|La chouette a mansonville is located in Mansonville. It provides free WiFi access, mountain views and barbecue facilities during the summer season.|
Food in restaurant was very plentiful and good.
The queen room we were in had a fire alarm with a low battery that beeped all night long - lodge staffing seemed few and far between and not awfully interested in accommodating us as new guests. We never found the hot tub until it was too late to use it.
The food was awesome.
The snootiness of the front desk guy
BEST place I stayed on my month long trip to Vermont: from the plush, comfortable, ranch-style lodge hotel room to the roaring fire in the hunting lodge-like dining room & bar. Homey, friendly, prompt (almost Southern-like) service and hospitality. LOVED staying at The Jay Inn, an incredible surprise at a VERY affordable rate.
The restaurant had excellent food
Very cozy Excellent staff and food Quiet ambient Beautiful building
Not a lot
Facility, location and inattentive staff
Rooms are small but exceptionally comfortable. Staff was warm, friendly and made our stay feel like being with old friends. Service was always first rate. There is just nothing to complain about and we will certainly stay at JVI on our next visit.
Can't think of a thing.
Great food in the restaurant
Friendly staff. Clean room.
A bit dated bathroom.
The staff were friendly and helpful, great bar, peaceful location. We did not eat in the restaurant but according to other reviews it appears to be excellent.
It appears to be a very pleasant lodge when you walk in with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The problem is that the rooms are above a very busy and noisy bar and dining room, and the walls are thin! They seem to keep the noise down at night after around 10.30pm but at 7.30am there was outrageously loud music and socialising by the staff! The rooms are in need of some upgrades but we were satisfied for the price we paid, I do think a coffee machine should be provided though. Seems the norm everywhere else. When the wind blows it sounds and feels like the place will fall down! At least from our room it did.
location, food, breakfirst at the swimming pool
rooms upstairs just above kitchen, staff conversations started at 6 am
Get the skillet breakfast :)
Accommodation was not great, but every meal was wonderful!!
The lights outside our room during the whole night! The small shower
Cozy country Inn. Staff very friendly, felt at home. Pool was appreciated on a hot 1st of Sept.
We took an economy room, Which faced the road, and not the quietest! & found the space a bit tight, bathroom especially. Note that as Europeans not shocked!!
Our room was just adequate, but the staff, restaurant and bar were excellent. Above average barbecue, great steaks, fresh salads and vegetables are just a few of the choices on their scrumptious menu. Did I mention the bar? Nice selection of Vermont craft beer and other spirits make the bar a real find too. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area.
Just a couple of notes. Our room didn't have air conditioning. It wasn't really an issue for us as the outside temps were in the mid 60's. Also, if stairs are a challenge, there isn't an elevator. Again that wasn't an issue for us.
Staff Oustanding Food Great Bar & Restaurant Outdoor Pool Comfortable & Cute Rooms
They didnt have daily housekeeping.
The food and all staff were awesome.. I really enjoyed all meals I had there!
The shower was tiny and difficult to get into And out of without soaking the whole bathroom..
Why even bother with the megaresort just up the hill? The rooms are on the smaller side but they are very clean, and very comfortable. The food portions at the restaurant make up for that, what a superb dining experience ! Would stay again 100% sure !
Everything about this bed breakfast is great. When we are in Freeport this is the only place worth staying.
We have nothing negative to say about the inn.
Generally very good. Great bar and food. Nice, clean rooms. Good location for skiing (10 minute or less drive to Jay Peak). Good connection on WiFi. Great value...
Would have been nice to have a small desk in the room...
Food was phenomenal and plentiful. The accommodations were charming.
We loved being in an old-style Vermont inn as opposed to the anonymous monster hotel on the hill. The owner went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. The restaurant was homey and warm. The hot tub was a welcome touch. We would stay here again!
It may sound crazy to some people but the portions of food were just way too big. So there were a lot of (non-recyclable) plastic containers going home with every diner.
The hot tub jets were weak
