Location Comfortable for the price Helpful staff
No free wifi
Easy to get places. Nice accommodations. Plumbing lacked a bit, but otherwise very nice.
Toilet took 4 flushes to actually flush. Shower pressure very low.
Great place, wonderful location
Air conditioning was broken---once it became hot and humid it would make an awful noise and stop blowing. As soon as it was turned off for about an hour, it would work again for another half hour.
The location is right in the center of the city. Large room. Bathroom has good quality shampoos, body wash, etc....
Window does not have a blackout curtains Have to pay for WIFI (and expensive) while other hotels offer it for free. Bathroom door is in glass and hence if you want to take a shower, the companion will wake up
They were very welcoming upon arrival. The room was very clean Staff were very friendly. The room was big enough and the bathroom was fine. The location was excellent.
Unfortunately the air conditioner didnt work in the room and being summer it was very hot. It did get seen to but it wasnt fixed. We could have asked for another room but didnt want the hassle. This isn't really a big deal but thought I should mention it...
Place is perfect.
Furniture and bathroom materials were to bad and. Tv was very old. Refrigerator was not work. All parts of the building should be renoveited immediately.
The location was just incredible: we arrived in the evening, dropped off our bags and were able to walk just a few blocks to see Times Square and the Empire State Building at night. The room was also cleaned everyday to a good standard.
The staff were on the whole rather grumpy, and when we had a problem with our first room it wasn't dealt with immediately: we had to go back to reception again to request to change rooms. It was also very expensive, but that's to be expected for the location in midtown Manhattan.
The ice machines are scarce.
Room comfortable but carpet old and dirty. Front desk staff and room cleaner efficient and pleasant.
Breakfast arrangements are a shambles. The cost is too high for what you get and the service poor. The waiters are expected to do room service breakfast as well as dining room service resulting in the latter being hopeless. We had to wait outside the dining room for about ten minutes although there were ten or eleven vacant tables. The manageress was not friendly, efficient or helpful and made no apology for keeping people waiting.
The location is perfect
That I asked for a two double bed and they had few of them, although i had a deluxe room
the location was excellent. The cleanliness was not stellar but was adequate. The remodeled room was nice but had many short comings. All in all, location was about the only thing this property has going for it.
When we arrived we were told that they only had a room with a single king size bed even though I had indicated that I desired a room with two double beds since I was traveling with my son. They offered to provide a roll away which is not a good solution and couldn't have been used anyway since there was no room to set it up. This put a damper on our entire stay since sleeping was uncomfortable. There was no point in giving the option for two double beds within the Deluxe Room category if they were not going to reserve the room and honor the request. This was especially irritating since I pre-paid the room and the indication was that if I changed the reservation...even to a lower tier room to have two beds...I would forfeit that money. Extremely disappointing all around. I would not book this property again unless they could guarantee my room request. I noted several properties in the same vicinity that I will look to for my next trip to New York. The carpets were dirty and the bath towels were thin and rough. This is definitely not a four star property as I believe it was advertised.
Good location generous size room by most standards. Rate reasonable.
Thought the hotel breakfast was a bit limited. Buffet could include ready cooked foods.
This hotel has a very central location and is clean and cormfortable.
My room had almost no natural light. As it was looking out into an interior courtyard
Amazing bed....very comfortable. Great bathroom and really large room sizes for a NYC hotel.
Location was central for shopping and the usual tourist sites. Comfy bed and surprisingly not noisy for such a centrally located hotel. Really clean and polite staff.
Hotel needed updating with bedroom decor and heating system. We couldn't work the system so were boiling for the first few days until the room had cooled down via having the windows open constantly.
This was the most rancid nasty place. The toilet overflowed and the water came into the bedroom. Management refused a new room or a refund. I am submitting a formal complaint to the better business bureau on lack of hospitality!! Shameful
It was fine
no free wifi
Massive bed, helpful staff, luggage storage facilities, great location, looked nice.
Internet costed money.
Wasnt sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The room was very nice, bed comfortable, bathroom large with a nice display of complimentary toiletries. Location was good - I would certainly recommend. Front desk was very polite.
The location of this hotel was perfect. The view of the Empire State Building was gorgeous.
The Pictures are deceiving. I booked a deluxe room but when I got there it seemed like a Standard. it was very tiny. it consist of just a bedroom and bathroom. The hotel staff did not properly clean the room, for there was a old cupcake that was left in the fridge, hair in the tub and the wine glasses were dirty.
Location, clean bathroom, nice staff
You need to pay for wifi :)
The location is excellent for sightseeing in Manhattan.
The location is brilliant and the staff was friendly and polite.
The room was too hot. No chance to control the air-condition!
The location is suitable for those on sight seeing or tourist holidays, as it is easy enough to get to the major attractions.
Significant improvements must be made at this hotel should they have any chance of attracting any returning guests at all. We would certainly never stay here again. The hostility and unhelpfulness of the staff (everyone from front lobby through to waiters in the breakfast room) was truly alarming. The public areas (lobby, hallways etc.) are in need of a serious update as they are cold and dark with worn, dated décor. The superior rooms are in particular need of an update, as they have dingy, green, stained carpets and dark, dated, unappealing décor. The bathrooms were clean, but the rooms are in urgent need of an update. We were stunned to find small old box TV's with blurry image quality still being used in these rooms in the age of the flat screen! All in all, the standard of guest service and accommodation offered is truly shocking considering the rates charged. Having stayed at several hotels over the festive period, this one really stood out for all the wrong reasons, as it fell far below standards in every respect. This is the first negative review I have ever been compelled to write, but this really was quite an unpleasant place to stay.
