Excellent location in the heart of K-Town. A very Korean friendly experience and staff. Great view of the mountains and Hollywood hills from the window seat. Walking distance to many restaurants and right between 6th and Wilshire Blvd for convenience.
the bed and pillow was so very nice. most hotels sleeping on the floor is best. to get a wonderfully comforting mattress (bed) was very nice and I will be returning to the j.j. grand.

Gentleman parking the greeting and taking your car to park was absolutlely BRILLIANT ! He is my memory of the JJ Grand hotel..and it exactly what you would like for your front of house( did not get his name but a man in his 30's or 40's)

Staff tried to downgrade our room at time of check in. Their "restaurant" if you can call it that, had no staff at lunch time nor was anyone present during the breakfast the hotel provides which I had paid extra for. Valet had lost our keys and valet ticket and was unsure which car was ours. Was under the impression someone affiliated with the hotel was using my vehicle other than to provide the valet services. Overall it was a very unpleasant and unsafe stay. Will never stay here again.
Front desk woman was unbelievably unfriendly and rude. They answer the phone in Korean and sounds very unhappy speaking English. The building is old and dirty. Underneath of the bed were super dirty. They are friendly to Korean guests, so you may stay there if you are a Korean or can speak Korean.

That we couldn't extend our stay for one night. The hotel was sold out!
Its a hotel thats cater mostly to Japanese , Koreans which I dont mind except that all employees I spoke too barely speak english . The room smells and the carpet looks like more than a century old.

Everything I needed! Wasn't upset about anything.
The hotel was out dated. The room need to be remodeled, bathtub faucet drips all day n night. Very hard to control the hot water, it took us awhile to get the temperature right for my kids to take a shower. Kids wanted to take a bath, could not because the tub drained is broken. The first night were very tired after Universal Studio so did not bother to check the covers and pillows, the next morning when I woke up I was disgusted by what I had my head on...the pillow was full of mold. Will definitely come back to this Hotel since it a bit over price.
No microwave oven in the room. There was water in the bathroom floor and ceiling caused by another guest's fault. It affected 7 bedrooms. It took awhile before we were moved to another room but they did it. It's not their fault though.
The upgrade when my room was unavailable.

Clean and close to businesses in koreatown
They released me from the charges even though my reservation said I couldn't get a refund.
Booked a room shown as two room two bed and it was only one room. Live close by and went to escape the heat. Got there, no A/C in lobby and very poor in the room. They don't advertise that there is no pool.
Staff was friendly.
With the money I paid for my staying, I could get a better hotel in a better location. Also, I should get a free parking; However, I had to pay each time I come back to the hotel.
