Loved the Jailhouse, it was in a perfect location, rooms were nicely done, comfortable beds. Loved having a little refrigerator in the room~!

No AC in the room, it was very stuffy when we first arrived. We were able to open the windows, but there were no screens.

The atmosphere and the staff and the whole idea of it being an old jail

creeky floors and noisy seagulls in the dumpsters at 6 a.m.

The staff was very courteous, friendly, helpful, and informative. The room was great, and the location is right. You have access to a lot of Newport via the Jailhouse Inn. And the parking is easy.

Everything was great, and I would recommend the Jailhouse Inn to anyone who visits Newport.

The location was fantastic and we were welcomed by friendly and accommodating staff! The bed was very comfortable and was the perfect place to rest after a long travel!

the bed was very hard. a foam topper to the mattress would have been nice. we were placed in a handicapped room. i would have preferred a regular room because there was no room for our toothbrush etc on the sink. water for tea should have been hotter.

It was a good location. Room was comfy and spacious. Matress comfortable. Building has lots of character. Free parking a big plus!!!

Situated just a little off the buzz of Newton center, the Jailhouse Inn is a very quiet, friendly and original hotel. We loved our stay there and will no doubt be back again for a longer period

The staff was profesional and courteous. I did mention to two staff members at the front desk that the sign on the building (which has 3 high intensity lamps) had it's lamps lit during the day all day every day. Hopefully the maintenance staff adjusted the timer or cleaned the sensor.

The AC unit in room 10 was inadequate to keep the room at a comfortable level. It labored all day and night.

Very spacious room, staff really nice and helpful, feeling like being home, close to the harbour/bus station/city centre/banks. Nice breakfast.

Unfortunately room stinked like it was not opened for months. It was also really loud in the night due to very old windows. There is no elevator

We had a wonderful weekend at the Jailhouse Inn, and will return to Newport and stay there again next time we need a 'getaway'. No complaints at all. Loved the front porch anytime of day, they offered just enough food in the morning to get you on your way, the staff was delightful, a very quick walk into town for a huge choice of restaurants and shopping, the room we stayed in was real nice and very clean. We were glad they had wi-fi too, I have an Ipad and my husband uses a Kindle Fire, we were both able to relax in the room with our reading devices.

Questa stupenda locanda è in posizione centrale in downtown Newport vicinissima ai warf con ottimi ristoranti e pub. Il personale è competente e gentilissimo. Inoltre è una base per visitare i dintorni compreso Boston, a solo 1 ora di macchina o di treno Noi abbiamo soggiornato per 3 giorni, ma lo ricorderemo sempre

Alles was goed. Wat een leuk hotel om te verblijven. Erg gastvrij, op loopafstand van centrum. Ontbijt oké.

Niets viel ons tegen.

Está bien ubicado, tiene encanto y ofrece todos los servicios: desayuno, parking (si no eres residente no se puede aparcar), wifi y buenas camas.

El precio es un poco caro. Para lo que hay en la zona está bien pero los hoteles en esta parte de usa son caros.

free breakfast was a joke. better goin to mcdonalds. also the family that seemed to own it or manage it took over the small breakfast area and was more concerned about feeding her family than tending to paying guests needs. also just a fyi that meat/cheese platter should be chilled. gross!
