Our friends had room which was cleaner and a bit updated. Our room had mystery stains on the walls and carpet. Potential is there but really just icky
No staff on duty. Tub didn't drain. Window didn't lock. Burnt out lights. No maid service in a three day stay. Shower head falls off when moved.
The motel was fairly recently purchased. While it still needs some work, the staff is really trying to do that. Since it's not a chain, that takes a little more time. We had a clean room, comfortable, nice linens, etc. The staff did their best to meet the demands of all the guests. The AC and microwave worked. We had plenty of towels. Very friendly people and just a great time. Yes, some of the rooms weren't as nice as ours, but given some time I really feel this motel will be super! Again, we enjoyed our stay and were very happy there.
The place is still being cleaned up, landscaping, empty buildings, etc. Again, I am sure in some time all of these things will be fixed up.
The price was reasonable and location was in the center of Eureka Springs.
Rooms had very musty smell and not real clean, cobwebs on wall, mattress very uncomfortable, no maid service, no ice available. We left a day early even tho we had paid for it.
the staff/ owner was very nice upon arrival. Bed and pillows were okay.
The room was not clean. Bathroom walls were dirty, tub and sink were very old and stained. Window and window sills were dirty. Receptacle covers were broken and dangerous. exterior doors were old and very flimsy and didn't feel safe. Grounds and exterior were not well kept and appeared cluttered and trashy. Coffee pot in room didn't work. TV was very old and very small. There was nowhere to hang clothes or keep suitcase. Room smelled very musty and old. Only stayed one of our two night paid stay. Would not have stayed one night if we could have found anything else available. I wanted to cry and hardly slept all night.
The staff was great and friendly and the pool was great.
There was a big yellow stain on the comforter. So big it was the first thing I saw when I opened the door. The bed was by far not the most comfortable I've ever slept in. But,to top it all off the towels were dirty in the morning when we went to shower. Had to dry off with a hand towel. The motel was nice and the staff very friendly. But,it was the dirtiest I've ever stayed in.
The motel was close to down town.
OK first the pictures they show on the website is not at all what you get. The Motel is in very bad shape. There was trash everywhere. Room had bugs and spiders and webs. There was no towels only face and hand.Paint allover shower curtain. The room smelled like mildew. We had to get the owner to come to the room the key we had wouldn't open the bottom lock he told us oh you shouldn't have locked bottom lock we had no clue. Stood there for 45 min while he tried old keys. After trying all of them he had to brake in. Then we had no towels after getting them they were hand towels. No vending no ice. So on top of all that we still had to pay 159.00 for two days. I will not be back.
Secluded while yet in the midst of the attractions of the town. great bed and great towels and bedding.
Pool was under construction and parking was limited.
We had a chance to see some really fun wildlife.
Very old style room. Had a funny smell. Bed was very hard. Still under construction so a lot of work for them to do yet. The pool was not ready.
The location in the town was the best part about it. It was a reasonable walk to the downtown area where all the attractions were.
The room had a musky smell to it, reminded me of grandma'a house. Bed was not comfortable what so ever. The property really needed some work, there where trees growing out of the gutters and the pool was empty with only green water in the bottom. With some investing in the property it could be nice again. For the time being this is a place where you get what you pay for. Low cost = low quality.
Microwave caused circut breaker power failure. Sat in dark for a while
The size of the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The owner was very sweet and accomadating. Loved the chairs out front.
The hotel needs an ice machine, and a little remodeling inside and out.
Good location, lots of old, tall pines.
Yellow water flows from the faucets. Tub didn't drain. Carpet had many stains. Room smelled musty. Property contained dilapidated structures that need demolition. Pool was inoperable and is a health and safety hazard - probably needs to be filled with topsoil if they aren't going to repair it. The website pictures of the facility are very misleading.
The location being close to downtown/main street
The false advertisement of the online representation verse the actual facility, the lack of cleanliness, the lack of full features and supplies expected at a regular or even normal motel, the feeling of being unsafe based on the doors not completely locking, the receptionist not being completely trained to accept the perfered payment, having to pay when u check in, even though the website booking specifically said u pay when u check out, the main office being unattended at the time of check out to confirm guests checked out on time, to avoid being charged an additional day, even when the guests were ready to turn in their key on the booked check out date and time, and being unable to receive a receipt for personal records to confirm the payment was correct and completed. Also not being offered by the motels owner to have a receipt mailed to ur home address as a courtesy. All in all, its not a location we will be considering to stay at again, unless it was a completely free offer, but even under those circumstances other locations would be heavily considered, even if it meant paying a higher rate. This is NOT a location i would recommend or suggest to ANYONE, whether we know them personally or not. Negative 5 stars for sure, except for the convenience of the location compared to getting to downtown easily.
The fact that we found a different hotel after the first night for the remainder of our stay in eureka springs.
Bug infestation, mold in bathroom, broken ac, carpet was loose on floor and was raised up in the middle like a rolling prarie, pillow cases had unidentifiable stains and the sheets had blood spots. The pool was under reconstruction supposedly, and the end of the building we were put in looked like the front yard of sanford and sons junk yard/flea market. Once the hotel is properly restored and under management that is ethical, with morals, and realizes that you don't put people in rooms that you would not let tour worst enemy sleep in than it will probably be an asset to the wonderfully unique town that is eureka springs arkansas.
There was a close-by trailhead for a great Ozark hike to Black Bass Lake, perfect for my morning exercise. I also liked that I could easily walk to the historic district. The back of the motel looks out on a woodsy hollow. Friendly owner.
The motel is in disrepair. Water stains on the ceiling and a big stain on the carpet outside the bathroom.
It is handy for the ufo conference across the street. The new owner is really fixing it up
