The rooms were large and the decor was warm and friendly. The provision of firewood for the fireplace was nice. I also liked the fact that some food and coffee, tea and cocoa and basic spices were available. It was a quiet place and aside from the remoteness it was relaxing and met our expectations. The beds were not comfortable and were low to the floor. They were adequate though. Also there were a large number of dead wood roaches probably due to spraying insecticide.

The hot water was slow to turn hot. There were raccoons or some other type of nocturnal rodent living in the ceiling which kept me and my daughter awake. Many of the light bulbs didn't work. There was no one around to complain to. I also would've liked to charge my room on a different credit card but the business office is closed on the weekends.

Location Food at the restaurant was terrible. Green beans were soggy, salad was inedible. We went to another place after Saturday night. We tried to eat again the morning we left, but there was NO service and little selection. The room was not well maintained. Curtain rod was tied up, closet door was not hung. Curtain panels were not matched. Heater in upstairs unit made a lot of noise and bothered us a bunch. After two days, I complained about it at the office and the problem was resolved. I couldn't complain at the office because it was closed and I forgot it after one night, but I quickly remembered it on the second night. I would not stay here again. The setting is beautiful and close to the Kancamagus Highway.

The privacy of our condo; the views of the mountains from our rooms and while walking around the resort. Also the buffet meals were well presented and delicious.
