    Friendly & helpful staff. The location was right in Soho 1 block from the Canal street subway. Coffee in the lobby in the morning.

    The bathroom door came off its roller track - my friend was trapped! They got her out. They worked on it - but it was still sticky so we didn't shut it all the way. The TV didn't work until they fixed it. They were Very quick to try and fix problems.

    The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful with any questions we had. Good roof top bar. Good location for shops in Soho and . Broadway. The staff put a birthday cake in our room as it was my partners birthday as a extra surprise. The snacks in reception through the day was a nice touch.

    There wasn't anything we didn't like about the James hotel

    Staff were really friendly and engaged. Room was great Location was great

    Waiting on the elevator - could the 3rd elevator be opened to guests to reduce wait time.

    Complimentary cakes and coffee in the morning.

    Pool area was dirty and had no sunbeds. Disappointing. Dining room / breakfast room - decor really below the overall level of hotel.

    This hotel is a fantastic spot for anyone seeing NY. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The James has an air of relaxed sophistication. We would love to return one day.

    Excellent hotel in general. Free wifi, service generally good. Excellent location in the heart of Soho.

    Room small for the price, some staff a little indifferent but generally good.

    The bellman crews willingness to help w/ directions and parking etc Rooftop bar and view is great!

    There were no dislikes

    Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location in Soho. Very close to subway and easy walking distance to main shopping area. Very clean and modern rooms. Gym was pretty good.

    Rooms are quite small, even by NYC standards.

    roof top bar reception area concierge was very nice

    propeté vraiment besoin de peinture clean up carpet corridor sale for 600+ /night no way at 200 maybe acceptable

    Location is great. My wife was in NY for the 1st time son it was crucial (since we had just a few days) to be close to all the classic interest points. Decoration is great. It also has a great bar with wonderful views of the city.

    The bathrooms although are really fun, lack a bit of privacy.

    I love the location, the style of the hotel, and the rooms. The views from upper floors are fabulous, especially from the rooftop bar and patio.

    It seems that every time I come back the rates keep going up up up. Modern times I guess...

    The hotel was everything I had expected and more for an evening of connection with hubby

    That the booking . Com was deceptive with the amount it would cost , they charge my card an extra $55.00 stating that it was taxes. When my email confirmation states that it was $332.10 that thge extra $55.00 was a hold and it will drop off the bill when I check out .!!!!!!!?!!?!?!

    I liked the view from our room I liked the pool on the roof I liked the snacks supplied in the sky lounge I liked Morgan Cohen who is an excellent concierge

    I really did not like the aggressive manner employed by the pool staff at 3.30pm on a weekend and 5.00pm on weekdays when they ordered us out of the pool and off the sun loungers so they can get ready for their pool parties. In addition - that it was only explained on checking in and not when you book and pay for the hotel.

    Clean hotel, nice decor, good room.

    Very overpriced for what it was -- small, very limited facilities in terms of social spaces, restaurant was quite dark, air conditioning was off the charts - we returned home to a super cold hotel and room every day. When checking in, no one gave us an overview of the facilities.. Good hotel, but for the price, it was not good enough.
