Staff was excellent and very friendly, room was small but very cozy.
The location can't be beat. You can see the entire city without a car.
Pretty ordinary hotel, a little rundown, but OK. One of the elevators was broken when I was there, so it took a long time getting to the 8th floor.
Staff at arival very pleasant.
Only one elevator working, Breakfast, only one toaster and no tray to bring something back to room for partner. No parking out front for loading or unloading car.
- location, location, location! - quietness - responsive staff
- lobby is a little monolithic and cold - no gym (but at this price who cares?)
Centrally located, nice cozy room
There was a rather large cockroach in my room the first night I was there
The location is excellent and it's a quiet area. The price was right for what you get.
The bed was average
Great Location, Friendly and helpful front desk. Nice breakfast and great breakfast room. Great price.
Hotel need refurbishing
The location was convenient.
My room was dingy and very old fashioned. The bathroom seemed old and unclean. Wifi was available in lobby only. It reminded me of the Shining! Ths staff was warm and very helpful :)
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was cosy and warm(late November in Boston is cold, who knew.) It is right off Copley square and 1 minute away from Back Bay station. Easy walking distance from Boylston street which has pubs, restaurants, shops etc
Room decor was very dated especially the bathroom, could do with some modernising(fix the electrical buzz in the bathroom light too)
Very dated, pictures on website not representative of the room in which I stayed, furniture very dated, curtains looked dirty, overall musky smell in hotel; room right next to elevator shaft, so loud humming noise the whole night, ask to be moved and was told not possible as no rooms.
Rug was terribly stained Bathroom had no shelve to set personal items Shower pressure was abysmal with shower wand...no traditional shower head Room was small/cramped TV was maybe 23" although good channel selection No food or bar service Poor signage on exterior for entrance A number of steps to enter the hotel and no assistance with luggage; was told there was a "lift" but that was nowhere to be found upon arrival
excellent location to Copley Square. food, essentials close by and very close to the green and orange lines. Cold breakefact was a nice plus.
Spotty internet in rooms and directions from the T on website needs to be corrected. It is much easier to get to hotel than stated.
Location of the hotel
The room was small, bathroom was not clean, hotel personal was not kind and they didn't want to help with some suggestion/recommendation about basic city info. The cost is much to high of what they offer.
This hotel was very easy to get to, and the location was outstanding. Staff was very nice, parking was right next door, in room coffee maker was real nice. For the location, the price was awesome. No real complaints at all.
The bathroom reminded me of my grandmother's house when I was a kid. But who cares, the water was hot and the toilet worked.
Staff was very helpful in guiding us to tourist attractions and other events.
Way over priced for the amenities then having to pay a large bill for the parking. For the price of the very outdated room the parking should have been included.
worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Extremely dirty and old
Staff friendly and helpful Great location Fair price Clean Comfortable Quiet
Breakfast was very poor Hotel is in desperate need of refurbishing WIFI limited
hard pillows and very old bathrooms! maybe a remodel would be a good idea.
GOOD VALUE ,GOOD LOCATION FOR SITESEEING AND GOOD BREAKFAST
THE HOTEL IS A LITTLE DATED BUT HEY YOU ONLY REARLY SLEEP THERE
What I like the most was the location and the staff. The location could not be better and the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant.
What I didn't like it still looks of the hotel because it looks very tired and in dire need of updating in just about every aspect. The lobby lights are very dim and better lighting would be nicer to make the place a little bit more cheery. The carpet in the room that I had was very old and dirty looking even if it wasn't. I did not want to walk on it barefoot or with my socks. The bathroom was very small with a very old sink and fixtures even though everything worked fine. I know Boston is expensive, but the way that this hotel is, it should've cost between 125 and 150, and not 229 which was an offer meaning that normally a cost even more. There are better hotels for 229 when they are on sale. I would recommend changing the carpet and replacing chipped furniture and making the lobby brighter.
Location, staff helpful and nice, price high but it is Boston Breakfast, coffee in room
Not much, other than the great location. Our room had most of the amenities one would expect in a good hotel, but they didn't pull together for a pleasant stay.
The hotel is very difficult to find. Terrible signage. From the small entrance it's five or so steps up into the lobby. The lobby is poorly lit and uninviting. Our room had just about enough room to swing a cat, a Manx cat. Breakfast was boring, with little selection. At night, a security guard blocked the lobby entry -- to keep out undesirables, I guess. We would not go back.
The location is excellent.
The breakfast if very poor, very little choice. The carpets are stained. The bath was damaged, no stoppers in the bath & sink. The decor in hallways and rooms are dated.
