The night manager was the best manager at any hotel I have ever been to. He helped me with my problem with noise from neighbors in a different facility. He was gracious and very helpful.
The waffles and coffee were good. The beds were also comfortable. Great beach location.
The sand fleas in the hall. The tv didn't work. No budge on the check out time. The patio door was difficult to open and when it didn't it literally fell off the track and outta the window space lol. Wasn't a motel but ahould be classified as such. Shame because with proper renovations it could be a nicer place.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! We got married there and we could not have been treated better if we were family!
no elevators no guard rails in shower
The location was good.
To much money for the room.
The bed was great, loved the pillows! Great size refrigerator. Just wish we could have stayed longer and had ocean view room!
On our porch only had 1 chair? for a double room....
Being on the beach, clean, nice housekeeping staff
There is a notable musty smell that does not go away. Also, would like to have screen on sliding glass door.
Nostalgic facilities.. Old time seaside resort next to beach
Not that I didn't like.. Just a bit run down
This was a trip to our old vacation stomping grounds when my hubby and I were still working. We hadn't been back for fifteen years, since we retired and moved to Florida. This was a wonderful revisit, and the John Yancey Inn was perfect for its location. We could throw open the balcony doors and slumber to the sound of pounding surf. Delightful! Yes, we plan to come back.
We have a handicap license on our vehicle, but there was only one handicap parking place at the Four Seasons facility, and it was a very narrow turn backing out. Most of the time we parked in a regular spot, but again it wasn't wide enough for a handicap vehicle.
It was clean.
The room had a funny smell at first but I didn't notice it after a while.
We liked our room. It was oceanview. Wish it had been facing the ocean though since we booked in the off season! Boys enjoyed the closeness to the beach and liked the pool too. Very happy about the WiFi!
We really did not have any problems to report. Parking was tight but we managed to fit in the lot!
Location was perfect and breakfast was included.
Pictures were deceiving it looked like everyone had a room on the beach .
Location / buffet breakfast and friendly breakfast staff
Old hotel / very basic accommodations / no hot water in shower/ thin walls / un friendly front end personnel
I loved the fact you could walk right out on the beach!! The hotel was neat clean and a great value!! Hotel staff was very friendly
The hotel needs to be updated. The room smelt old and we had ants in our room. They really need to replace the carpeting and update the place. I will not stay again we were very disappointed. Had to inspect the sheets because there was hair on the throw pillow.
Great room! Stepped right onto the beach! Perfect.
the room was comfortable, although we wish the weather had been better. Also the pics on the website were of the rooms that opened to the beach as the back yard. We didn't have one of those but ours was nice too.
the price was kinda high for it not being right on the beach which I thought it would be.
Liked the location and the beach wasn't crowded, the place was clean, and I was 20 feet from the beach. Staff was helpfully and freindly.
Some mold noted in first room
Close to the beach and quite
The room smell as a cigarette. I asked no smoking room
First night we found more than a dozen of cockroaches, we brought a few of them to Management Office and we spoke with the Manager Mrs. Linda she offered us the total amount back, we refused and decided to stay, middle of the night and weekend we could be without a room. Ask for the room fumigated next day, they didn't do it, we ended spraying the room ourself, after this we only found a few dead cockroaches. Their explanation was because of heat and humidity, after we fumigated they were almost gone. Breakfast is also a low point. We are not coming back , ever again.
Close to the beach!! Very helpful general manager and staff.
Older rooms, thin walls where you could hear every word from the TV next door, pet rooms connected to non-pet rooms....yapping dogs at 6:00am when you are on vacation.....something I could live without.
Poor parking options.
Location on the ocean was excellent Staff tried to be helpful Breakfast was good
Hotel is very dog friendly-not just little dogs, but New Foundlands, German Shepards etc Parts of hotel are very old and rundown Wall extremely thin Price seemed high for what you get
