Jailhouse Inn  

The history of the Hotel is interesting. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Nice room, modern clean design.

A bit noisy due to a/c unit set into window and restaurant outside.

The staff was very helpful; we had a family emergency which was extremly difficult to deal with and they completely understood.

The website made the room look much nicer than they really were. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have every laid on. There was no central air and the unit was extremely loud. We barely slept the night we were there. For the amount of money it cost to stay we felt the rooms and decor could have been updated. Very outdated.

Excellent Location just out of the main stream but within walking distance of all activities. 3rd Floor Rooms were spacious and the staff was very Friendly. A very nice Breakfast was included in Room rate.

Bathroom was minimal and needed more counter space for two guests.

I enjoyed that it wasnt on the main road (Thames) which can get a bit busy. It was one blcok up which was in perfect walking distance to the major shopping as well as restaurants.

On the booking confirmation there was never mention of limited parking. We were only able to park 1 car and had to pay for parking for the 2nd car for 2 nights. If this was known, I would have planned to only take 1 car. Staff warned us 3 times not to part the 2nd car in the parking lot. We were talked to as if we were college students, instead of 30 year olds.

The breakfast that was included was delicious with lots of things to choose from. It was also nice that they provided wine & snacks in the afternoon. The location was great. We could just park at the Inn and walk to everything.

Sometimes the toilet wouldn't flush. AC was very loud but worked really well so it was OK.

The Jailhouse Inn has a reat location right in Historic Newport. The staff could not have been nicer! The facility is lovely and the room was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

The room we had faced the back of a pub/restaurant and therefore was a bit loud in the evening...Nothing that would keep you awake, but still when you want to sleep...any noise is a disruption. This room was also on the main floor, so if you stay on theother side of the main floor or upstairs this may be less of a problem.

It was very clean, the staff was great and the location was perfect.

We stayed during off season. Very affordable. Close to all we wanted to do. Shopping & food.

Personnel pas avenant du tout en particulier pour le petit déjeuner, où il est demandé aux clients de desservir eux m^mes ! et la salle n'est pas dimensionnée aux nombres de clients potentiels ! Climatisation bruyante, d'une autre époque...
