The building our room was in was noisy, the walls paper thin. We heard neighbors across the hall and those above us on 2nd floor. They gave us 2 towels, no bath mat. Bed was uncomfortable and with noise from above and across the hall sleep was not good. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Everything room was like tiny the window was dirty with a bit of tin round the outside on the website it said lake view but you would only been able to see the lake if you had a periscope. The bed linen was old and threadbare towels were passed there sell by date. Apart from that the place was horrible.
Clean Newer building
Broken tv from the 1970s Room so full of unneeded furniture you cant move Staff attitude more involved in their own world than customer needs Booking all messed up 45 minutes first time 20 minutes second time plus phone calls to resolve. Worst bed I have slept on in 20 years, linens so old they had holes worn in them. Bring a mattress topper and your own linens, pillows were cheapest flat things I have ever seen Anything we asked for was broken or they had just run out of.
location was great very close to Yellowstone
needs more parking room small
Great mountain setting located near points of interests. Much more to do on location than expected. International travelers to speak with.
No daily room turn over. Limited restaurant menu. Room decor a bit dated.
The cabin itself was new and very nice. It was great having a small kitchen and a covered porch area. The cabin was very quiet. The proximity to West Yellowstone and the location was good. Nice easy access.
Check-in left a lot to be desired. I felt like an interruption to her putting tags on shirts and she was just there to collect money. Not exactly a warm welcome. Not even a hello. Just "can I help you?". She even seemed surprised I would rent the cabin for four days. Was given no information about the cabin itself, just handed a key. I got the impression they are trying to resurrect this place but the hospitality level is quite deficient and that is not going to help get return visitors. Despite the promise of "satellite TV" when I booked there was none. In fact there was only two "over the air" channels (ABC and Spanish channel) and the ABC channel would blink out half-way through a show and not return. When I returned to the front desk to inquire about TV I was told it had not been hooked up yet but I could sit in the gift shop and watch TV if I wanted. I did not. There was a DVD player and we only found out they had an assortment of movies as we were checking out. Why was this not mentioned on the first day we were there and discovered there was no TV channels. I don't speak Spanish and ABC only worked when it wanted so essentially there was no TV. The cabin is set up for honeymooners (this was not how it was advertised when I booked"). The jet tub is in the living space and there are mirrors on every surface, including the ceiling. There is a loft for additional people but this unit is definitely not set up for bringing the kids or persons you are not fully intimate with so I doubt it will see much use. The bed was basically a wooden platform with just a box spring on it...no mattress! Had this been disclosed I would have brought an air mattress with me. Four days of bad sleep. We threw every available thing we had over the top so we could not feel the springs or listen to them creak every time you move but it was only partially effective. You get one small thin towel and there are no extras...
It was very small and we couldn't put our luggage in the room. It was a room for one person and not two.
This is a beautiful setting. With an investment, this could be a great property.
The room was very small. The double bed was pushed against the wall on one side. The restaurant had four booths and the young man who cooked tried very hard but we received our dinners one at a time for four folks.
The location on a lake was stunning but under utilised. Our room was very comfortable and warm and there were laundry facilities available.
Compared to lots of places we've stayed at this was expensive and isn't include a breakfast. We concluded that his was solely because of it's proximity to Yellowstone. If it was smartened up and made the most of it's lake location with water activities it would command top dollar on it's own merit!
the only thing I can say is that it was fairly clean.
Coffee maker, but no cups for either water or coffee! Only two towels and wash cloths for two people. For two nights, Rooms were not refreshed for 2nd night. No ice! Had to pay $3.00 for ice if we wanted it. Bed spread had big hole on underside!! Mattress bad!
The cabin was great. Lots of room and easy to get to.
There were no dishes or pans. This made the kitchen almost useless.
Friendly staff, beautiful lake environment away from all the busyness of Yellowstone. Clean and relaxing atmosphere.
The towels need to be updated. They were rather thread bare. The food in the restaurant was good but each person was served individually and rather slowly. That could use some improvement but it was also relaxed. We would have preferred a window with a view for the price we paid. We had a basement room.
The location, the nice lodge n°3, the manager Boyd helpfull.
The windows are dirty. Two doors are not closing, the heating not working in the dining room. Not enough warm water for 3 people. But in general we are pleased.
It worked. The room me and my 7 year old son stayed in was small and not much room to move but it was reasonably priced.
After being at Yellowstone Park for 12 hours that day, we drove to Jared's Wild Rose Ranch to check in. It was WAY ABOVE our expectations for the price that we had gotten it. The front desk was super friendly, the room was awesome, and it sits on a beautiful Henrys Lake. I definitely suggest staying here.
Lake and quiet.
No good signs on the hwy 20 from West to East when I try to get the place at night
Great friendly staff.
Was out in the middle of nowhere. Nothing else around. Nothing to do.
Great for fishing, hiking, boating.
Restaurant closed Monday, no cups etc in kitchenette. Towels rough.
The location on the lake.
No Internet connection when we were there. No small fridge. TV with 5 channels. Over priced.
Constant noise Old saggy bed Cheap linen
The place was in a mountain/ kinda country feeling and we loved that. Staff was really friendly and nice. It wasn't what i had booked online. But worked out okay. Would stay there again.
Was disappointed that our room didn't have a sink in the bathroom(weird). And our room key fit the room right next to us, so that rooms key must of also fit ours as well. Concerned about that.
It was clean
couldn't get the fireplace to work. The beds are too hard for our comfort.
the price was good
the room was nice but the place was run down
The folks here are great and accommodating. The ranch is quiet and relaxing. The lake is beautiful too. We appreciated the large sink and counter space in the kitchenette. Easy to find and in a great location for outdoor recreation.
The XS cabin is just that, XS. Be prepared to store your gear in the loft and snuggle up. That said, it works fine for two who enjoy being close.
