Filthy, abandoned buildings and homes, homeless, drug dealers, drug heads and prostitution everywhere, rude and hateful locals. Most attractions were closed down and camping sites were overrun with homeless people in tents. No law enforcement in sight. Joplin Missouri is basically just gas stations and hotels nothing worth seeing.

Joplin is a very nice town and easy to get around. We were passing through on our way to Bella Vista. We loved the location as we got in late and wanted a nice dinner, which we got at Cheddars, I highly recommend the restaurant, excellent food, great staff and prices were very good.

Joplin is a good weekend getaway.
Joplin is a good weekend getaway. We went to the local waterfall and had a wonderful time taking pictures and climbing on the rocks. We absolutely loved Roller City for the skating and laser tag. Their laser tag option was nice laser guns and made for a great day of family fun. We also stopped at the civil war battle site in Carthage which was small but informative for our history buffs. I even dropped into the Precious Moments chapel which was cute and really informative about the artist and his life. The grounds are beautiful and it felt like a great piece of Americana. We drove on Route 66 as well. In past trips, I have gone to Oceans of Adventure which the little ones just loved. So, plenty to do for a 3-day weekend adventure.

The room had to be heated, there was excessive noise from pounding to voices. The bathroom had no heat, water from the shower got on the bathroom floor. The bathrooms in the lobby did not work. The breakfast area had nothing but out of order signs tacked onto the equipment.

Got there, checked in, to find out that they had us all the way in the back, that's strike one. Couldn't accommodate my handicap sister, strike two. Went out to get something to eat, climb those stairs to find out the key didn't work. Back down to the desk and the man said that happens sometimes, that done it for me. Never will I stay there again!
Nice facility, clean room with a comfortable bed. The room was pretty small, but the facility was well kept. The bathroom vanity was fairly small, but separate from the toilet/tub area. The door to the bathroom is a little awkward, but the bathroom itself was very nice and roomy. Lots of water pressure and hot water! Hotel is located near a large variety of restaurants. Nice continental breakfast in the morning with a very sweet lady that kept everything filled, and checked to make sure everyone had what they needed.
We loved this fresh, clean, modern extended stay hotel. The room was nice and spacious. There was an excellent hot breakfast with eggs, oatmeal, waffles, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, yogurt, juices, coffee, and so much more. The kitchenette complete with dishwasher and a nice size fridge was a great accommodation. We also realized this is a pet friendly hotel.
The breakfast was great. Fresh fruit is always a healthy element. The chef was friendly, clean, and helpful. The desk clerk was very friendly, with an inviting smile and helpful attitude. I have a conference in Oct in lake Charles, Louisiana and are planning to book the hotel there. I can't say enough about the layout of the room and the bathroom.
I like the location especially knowing there was a furniture store and I glad to see my inventions, products LLC trademark and patent at Dollar General and I compared this Dollar General to other locations and this one was neat and clean better than my hotel room

Location was good. We were going to visit friends in Neosho, so Joplin was good proximity to our destination.
We also thought the cleaning staff did a really good job of making the room feel clean and comfortable!
They gave us a discount on the 2nd room we needed because booking.com lied about the space our room would have.
I think this location might have been remodeled since I stayed last because I don't remember the rooms looking like they do now. It's very nice!
The full breakfast buffet was open unlike sack breakfast that so many hotels are still having at this time. It's very good with lots of variety.
Extremely clean for a pet friendly hotel. I travel with a non shedding labradoodle and have always been given pet rooms with previous pet hair left behind.
You’d never know this is a pet friendly hotel. Will definitely stay here again! Staff was extremely awesome and very friendly.
This is a very comfortable place to stay. The hotel is decorated pleasantly, it is clean, and great hot breakfast . The internet is fast and easy to connect to. Everything in bathroom worked and having a microwave and refrigerator in the room is great.
Good price, easy to find. The staff were very nice and accommodating to our very very late check-in. Room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Biscuits and gravy at breakfast was really good for a hotel breakfast!
My room key didn’t work. Was given a new one which also didn’t work. The place was very run down and scary. I requested the staff cancel my reservation after the room key wouldn’t work the second time.
Check in was great. The ladies were more than accommodating.
The second room was cleaner than the first.
Pictures were made of the first room.
Ladies quickly moved us to a cleaner room.
Nice variety for breakfast. Room was spacious and everything is new and in good working order. Nice to have a small kitchnette although we were just staying a single night driving through.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was basic but good and hot. Everything was clean in the foyer/breakfast area was clean and tidy. It was small but functional.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel had a welcoming atmosphere and was filled with friendly people.
