Central yet quiet location with easy access to buses 1 and 10 and the shops in Fillmore St. Characterful Edwardian "B & B" with spacious public areas and bedrooms with comfy armchairs. Home from home feel with opportunity to chat with other guests. Breakfast room accessible 24/7 and decent continental breakfast included. Fair price as San Francisco is a really expensive city in which to stay.
Minor matters: sink in bedroom rather than bathroom and doors that didn't close on latches easily. Lack of tea/coffee making facility in bedroom meant 4am visits to breakfast room only significant disadvantage.
Really quiet area Good restaurants nearby Quick bus or cab ride to pier34 Homey ambiance Really nice staff
I didn't have a car, but I noticed there was only street parking which can be a hassle
Very cozy, quiet and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.
What a great place. We loved our stay here! Strongly recommend the place. Great atmosphere, location was good. It felt like a home away from home.
I have only good things to say ...
Very comfortable room. Shower a bit small, but fine. Nice old house. Very quiet neighborhood. Friendly staff.
The breakfast was a bit skimpy. If you want a full breakfast, it's not. Just muffins, cereal, fruit, and bread. No cooked food.
We like the location and the hotel. Room was very nice.
Breakfast was weak.
We enjoyed our stay but thought it was a bit overpriced. The breakfast room is small but it is a federation home. The staff got in the way a bit when trying to make breakfast.
We enjoyed our stay but thought it was a bit overpriced. The breakfast room is small but it is a federation home. The staff got in the way a bit when trying to make breakfast. Which like neatly all USA hotels they use paper plates and plastic utensils which we found tacky and not good for the environment. As for getting to downtown or Fishermans wharf you have to catch a bus either 7 of 10 mins walk away. But we looked at that as our morning walk. May not suit some.
