The beauty, the ppl at the desk in Country Inn were very helpful and obliging. Makes travel easier for a single mom.
Gym was a little dated. My kids took ski lessons, the older man, the organizer not instructor, was a bit of a pill. Even the manager in the store was surprised at his behavior.
This is a very pretty resort. The room was great.Good food upstairs and the staff very friendly.Nice rustic look that suits the whole alpine atmosphere.Very kid friendly with a nice selection of runs for beginners. My son loved it and made major strides in his skiing ability.
Beware if you don't have Verizon or AT&T.I didn't have coverage and the land line in the room didn't do long distance so my only communication was via email. They don't do breakfast which seams odd if they have a full kitchen. Most people prefer to have breakfast prior to suiting up for skiing. This is why I didn't give it full marks.
What great staff, and you can't get closer to the mountain. The bed was fine and there is a small kitchen, also coffee in lobby and a restaurant on premises. Bathroom was updated and plenty of hot water.
The décor is sort of like staying at Grandma's house. I think each unit is individually owned and they add their own touches so it may be that each room is different. Except for the bathroom, needed updating.
Pool, hot tub and tennis courts are too far away from unit
Room was great except for upstairs guests
Size of two bedroom condo (huge) Location Prompt attention from maintenance to first two maintenance issues we found upon arrival. Ability to ask for late check out (noon) with no problem Comfortable beds, good towels. Two bedrooms, multiple beds.
Numerous maintenance issues including VERY Loud A.C./ heating apparatus, even when off. Jacuzzi tube in master bath in operational due to drain would not close to hold water. I left a list of six things in need of repair when I checked out. On site dinner restaurant marginal.
Facility has a work program for Disabled which gives employment & teaches cleaning & janitorial skills.
Quality of restaurant food was only mediocre at John Havard
We like everything except restaurants. Christensen's Tavern has a poor choice of food, terrible service (and very slow, too). The resort should either provide a list of nearby eateries, or allow the others to open something inside. Because they know there is nowhere else to go, they don't care. A simple burger should not take 30 minutes to cook; maybe, they need more cooks.
The choice of restaurants open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are no choices available. The tavern opened for lunch is horrible. Yesterday, we weren't given forks/knives for 15 minutes AFTER the food was brought; coffee was cold, and the cream wasn't brought at all. The fish was raw; we waited for 15 minutes to have it cooked, and it was brought in the same conditions. again.
Staff Location in the mountains Calm Size of room Suite well equipped
Price for activities Game room no longer open Sofa bed not comfortable
Clean accommodations with kitchen area.
Rooms are old and worn. TV Remote in Main room did not work TV Screen was the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel room. Meager TV Channel listing Only One small bottle of shampoo to be shared by two guests for two nights. Free cookies in lobby for guests were the worst.
Rooms were very comfortable and spacious.
No internet access in our room. Had to go to lobby to gain access.
Lots of things to do and restaurant on site.
Mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Bedding was old and need replacing.
The condo was spacious and very clean. There was room for everyone to spread out or be together, as desired. The pools were refreshing but not cold, and the hot tubs soothed achy muscles. Having restaurants and a store on premises to buy groceries when we didn't want to go out was great! I can't wait to bring the grandkids to enjoy the adventure parks.
The third bedroom needed an air conditioner.
The main purpose of our trip was a visit to Tanglewood and we found the location good. Additionally we really enjoyed all of the activities at Jiminy Peak
We were there for the James Taylor concerts at Tanglewood on the 3rd & 4th It was very comfortable. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful
