Sky City at The Pier    

A superbly equipped apartment in a perfect location for experiencing all that New York has to offer but with a more relaxed environment once you leave Manhattan. The apartment and it's facilities exceeded my expectations as did the area of Jersey City it was located in. The view of the Manhattan skyline from the apartment was breathtaking, the size, layout and equipment in the apartment were modern, clean and excellent and the additional facilities within the building such as the children's playroom were an added bonus. Travel into Manhattan was extremely easy and very convenient. Even the flexibility of the Sky City staff when arranging a few extra hours in the apartment ahead of our late flight made the whole experience perfect. I would very much recommend this apartment and location to anybody and I will certainly use this option when visiting New York again.

No TV in Master bedroom. 2 single beds in second bedroom, and firmness of mattress in Master bedroom

It is imposible to leave the lugagge for some hours, there are no facilities for this in the building

Location, location, location. Spacious, well equipped, very clean, fabulous views

Rooms other than living area were cold, No window locks to secure bedroom which was accessible by neighbour's balcony. No safe for valuables. No instructions on how to use appliances (minor quibbles)

We liked the close proximity to public transport, eg: Light rail, path Stations etc. Also you could connect to a fast ferry and bus from Lincoln Harbour using light rail. We would assume most guests would be wanting to spend most of their time in Manhattan, but there are some nice attractions in nj as well. Even though we understood that there are no staff as such, being an apartment building, we would highly commend both of the concierges for the help they gave us.

Probably this really applies to management systems but we went through Booking.com and supplied a credit card to confirm the booking. This was done in January 13. for a stay from 23rd to 30th March. We didn't like the fact that "Sky City" charged the card immediately and not nearer the time of our stay. We were led to believe that we would be charged at the time of stay. We understood the cancellation policies and amounts which could have been charged if we had decided to cancel.

Location was superb and view was great

The Pier has fantastic location and facilities, very nice view, well equiped, good internet, quiet area , just one stop from Manhattan by train, very good value for money

You need to arrive definitly after check-in hours. Before that there is no one around to ask for help or storage etc.

It was always clean and fresh smelling. Great room and great location to near by towns including New York.

Hearing the horns blowing and the garbage truck so early in the morning. Every morning we were woken up with the sound of something. (CITY LIFE) Would we stay there again? YES YES YES

Loved the price and location. Very clean and the best view of manhattan. Highly recommended. Location is perfect for families on a budget who want to stay out of the city. The path train is a block away and will take you directly to the world trade center for $1.70 in 4 minutes. .

Wish the streets were more lit up around the appartments and that there was a supermarket closer.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Sky City at the Pier! The apartment was very clean, very comfortable, large (couldn't believe we had a walk in closet in NYC), and quiet with an amazing view of the city. We loved coming back at night to a quiet area away from all the noise of the city. The PATH train is right next to the pier which makes traveling back and forth a breeze. Unfortunantly we stayed there 1 month after "Sandy" so repairs on the PATH were causing it to be on limited transportation. We were still able to catch the light rail and the NJ bus to Times Square easily so it all worked out. If the Path had been running at full capacity it would have been nothing to commute over the Hudson.

Practically nothing. The only thing (very minor) was the toilet was a little noisy and you had to jiggle the handle to get it to stop running.

The apartment was exactly as it looked in the photos. It was so comfortable and had everything that we needed. The Path stop at Exchange Place was so convenient and was only four mins away from WTC. Our contact at Sky City Apartments was very helpful and we will definitely be staying at The Pier on our return trip.

At first the eccellent location, the apartament was large and clean. The kitchen had all it was necessary. Wonderful the lounge room with an eccellent view of NYC skyline.

Your questionaire refers to a hotel. The Sky City at the Pier is not a hotel but an apartment building. It offers no services.However, We enjoyed our stay there. The apt was very clean and comfortable and the location was great.

Great location. Very close to Path to reach Manhattan (200 mt). Very clean, a lot of confort, panoramic view. Good price.

The apartment is very confortable, clean, well furnished and only 5 minutes of path train from Manhattan. The view on Manhattan is amazing. We were 5 adults and the apartment was perfect for us. A great experience!

The location of the apartment complex was very good. 5mins walking distance to the Exchange Place PATH station, which is 1 stop away from the WTC. The quality of the apartment was high and the facilities in the apartment were very well maintained. The staff/concierge at the complex are wonderful. We were extremely grateful to John in particular, who was relentless in helping us on the night we checked in. When we first arrived at the apartment almost at midnight on Sept 9, 2012, they could not find our booking. John proceeded to make various phone calls to booking.com and SkyCity (who were the actual managers of the apartments we had booked). Eventually, he was able to get SkyCity to allocate an apartment for us. Although it was not his responsibility that booking.com had lost our reservation and had not contacted SkyCity to secure our booking, John was determined to find a place for us to stay. Thank you again John!! We really appreciated it.

loved the location. Easy access to the city but a relaxing area to return to. Riverside walkway to Newport for ferry or shopping. The views. From our apartment we looked out across the Hudson to the Manhattan skyline. Absolutely beautiful in the evening and a joy to wake up to. I loved sitting in the early morning watching the ferries and cruise liners . The roof terrace. Again overlooking the Hudson and all that was going on.

I cannot think of a negative.

Great views across, the Hudson. Very quiet, easy commute to WTC by Path train. Great to have an apartment with lots of space, kitchen, laundry etc. Also loved the roof top!

Long walk from elevator to our room. Elevator very noisy and slow.
