request in your booking is recommended. Staff were very kind and friendly with us.
I usually have travelled around USA. I think that this hotel don't deserve its 5 stars. We feel shame about wifi daily fees and breakfast price. An advice, Very close of the hotel there are many nice places to have breakfast at regular prices. Rooms seems clean at first sight but surely not. My Symptoms Of allergic rhinitis to dermatophagoides appeared again after 5 years.
Views over Park Bar
Décor is dated
Central Park view from the room was truly a New York experience.
Charging for WiFi with such high room rates was disappointing.
